Great customer service and ambiance. Will definitely visit again.
Service was horrible. Our waitress mistakenly brought a champagne instead of a bud light (not sure how you mix that up) our food took forever to come out and we were seeing a show that (something they’re used to) an unfortunately our food order got messed up as well without any time to send it back and get what we ordered. They offered to take it off the bill... and then forgot! Would not recommend going here before a night at the UC.
Service was poor. Server had a bad attitude. Service was very slow.. we had to ask multiple times for simple requests like getting the food and drinks we had ordered and for another carafe of water. It seemed like our server was actively ignoring us. Did not check on us. We had to get a manager involved to flag her down.
Had a great time. The menu was a little limited, but the Chicken Sandwich was outstanding.
The Ogden has a great vibe as soon as you walk in. We had early reservations so it was not crowded when we got there which was nice. Our server was great. Very attentive and helpful with suggestions from both the drink menu and the food. We had chicken wraps and pulled pork sliders. The truffle fries were delicious. We would definitely recommend the Ogden and we’ll be back again.
The Steak Wrap was not good ..
I thought it would be strips of steak and the fried avocado was not good ☹️
The waitress seemed like it was an inconvenience to wait on us... she seemed like it was a bother ..
Great place to watch games. Tons of TVs, including personal ones in each booth. Went here to watch the NCAA Basketball games and it was great because there's so many TVs to show all the different games. The food was good but seemed a bit overpriced.
The food is average, at best. Honestly, we were sorely disappointed by the beer & menu selections. When a restaurant only offers a dozen items, you expect them all to be excellent and available. The Animal Fries were soggy & bland. The Garlic Wings weren’t even up to Zaxby’s/Hooters standards, if that tells you anything. The beer I chose was unavailable & the one I settled on was a full inch shy of a full pour.
Excellent place to go before United Center Events. Very fast service!
Love their pulled pork nachos!!!! It’s our go to before Bulls or Blackhawks games!
Great atmosphere , many Hawk fans . Love the vast beer selections. Would have given 5 stars, but the food menu was standard bar fare. Try adding some unique offerings. Food was good. Great that they take reservations. Highly recommend.
My husband did not even get to eat! His meal was completely messed up and by the time they delivered the meal, we had to leave. Will never come here again.
The food and staff were friendly and the vibe was fun!
Great place to catch the UFC fights. Really like that they allow for early reservations for fight nights to guarantee a spot.
Seated promptly (we had a reservation at a busy time). Food was good. Prices are reasonable. Fairly loud- had to lean in & talk loud for my wife to hear me.
Good food with decent service. Fun place to go before a game/event at the United Center!
Stopped in for dinner before taking our boys to their first Bulls game. Fantastic guacamole! Great food and drink all around.
Went before a hawks game. Online they say they can do gluten free but server said only the salads are. The issue with service was not that they couldn’t do gluten free it was the fact that the server kept telling us “I don’t know” “I Think” when asking about gluten free options. If it could not be done through the iPad the server just said “I don’t think it can be done” without asking any manager or chef. If you don’t have an allergy, this place is awesome. Great food and energetic crowd but if you do, don’t expect the servers to be of any help.
Went here before a Blackhawks game and it was perfect! Easy walk to the stadium. The place was packed so I would definitely recommend making reservations. Food was great for a sports bar & the atmosphere was very fun. Will definitely come back before a trip to United Center.
My friend and I chose this place because of it's close proximity to the United Center. We arrived at 6:15 and there were lots of choices of seats and got a booth right at the front. We both ordered chicken fingers and although a little well done were plentiful and yummy. I only rated them 3 stars since the fries were a little soggy. Great spot for a pre-game casual meal.
The best steak wrap I have ever had! Would definitely go back.
We arrived a little earlier than our reservation but got seated immediately. We decided to eat in the bar area and had a great server and the people around us all seemed very friendly. I will definitely get back to this restaurant. The food was incredible and very hard to decide. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu!!
We went to The Ogden before a Blackhawks game. Overall we had a nice time, and the food was good, but what was disappointing is we had asked the hostess if they could recognize our friend's 22nd wedding anniversary, and she said she would check and then NOTHING happened. Not even a follow-up and when I went to ask her about it she was really too busy on her phone to be bothered. Disappointing.
