A traditional British pub in the heart of historic Winchester, opposite the cathedral. Our menu ranges from pub classics and light bites to more sophisticated fare for special occasions, along with an interesting selection of local Hampshire real ales.

There’s something to suit all tastes. We can cater for most dietary requirements, including vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free.

Always enjoy coming back to The Old Vine - this time it was our first post-lockdown meal. Menu was quite short but we were both very happy with our choices, very nice cooked food and efficient friendly service. have recommended it before and very happy to do so in the future.

Lunch after lockdown 2. Fast and efficient. They didn’t get out booking through opentable even though we had proof of the booking. So we were in a back room which was quite characterless but the food and service were excellent. And had we been in the main pub it would have been 5 star all around.

I ordered the salmon, it was so salty(the fish and the mashed potato). Its like I ate salt. My husband ordered the duck,it was dry and bland.

Good service, food and atmosphere: very much enjoyed the lamb casserole. Excellent selection of beers on tap, including Timothy Taylor.

Excellent COVID related service (thanks to Jason) that was the best we received during our 3 day trip to Winchester. Top quality beer as you’d expect from a Fuller’s pub. The premises are clean, well looked after and in close proximity to the cathedral.
