The Old Clubhouse Pub has been the site of good times and warm welcomes since 1876 when it served as the original clubhouse of the Machrihanish Golf Club back in the days of Old Tom Morris. The atmosphere at The Old Clubhouse is one of a relaxed old-world style golf pub serving up delicious pub food and gourmet dinner offerings before becoming the site of nightly revelry for locals and guests alike. The meticulously restored interior has been masterfully crafted to recreate the pub as it may have looked more than 100 years earlier. To be honest a very disappointing meal. The service was slow. The soup very cold , the chips dry. Not much choice with beers nothing locally resourced.

Book to table online arrived to find no Sunday lunches available yet the advertise there Sunday lunches on the menu. Total waste of time and fuel to get there. Please sort this out you either have Sunday lunches or you don't.

Location is lovely and food was good, service very slow. We weren’t asked if we want any more drinks, empty plates left on table for ages and decided not to have dessert in the end as we had been waiting for so long!

Lovely cosy pub beside the golf course in beautiful Machrihanish. Traditional pub grub in a nice atmosphere and we also lucked out with an amazing sunset.

We had a lovely, warm welcome from the cheerful staff and they looked after us well too. Food was lovely and hot and there were generous portions. Hope to return soon.
