We booked because we were due to be at the zoo already and very few places did afternoon tea on a Monday. However the food and staff exceeded expectation and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and they even accommodated unexpected last minute dietary requirements. Thoroughly recommended.

Sadly the experience was marred by the fact that our table was situated next to a table where a young child screamed and cried the whole time. The conservatory style room didn’t help the acoustics and this truely spoilt our enjoyment of the meal. I chose the pub/restaurant dinning as the best option at the zoo for an adult celebration. The food was good and the service was polite. There were delays due to the place being busy, but this wasn’t a problem for us. Sadly it can be other customers who can influence our experience most.

Exceptional service in terms of friendliness and the quickness of food and drink delivery. Lovely surroundings and very good food.

Absolutely amazing from start to finish and the food was delicious. Probably one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever had and for my 2 kids to eat all theirs too (which never happens) just goes to show! The kids thought it was amazing too! Can’t fault anything.

Food was great and feel is lovely for a special treat, unfortunately service was very slow. Staff all very nice but for a lunch we were there nearly 2 hrs, took 30 mins for starter then another long wait for mains. No explanation for delays and when you’re at zoo for the day only don’t really want to spending that much time there. Shame as it is a lovely place!

There were no members of staff anywhere on arrival. Waited for 15 minutes for someone to appear. Food was cold and atrocious. We weren’t asked how the meal was at any point. We weren’t asked if we wanted to tip as I’m assuming they knew how bad it was. Sort of ruined the birthday!
