Very relaxing restaurant. A little pricey, but the experience made it all worth it.
The quality of the food is fair.
I asked for hot tea as beverage , it came on a coffee mug , with hot water ,
I expected a tea pod or a place to put the tea bag.
The place does not look well kept, years ago was much nicer.
Lovely outdoor setting among the oaks and near the lake. Lots of geese. Good service and food.
Delicious, relaxing and a beautiful setting. Excellent service.
Good food, drinks and service in a lovely spot next to a small lake. Recommend.
Food was ok, nothing to write home about. The chocolate cake and mimosas kinda saved it for us. Make sure to wear closed shoes when sitting outside. It's dirt, not sand and will dirty your feet shoes pants etc.
Our Sunday Brunch with Classic Eggs Benedict was delicious. Love the ambiance so near the lake. A wonderful location for a special occasion.
We've eaten here before since the change in ownership/management, but last night we went with another couple and definitely enjoyed the spacing between tables which allowed us to have easy conversation, the "duck show" which never fails to delight (so where do they disappear to once the sun sets? Do they have a Lakeside Home for Ducks that we don't know about??? The food was delicious, the portions were generous. For the second time I split the ahi poke tower and just loved it. It's quite filling and I can see that someone with a light appetite could consider it for their "main." My husband had the shrimp spaghetti plate with huge grilled shrimp; I had the linquine with littleneck clams with a large quantity of clams and delicious clam broth. We finished with the trip of sorbets - this was the only slight disappointment because our server either didn't pick up the dish as soon as it was scooped out, or he did some drop-offs on the way to us (we were at a table farthest from the main building) because our sorbets were semi-melted when we got them - but they were yummy as always (3rd time is a charm).
We love lakeside
Nice place to have a meal or drink. Recommend eating outside which is covered, comfortable, and has a view of the lake. Brunch options we sampled (eggs Benedict, spinach and mushroom omelette, hangover omelette) were all solid, all good but nothing that stood out. Portions are normal. If you’re hungry, I would recommend an appetizer. Service was good until the end when it came to pay. Parking options are a small valet lot they have or 2hr metered parking on the side street. I parked a block away for free which has no time restrictions on weekends.
I would come here again especially for the cozy atmosphere.
Nice little date spot
Lovely atmosphere outside. Super nice service. My only "complaint," though not quite a complaint, is that there was a very limited lunch menu and quite expensive. I understand restaurants are attempting to get back on their feet and will go back again, but without the sticker shock.
The dinner was perfect 👍 and the service as well . Thank you
This was a lovely lunch as the atmosphere outside is very peaceful and close to nature. Service was great but I'm sorry to say the food wasn't as good as when it was Lakeside Cafe - just didn't have same flavor and presentation
First visit, the ambiance was great. The service good, the food mediocre at best.
I would go back for a drink, but would not eat there again.
I would only recommend this restaurant for drinks.
All good and pleasant atmosphere
Great location. Food was good, but way overpriced. Even the cost of valet parking was much higher than anything comparable in that area.
The place was awesome!
Nice place to sit outside. Limited menu. Good service.
Menu was pretty limited. I had a BLT and I liked it. Sat outside and there was a breeze and umbrellas and attentive service. I would definitely go back. I know there’s a lot of Organizational and kitchen issues for most restaurants to work through. Wishing them the best.
Wait staff is always new, confused. Orders are always wrong (I’ve given this place 5-6 tries). Food is sub par, drinks are not bad. The seating arrangements by the ducks need to be reconsidered, all the tables/chairs are unsteady.
Food was so-so; nothing very exciting, except maybe the cauliflower. Service was good.
Waiter was excellent
The food here is mediocre at best, but the garden / lakeside seating is fabulous, and catching up with friends after a long absence was well worth coming here. Service was very good, and friendly. Beautiful setting. Food just decent.
My first trip back since new ownership, very disappointed in the lackluster menu, no creativity at all.
This is a shell of its former self.
Valet $8! Won't do that, either.
What a shame, with such a great location
Great food and service. Awesome location! Perfect Brunch spot!
