   Extremely disappointing visit to this place. The food is no better than what you can source from a vendor in the park. Pre packed frozen junk food, everything deep fried to death. What a shame. Staff were lovely though!

   Been many times to oakfield, today was a last minute booking arrived at 2.50 table booked for 3pm waited a while to be seen he did apologise for wait sat down waited again for some to take drinks order , again waited , young lad took food order again we waited a while , we have been there wen it’s been busier and the service has been quicker . Food was good , we had roast dinners, ordered dessert and again waited a while I asked waiter to see where they were , by now it was quiet in there . They did apologise but it did spoil the afternoon.

   Excellent food, very relaxed atmosphere on a busy Zoo day. Attentive staff and a wide choice of spirits at the bar. Spotless toilet facilities. A very enjoyable experience to celebrate a landmark birthday.

   We eat here whenever we visit the zoo and the food is always lovely However today was exceptional The wild garlic soup was beautiful - we both had this and thought it was lovely along with the bread which was soooo nice Then we had both ordered the Cumberland sausage and mash - omg this was something else. It looked fantastic and tasted even better The sausage was very tasty, the mash and cabbage were beautiful and the gravy was delicious then the little crisy onions on top just finished it off perfectly Would highly recommend eating here we have never had a bad meal If you visit on a Sunday their Sunday lunch is one of the nicest I’ve ever had

   Came here after checking the menu online but after we arrived, we were given a different menu which was quite surprising as the things we wanted to have wasnt there on the presented menu.

   Very pleasant venue in the gardens of the zoo. Staff were polite and attentive. The menus were extensive to suit all tastes and budgets. The roast dinners were excellent with plenty of meat and vegetables.
