Food amazing as always, some very loud guests at another table but can’t be helped, staff friendly
Food good value and quality .Very busy for a monday lunch. Staff friendly and accommodating. Quite noisy as busy . Will definitely revisit
Had the Halloumi Sticks and Veggie Calzone, both amazing!
Too loud and average food. Not sure what all the fuss was about this place from friends
Had a great night out with friends, the food was tasty and service good. Cant fault anything, looking forward to my next meal here.
Simply a beautiful place to have brunch! The team were welcoming and extremely attentive. I am a vegetarian and the menu selection was good with the staff accommodating substitutes when asked. Views in the garden section are simply stunning!
Very good service , food was delicious
Fab food and wonderful staff
Great food and selection of alcohol. Prices a bit high but the service was great
Nice food and lovely staff every time
Shame they added peppers and cucumbers to the bruschetta. Onion tomato and pesto was fine
Hidden away in Ridge, with no passing trade and yet this little gem is always packed. I always make sure I book at the beginning of the week to get a Friday night table, pasta hors d’oeuvres and a pizza main also superb, the whole experience is five star. Ide’F. Ian
We ordered pasta and both dishes were delicious! The place is lovely, with great view. We will definitely go again.
Really great experience. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Lovely setting and nice menu but service was very rushed literally just put fork on the plate from finishing and they took the plates and straight away asked about desert. I had to ask them to slow down and give us a break and it wasn’t even really busy. A lot of waiting staff walking around waiting to ounce as soon as you finished which was very off putting. We had a 3 course meal in just under an hour, not what I was looking for for a late Saturday afternoon dinner.
I have lived within 10 minutes of the Old Guinea for 10 years, never visiting. Made our first visit on Saturday lunchtime, and thoroughly enjoyed. Friendly and helpful staff, great food, can’t wait to return with family and friends
Great breakfast for 5 and. a small dog in the bar. Very nicely served.
This was our first visit to The Old Guinea and it was quite amazing. The quality of food and friendliness of staff was outstanding. I have never had Italian food as good as this outside of Italy.
We will return. No doubt about that!
I would wholeheartedly recommend The Old Guinea
lovely service and quick deliverance of hot food
The restaurant was great but it was cold in there which really makes it uncomfortable. We did ask the heat to be turned up but did not notice a big difference. Diner was eating in their coats!
Very easy to book online, easy to find, in a quaint lovely setting. Very cosy inside , an excellent menu and very nice food. Staff were friendly and polite
Good, service, lovely staff everything is fantastic.
The food was great as always. However the service left something to be desired sadly There was no explanation on the site about a breakfast then lunch menu difference and a switch over where you couldn't order anything, so it was very confusing when we arrived because we got a few different explanations from the staff. We then got asked to move because a big table was coming in but i feel like we should have been sat somewhere else to begin with so we didn't have to move with a small child. Lastly, the wrong meal was brought up for myself so I had to wait for a new one to be cooked. Overall just a few little things that overall just left us a bit frustrated.
Excellent on all levels, looked after so well by Porsha and Sebastian
This is my first visit and the place obviously has been made into a very nice restaurant , the staff are very attentive and pleasant , the food is very good .
However it is just an Italian pizza and pasta restaurant and doesn't offer much else .
It appears to be a vibrant place and very popular .
Lovely time with little grandsons,
Food great as usual, really enjoy coming here
A lovely Italian restaurant. We went to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The food was great in taste and value. Service was brilliant. We will definitely go again. Highly recommended.
Great spot for lunch in convienient location close to M25/A1 interchange but with a rural feel. Easy parking, great place to meet friends travelling from different places. Pizzas were good, service friendly if a little on the slow side (don’t go in a rush) decent value for money. Will be returning!
Our waitress Portia and maybe Jasmine were so lovely. Our food was perfect. We prefer to not have cucumber and peppers on our bruschetta, we like tomato onion and pesto. We had plenty of food
Love this place although prefer being outside to inside. Fast service and good food! Price is great and able to get a table on the day (though it can be quite busy).
Nice location, good food and fair value. Service was ok, missed a spoon for a dessert but luckily we had a spare on the table, but a small point from an overall good experience.
Such a lovely place to eat and so accommodating to our kids! Amazing good with friendly staff and gorgeous views :) highly recommend
We booked for a birthday celebration, I did put it during my reservation, I was not asked, when I got there,
Then the staff kept asking if we wanted to order, it felt we were rushed, my order was wrong and was not advised if I substitute beef to spinach, there will be a charge,
My coffee was really cold, it then we got a extremely hot coffee
If you think that the pandemic is over - you can go there. Food is average though service is friendly.
Delicious food. Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere, if a little noisy. Only slight downer was they should have waited until all our meals were ready before bringing them out.
Definitely visit again.
Lovely restaurant & food was absolutely gorgeous…
We were disappointed as our table was booked for 8.00pm although we arrived early and were given the table early no one mentioned to us that the kitchen closes at 8.30pm. We were told this at 8.15pm and then rushed to order and eat quickly. We wanted to order another pizza but didn’t get a chance. Quite disappointed
Good beer, extensive menu, polite staff and a good mix of pasta, pizza and others.
3rd visit and food is impeccable as ever. The thinnest of thin crust pizzas was especially good. Certain beers were not available on the menu but overall would definitely recommend
It was so busy, which is the only reason I have marked them down. Service was a little slower and disorganised than their usual excellence.
Food was, as always, excellent.
We go regularly. It is my favourite restaurant.
This is my second time at The Old Guinea. Taking my boyfriends mother somewhere different for lunch. We were accommodated at a lovely table. Food was over all quite average compared to our first visit. My boyfriend’s beef lasagne lacked flavour and was extremely cheesy. His toffy pudding was cold and just then re-microwaved, not to impressed regarding this. Overall staff is great, and atmosphere is good. My pizza was lovely as well as my boyfriend’s moms mushroom truffle dish. I will be back to enjoy The Old Guinea and still recommend it to family and friends.
