Great place to go before a Blackhawks game
Dining at The Ogden before attending the Chicago Blackhawks game was perfect. I will definitely do it again.
Wonderful service and good food.
Unfortunately we did not have a good experience. We had 3 different servers in a 90 minute meal due to shift changes. Our order was not written down and 2 of 6 meals were wrong, and one was wrong the 2nd time it came. One positive is that they did not charge us for the wrong meals without an argument and our third server was great. Will not return as there are plenty of other pregame options in the area.
Great for sporting events. Food was amazing. Service was kinda slow
Great food and service, server always checked on us
Dinner and bulls game with my daughter
Meeting friends prior to a hockey game.
It was a quiet night at the Ogden. I arrived from out or town with my sister in a wheelchair to dine and wait for my nieces at a nearby event. They opened one of the lounging areas by the fireplace for us. which had been closed. The waitress was almost too attentive. Their cheese burger was fantastic. They have a wonderful cocktail menu with a variety of mules which I found impressive. They made what could have been a long uncomfortabe wait, a very enjoyable evening. Thank you
Every thing was very good just wished my wings came before the main entree
I bring my family of 3 once a year to a Hawks game and eat at your place.. valet park too..last 2 years we have been stuck in the back 3 top by the kitchen ....poor lighting, noisy, hard to talk, busy traffic ...terrible table....next year will bring 4 and sit at a booth!
I love the Arden I always go there before a Bulls game beautiful ladies amazing service
Delicious food as always. Felt a bit ignored after it started getting crowded. Had to track down our server for carryout container and our check.
It would have been fine that they were out of their well whiskey if they offered a different whiskey for the same price, but they did not. If you’re out of stock on something that basic, you should really be more accommodating. They were also out of a beer I ordered, which wouldn’t have been too bad if they weren’t already out of the whiskey. Food was just okay. Everything was over priced.
One of the servers was blocking the only way out of the restroom and refused to allow my son to pass. Later, he flipped my son off. I found out about this after the dinner.
Don’t waste your time booking an OpenTable reservation as they don’t honor them. Our party of 2 was forced to sit in chairs very far from each other despite there being multiple open tables. Our reservation was at 6, however we were told the other tables were being held for 6:30 reservations (also parties of 2). We asked why those reservations would have priority over ours, & weren’t given an answer. We were told a manager would come over & assist us, which never happened. Then as we were about done with our meal & about ready to leave, we were at that time offered to switch seats. All in all, the foods fine but not worth the subpar service experience.
Excellent sports bar. Good service, good food. Exuberant environment. Very enjoyable.
Pre-hockey game dinner and drinks. Great place!
We dined here before a concert at the United Center. It was a great location—within walking distance. Menu was small but had good options. Don’t get the chips and guacamole. The guacamole is the smallest portion I’ve ever seen—comparable to the size of a side of ranch. Just get the nachos for a dollar more. Delicious. Drinks were good as well.
Great pregame sports bar if going to the UC
Great service, good food food and a great place to meet before and after United Center events as it's only 2 blocks away!
Went here before a bulls game. Service was incredibly slow. All we wanted was a burger and a few beers.
4 of us went to The Ogden for dinner prior to a concert at the United Center. I recommend making reservations, if possible. We were seated right away even though we were a little early for our reservation. Each of us ordered something different and it all was very good. Fast and good service as well, I say give yourself maybe an hour 1/2 prior to you wanting to leave. Great place!
It was perfectly lovely except we didn’t know it would be so noisy
Mid day lunch for 16...server was great, attentive, and food was really good. Very generous portions. We will be back!!
The pulled pork mini's were tasty. We had no problem with the reservation process. It got very crowded and noisy. . .but it was a Blackhawks game night so that was to be expected.
Dinner then a concert
We ate here ahead of a Blackhawks game and the place was very lively! Definitely make a reservation if you're going on a game or event day as the venue gets PACKED given it's proximity to the stadium and it's reputation as a Hawks and Bulls bar. The food was mediocre at best - stay away from the flatbreads as they were bland and tasted like they were built on a pita bread crust. The nachos were good and thankfully we had those to rely on! Drinks were great and the waitress replenished them often. Definitely recommend for a drink before or after the game to soak up the atmosphere but wouldn't recommend the food.
Very convenient for meeting up before game. Appreciated the valet parking. Was not informed that it started at 4 pm. Friends arrived early to watch college football and were not able to park.
The margarita I ordered was awful. I sent it back once because it was served without salted rim. It is part of the description on the menu. When I got it served again, it was the same glass with salt thrown on the side. And the taste of the drink was not acceptable. Due to everyone else about done with their drinks at our table by this point, I was not able to get a new drink from the waitress as we could not find her for awhile.
For our first time here before a Hawks game, we thought we would try it out. Although we had a reservation, we were seated in the middle of 3 2-top tables, just outside the door of the kitchen. We wondered if the other more favorable tables were open for walk-ins. If so, not a good move for folks who made prior reservations. The couple next to us once seated, requested a move after 2 minutes being there. Same perspective we're sure.
The food was very tasty. The only problem was, it was cold where the cheese on our sandwiches were hard. The fries were luke warm at best. When asked to take it back to re-heat, they could not do it as I already started eating it. While I understand that rule maybe for health dept reasons, somehow they could have made amends for this, other than a "can't do". Were willing to give them one more try as they are very close to the UC, thus quite convenient for parking.
Fun place to go before concert. Food was great but it was really loud in there.
The valet parking has some personal work to do with themselves. I asked a question to the attendant and I gestures with my finger for his attention toon and I was told that it was rude of me to gesture with my finger. How else do I get his attention while e sitting in the car...? Over all I like the Ogden a lot!!!!
We have been going to The Ogden for their Sunday Brunch for a couple of years. We have a great time. The service is great, the set up of the brunch is great! The only thing that would make this place 100% great would to be to play music during commercials and half-times. This would be much better than the commercials or just normal bar noise. The experience would truly be enhanced. Other bars do this and it’s really a plus!
This place is my go to restaurant before events at United Center
Love the location! Service was slow but we did have a larger party so maybe that was why. Otherwise, good time.
It was a very average bar experience. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about. Two orders out of our four were messed up, but they did fix the corrections in a timely fashion.
Perfect pre-game spot. We had a group of 8, aged 13 to 72 and we all loved it.
Disappointed they no longer have their guac, and there's not much there on draft from local breweries any longer. This visit the server was pretty unattentive, and we never hear Chelsea Dagger...not once, and it was before a game. But, the food was good.
Maybe just preseason...a little disappointing but will go again.
