This was our first time to visit and all levels met expectations from website. At first glance, seems pricey but well worth the portions and quality of food. Our party had a fish dish, lasagna, other pasta and steak dish -all exceptional. We appreciated the knowledge of the waitress in selecting from their wines. We also appreciated the level of service, prompt and friendly! We went early around time of opening and appeared to get busy very quickly -recommend reservations. We will be repeat customers!

Our family of four had Calamari, Shrimp cocktail, lobster bisque, Cesar Salad Tenderloin, Grouper. All of it was simply amazing. One of our favorite restaurants for ambience, food, and service. General Manager Will makes everyone feel like your eating at his home

They could not accept a gift card I was given as a gift because their system was down. The waiter waited for everything in his section to be ready to bring out. However, we were first in his section and 2 other tables were taken care of at the same time as us. I am guessing if I should go back.

Wife and I had a delightful anniversary dinner. Good food, wife had the CAPESANTONE AL SAFERANO and I had the ROMBO AL GRANCHIO. She really enjoyed the scallops and pasta dish and the halibut is one of my favorites. Excellent service and wonderful atmosphere, highly recommended.

Love the decor and atmosphere here. Service was top notch. Noise level was a pleasant surprise. There are many restaurants in Rockwall that are so loud we don't frequent them any longer. We don't mind some energetic chatter, but when you have to shout for the person at your table to hear, it makes for a very uncomfortable dinner. The menu has some great choices. Our group had lobster bisque, a fancy salad, veal, and halibut. Everything was delicious but, the halibut was a bit overcooked and dry. All in all, very pleased and we will be back for sure.

The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed what they ate. The only thing we had a problem with was it seemed like it took our waitress longer than it should to check on us or complete tasks. I don’t know how many tables she had but it didn’t seem that busy. Thankfully everything we ordered was amazing. Also the bartender made a amazing mock tail for us to celebrate my mom’s birthday that wasn’t on the menu.

The was our first time at Oar house and we have to say, this was an amazing time. Robert was our server and he did a fantastic job explaining the menu, providing us stellar service and even telling us a little about the restaurant. But that wasn’t all. The whole staff was fantastic as they always took care of our table and never left us unattended. Food was amazing and worth the price tag. Definitely coming back again and hope you all will pay them a visit.

This was a great place for a first date for two of us in our 20’s known to be “old souls.” My family has been coming here for years, and from outside of the Oar House, has made friends with the main chef. The food is always incredible and the atmosphere is very pleasant. A very nice place to go for dinner and conversation.

It was a nice place- would have been noisy but there were only a few other people so it was very quiet and private. Food was ok. Really expected better for the price - nothing special. The service was fine but not especially attentive. Overall a nice place and evening but probably not my first choice for another special dinner.
