Alastair, Jo and the team look forward to welcoming you to the award winning Old Bear Inn.
All our food is freshly prepared and cooked to order. We source the best local and free range food wherever possible.
We hope you enjoy our relaxed pub atmosphere and informal service.
We have an excellent selection of Cask Marque accredited draught ales, lagers and ciders and a comprehensive wine list, as well as a full selection of soft drinks, and locally sourced, freshly ground coffee.
Open log fires and a vine covered outdoor patio are also features at The Old Bear.
Children, dogs and muddy boots are welcome.

Our recently refurbished dining room is available for hire, for meetings, weddings, birthdays and functions.We can accommodate approximately 50 covers seated, and buffet options are available. We have a maximum capacity of up to 100, and a licence up to midnight.Our dining room also hosts our well renowned Sunday carvery, where we have two sittings on Sunday lunchtime. Early booking is recommended.

Pleasant enough evening in a nice enough pub. Will we go back? Yes I think so, it was a nice atmosphere, the food was pretty good and the service was friendly and very good which always helps. Value-wise their steak night 2 for 1 looks very good assuming the steaks are the same good standard we received.

My friend and I meet up and visit here for a chance to catch up, five or six times a year. We keep returning because we like the atmosphere, we can sit and chat and enjoy our meal in a very pleasant environment. The Menu is very appealing, it seems to vary a bit from season to season. We are yet to try the Steak Night. The Specials are always tempting and we always enjoy our meal. Stay are friendly and service is good. I would recommend this venue for a quiet meal out. We will certainly return.

The Old Bear Inn is charming, cosy historical, delicious food with exceptional service. Highly recommended for lunch, dinner or just a drink.

Busy location with good beers and nice menu for evening meals - we went three times in a stay of 5 nights! Steak night on Tuesday's was very good Thank you
