Very friendly pub. Staff very attentive. The best fish and chips that I have had in such a long time. A very enjoyable meal.

Table booked on this website. Turned up at pub at allotted time. And the pub was closed !!!! There was no indication when the pub was last open (did not look terribly recent), or when it might open again. Fortunately the cracking Indian in Wadhurst could fit us in.

Never got to eat here as pub cancelled due to temperatures! Did go for a drink but they closed at 9.30 on a Saturday turned lights off and locked door as we were leaving. Very disappointed.

We booked on OpenTable and we’re all prepared to have a nice meal only to discover that the pub was closed. Not notice and even the voicemail did not suggest they were closed. Avoid.

Unfortunately it was rather disappointing as they were short-staffed and very depleted menu meant not much choice and long waits. Good ambience and staff trying hard though.
