Country pub. Sunday lunch was a limited menu of primarily roasts. Large if a little over excessive portion sizes. Potatoes could have been crispy and no crackling with the pork and had to ask specially for apple sauce. Veg nicely cooked al dente and meat portions very generous. Friendly staff. A no frills classic Sunday roast.

Looks like the pub has new owners, as it was much quieter than when we had been there previously. The starters took an age to arrive, but when they did they were good. The main meal was disappointing, with the beef on two of the four meals tough and under cooked. The manager explained that they had a new chef and reduced the drinks bill (removed the cost of a bottle of wine and some of the beers) and removed one of the mains from the bill. Overall a disappointing experience, as we expected the high level of food and ambience experienced previously.

Looks like a nice pub from the pictures but the food was not better than adequate for not cheap prices. The egg on top of the gammon had obviously been kept warm for a while and was set hard and there were only a few chips! Why would you scrimp on such a cheap item? The burger rolls were dry and the burgers were okay but not good. The staff were pleasant enough but I would expect much higher quality food for the price. Had better in roadside cafes! We went there because they allow dogs but would never go again!

Mid week meal with husband. Nice looking but fairly limited menu..and they didn't have 4 main items on it! (Lamb, fish cakes, gammon, steak and kidney pie). So not much else to choose from. Food tasty and service good. But need to sort food ordering out! Kitchen had been closed for 2 days before (planned) so no excuses really.

Great place, we go often with our children and dog, however they had run out of various options on the menu, this has happened on previous occasions too. Very family friendly.

We visited on a Friday for lunch. Very friendly warm reception from the staff. Menu is great with plenty of variety but most pub classics covered. Food was served quickly, decent portion sizes and all tasted great. We had a lovely time and will definitely return.

We held a private reunion in the pub with karaoke later. The staff were great and the whole event a tremendous success; Good pub food. Great service. Will definitely go again.