Horrible service runied our sunday brunch!!! The server brought sugars for coffee that was opened and also used straws. We asked for coffee refill for 2 and they brought a cup of coffee and put it on the table and left.We asked for utensils several times and they did not bring it so we had to go get it from inside. They did not bring the toast we ordered and we had to go get it ourself. We asked the guy who brought our plates ( not our main server) for missing items from orders and he gave us attitude and walked away saying stuff and never brought the items.
Than you for making our reunion special. We met the next day after a funeral.
I've been here twice. Both times the food was ok. This last time one of my family members wasn't feeling well after eating their food.. there were a ton of flies indoors and a dead one on a bag we were given to take our leftovers home. It's such a beautiful restaurant and has so much potential.
It was great except that it seemed that there were not enough servers... Which I understand is a problem everywhere. We had a great evening and very good food.
We had not been to this restaurant since it was newly acquired by another owner and were met with disappointment. My husband and I received our starter salad while they brought my father-in-law his entrée and then they brought our entrées immediately after we had barely started eating our starter salad. They had to take the food back and keep it warm and bring it back later. The food quality was mediocre and although our server was very sweet she seemed challenged in her role. The menu had fewer choices than the previous restaurant had.
Excellent vegan choices to easily satisfy a group with a bunch of food issues.
Tables are all moved outside, and well spaced. Good shade, good food, lake and park views in a COVID-safe environment.
A wonderful setting by the lake. The server was attentive and very pleasant. The food was quite good, although the menu is somewhat limited — possibly still an outgrowth of the pandemic. The only true negative is the extremely limited parking.
Very nice outside seating next to the lake. The truth is that lake is tiny and filthy, but still feels like you are next to the water.
Service is extremely slow. We waited for our server forever, and after we got our food, he never came to check on us. I think he was also a barmen, which explains it, but I don't need to worry about that.
The food was meh. Very expensive and not tasty. My veal piccata was a real chewing gum, just chew it and spit up, couldn't swallow. Mushed potato tasted old and hard. Everything was 4 out 10. For the price, I would expect and exceptional food. Not going back.
Great service, but the kitchen needs major improvement. Ordered a salad, without bacon; came out with bacon. Sent it back. While waiting for the corrected salad, main courses came. Canceled salad. Asked for hamburger medium, came out nuked, sow dell done. Too bad! The place is lovely. Used to be called Lakeside, sitting next to a large duck pond, with great outdoor seating. Hope it gets its act together, Will give it another try in six months or so.
I use to dine in here before a pandemic and it is super but then it changed a lot.
There’s a lot of flies everywhere even in our food.
The seafood medley it’s OK except that the oil is floating. I can tell that because I make it at home.
I’m saying all these things because I like your restaurant. This is a way of improvement please find ways to distract flies through candles or insect electric lamp killer.
I know it’s in evitable because of the ducks at the lake but at least protect the health of your customers.
Flies are a carrier of diseases.
Maddie is great! Loved her and would definitely request her for next time. Food and drinks are great. Really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s very relaxing. Wonderful brunch spot.
It was 105 degrees the morning we came and we had made reservations requesting for a table under shade. When we were seated, the restaurant was half empty and we were seated at a table with half in the sunlight. We asked our server if we can switch to one of the nearby tables fully under shade, and she said that she would ask if we can move, but we were seated at that table because of “other’s reservations and our guests are strategically placed where they are.”
Anyways, we go through with brunch and when we left the restaurant remained half empty and the other tables were never filled by the time we left.
Our waitress was short when speaking with us and would reach over guests to grab things. Bussers and hosts were polite though.
When receiving the bill, we were given a pen with no ink and nobody responded to my calls.
The food was decent enough and the scenery was adequate. Price point wasn’t too high.
I wouldn’t recommend this location for any celebrations, but it’s an ok spot for a quiet and hot brunch.
The ambiance and views are stunning - that’s basically the only thing this restaurant has. The dirt outside could be improved so everyone’s shoes doesn’t get dusty. The service was lacking and the food was mediocre. The alcoholic drinks are strong. Overall, we were not too happy with our service as our server was gone for a long time.
