   So much better than our many previous visits! Menu finally changes, it seems. The Lobster Halibut special was fantastic! The halibut piece was perfectly sized, and thick, simply prepared, just a bit overcooked. Next time we come , I think that we will bring our own seat pads to put on the dining chairs, in order to raise ourselves to the table height. It's because the filling in the chairs is not firm, so you sink into a soft comfortable chair that's too low for the table. We have been dining here since the first day they opened, and I can finally say..."WE'LL BE BACK SOON"! NICE JOB, CHEF!

   Experienced a wonderful cocktail hour and dinner at The Oaks Club & Cedar Bar. The setting is is small and quaint with a great view of the river below. The almond crusted grouper was A+ while my date chose three items from the starter menu. Luckily she shared and I especially enjoyed the goat cheese item. Everything was superb. Our server was professional and very friendly. The prices were more than reasonable for the high quality. Our first time but we will return the next time travel brings us to the Golden Isles.

   We drive between Florida and Massachusetts twice a year. We love our stop at Oaks on the River. It’s a beautiful hotel with a fantastic restaurant. Last night I had the Brussels sprouts and filet mignon. The Brussel sprouts were among the best I’ve ever had and the fillet was perfectly done to medium rare as i requested. My husband had Caesar salad with homemade Caesar dressing. Homemade Caesar dressing is so much better than dressing from a jar. His filet was perfectly done to medium, per his request. The prices were more than 25% lower than we usually pay for the same meal. Looking forward to our return trip in November!

   Found the brunch selections minimal for the price paid. Service was very slow-needed training. Buffet serving pieces unwieldy-top there was no where to place, and hold plate Items needed more identifiers. Prime rib was overdone Coffee warm at best

   This is our second time to celebrate a special occasion at Oaks at the River. We are very pleased and happy with our dining experience. Excellent service; the servers were polite and attentive to our needs. Ambience is lovely and inviting; decorations were appropriate for the occasion. Food is good and delicious; fresh shrimps; delicious blue crab salad; freshly prepared omelet cooked upon request. Desserts were delightful. Oh yes the drinks! Love their mimosas; it has just the perfect kick to it. Overall, we had a wonderful Easter brunch! Would definitely return.

   My husband and I enjoyed a date night here on April 18. It was our first visit. The food, the service, the atmosphere, the VIEW - absolutely amazing!! Best meal we have had in a very long time. We ordered goat cheese balls and pot stickers for apps, they were both delicious! Salads were perfectly fresh. We both ordered filets, his with shrimp and mine with mushrooms. Wow. Everything came out cooked to perfection. We cleaned our plates and cant wait to go back!! We recently ate at a popular, upscale restaurant on SSI, and the quality of food there did not compare to the Oaks - by far. Five stars and beyond, on every level for the Oaks!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