Great food and valet was great for us since we went to the Blackhawks game. Will go back every time we head to the United center
My friends and I went here after a Blackhawks game and had a great time. The place was packed but we got seated right on time. Our server was fantastic. For as crowded as it was, we were never waiting long for food or drinks. Food is very good and they have a nice selection of beer and cocktails. Definitely plan to go back again!
We decided to go to the Ogden because it is advertised as the closest sports bar to the United Center. It was an hour and half before the Blackhawks game so the place was crowded. We had a reservation and got our table right on time. It took a little while to get our first drink order and they ran out of the three beers I wanted but I decided on another . We ordered an appetizer which came fairly quickly. At that time we put our lunch order in and another round of drinks. The drinks arrived in a timely fashion. After a while, our server came around again to see if we needed more drinks. We got another round but no mention of our food. Finally, someone brought one plate to the table , dropped it off but made no comment about the rest of our food. Our family shares our meals so we all dug in and enjoyed the one plate. We kept thinking that the rest would show up soon. Our server walked past us several times and didn't say anything. It was now 1:25 and we were anxious to get to the 2pm game. We flagged our server down who merely looked at us and said I am getting the manager. He apologized for the mix up, offered us a free round and guaranteed we would get our food and still make it to the game on time. He was very nice about it. I was not impressed with our server who never apologized or really seemed to care. When the food came my salad lacked the raspberries because they ran out. But it was tasty anyway. Everyone took a few bites asked for leftover containers, got our bill, which the manager gave us a discount on, and we ran out the door! Fortunately our car was parked in a space on the way to the game so we could put them in there. After a brisk walk to the stadium, I was actually jogging to keep up, we made it to our seats for the National Anthem. Hawks won! Live is good. Would I go back? Yes, I would give the place another try.
There are much better options if you're looking for somewhere around the United Center. I'm honestly not sure what is worse, The Ogden's service or its food. Not only is the service slow, but the waitstaff is also rude and couldn't care less about doing their job. We waited over an hour for our food and by the time we got it, the bar was empty because everyone else had gone to the game. Do not waste your time or money here.
This perfect place for pre-game before going to the United Center. Post game was good also. The Uber dropoff before and pickup after was smooth and quick. Food was good and plenty of big screens for other sports.
Really appreciate them accommodating a change to my party size the day of our reservation. Great food. Great location.
So nice of you are going to United Center. Valet was easy and affordable. We were in our way home before most people were out of UC parking lot.
Food was good. Traditional bar food - served its purpose well.
Service great. I had some questions and emailed and had an immediate response. We were seated immediately, but, we had reservations.
Noise was loud, but we knew we were going to a bar so it was fine. We had no problems talking to each other.
It's a Sports Bar so of course it's noisy....but then we went to see Cher which was noisier....the food, drinks and service were all great...and the valet parking was the icing on the cake....Thanks!
The atmosphere and food is very good. It is a convenient location for UC events. Take advantage of the valet too!
Fun time for family and friends. Especially to watch sports.
This being our 3rd Superbowl at ogden we really were looking forward to it. The buffet was cut in half from the previous year. They ran out 8f 1 of the 3 beers offered 4mins into the 1st quarter and also didnt offer what the website add had posted. Quality of food is always good but the service is horrible and it wasnt very busy at all and we had a large group. Will not be on the top of our game day list anymore.
Nice bar and grill. Good food. Nice atmosphere. Very good service.
For anyone in Chicago in the winter, the weather can play games with well laid out plans. Friday night we had plans to sit at the Ogden before the Bulls game. Well mother nature didn't play out well. We missed our reservation but our guests didn't. They were sat, served and fed well all by The Ogden. I appreciate a restaurant/bar who doesn't insist on waiting for the whole party and are flexible. Our guests loved it for the pre-game, we headed back for post-game. More food/drinks, amazing service. This is one to keep on redial.
Went to The Ogden before an early Blackhawks game. They opened at 8am that day for a special brunch, which included a bottomless buffet and bottomless champagne, mimosas, Bud Light drafts, or well drinks. It was, with tax and tip, around $37 per person which was a great value considering we were there for just over 2 hours. It's a very short walk from the restaurant to the United Center, which was great considering the very low temperatures outside. Would definitely do it again!
Great time before the Bulls game! We would have liked to see some vegan options. Other than that, really nice!
Waited 50 minutes for food and then only half the order was right. Was on way to Hawks game so there was no time to get order right.
