   VERY disappointed in the Derby menu. My salmon had been frozen...stunning. taste was ok. Food choices on Oaks menu were few and the portions small. $85 for Oaks menu is fine, quality and quantity were ridiculous. The waiter couldn't identify the vegetable on our plate and they only had three entrees (it was a potato dish).

   Possibly the worst dining experience we have ever had. We were there for Derby weekend and as soon as we sat down a waiter appeared hurriedly asking what we wanted to eat. Keep in mind this is a fine dining restaurant no beverage of any sort offered. After having to ask for a wine and cocktail list we made our choices. We sat there for an hour before our appetizers came. Bread was offered to other tables but not ours. Appetizer was lousy and cold. We then waited for 45 mins to receive our entree that was makeshift and small portion. The best part about this meal was the premade desserts. After a very disappointing experience we asked for the bill. The waiter then came back saying he needed to add the gratuity to it because he had forgot. This was the only time I saw him move so fast. I will never go back there. Seeing as this is in a very historic beautiful hotel I was sadly disappointed. Oakroom you need some definite work. There’s a reason on the busiest weekend of the year you were only about 35% full.
