While the service was good, the food here was lousy and over-priced. Candidly, not only are there better restaurants in Hot Springs, there are better restaurants right on the premises at Oaklawn than this establishment. I recommend that you avoid it until it improves. It is the one disappointment I have had a Oaklawn at an otherwise very-well run resort.

The only good thing was our mushroom risotto. The steaks were very low quality and the sauces were very heavy on the wedge salad and the cauliflower which made no sense. The value was not good for what we got and it just wasn't up to our expectations. We were told for anniversaries we would get a free dessert from the front desk but no one even asked any questions during our dining experience about our anniversary or offered a dessert.

Lovely, dining experience you would never know you were in a casino! The food was excellent, we had the trout, wedge salad with fried crayfish and a giant baked potato! The drink selection was unlimited with a variety of specialty drinks. If you are in a hurry, I would not recommend , dining here is to enjoy the food

Recommended for special occasions or for a nice place chat...the food was excellent and the service was unobtrusive and informative (exactly the way I prefer it). A bit pricey but the overall ambience and quality of presentation somewhat justifies the cost (and it is of course upscale dining).

First time and we were lucky to have Heather. Heather answered all our questions about the menu and spices. The ahi tuna wraps, cauliflower and wedge salad was awesome. My only negative is that it was dark. Hard to see our menu and food.

Lovely place and great service. Had the shrimp cocktail-4 shrimp $19 Had the black cod, 4 bites, $51….. The food was good just wasn’t enough of it. If I went back would just do the happy hour.

Everything was fantastic from the time I walked into the restaurant until I left. I told them I had a reservation and after that I was greeted by name. My server, Hannah was absolutely excellent and made several recommendations. The manager, Peter, stopped by my table to see how everything was. The crusted trout and the bananas foster bread pudding were absolutely delicious. I will definitely return.

The gumbo is so so. I ordered the special Creole Jambalaya. It was good but the " very few" shrimp in it were badly overcooked and I mean tough. I had to cut one with a knife and it fought back. My wife ordered the rib which was very good but the cauliflower was raw. The service was excellent. Because of food issues I can't rate it higher than a four overall . We'll try it again.

Love our waitress Heather, she is always knowledgeable of everything, makes wonderful suggestions on the food and brings us out of our comfort zone of ordering the same thing. We don't regret getting what she suggests! Faith is always so sweet and friendly and welcoming us back with her sweet smile. The Manager, Peter, is great! Comes by to visit and ck to see if all is good! He helps the waiters deliver their orders and is always very kind! Food is great here and the staff appreciate their customers!

The staff was great, the waitress (Hannah) was outstanding and personable. The food was very good. The group table sitting close by was extremely loud, noisy to the point of being over the top. I would recommend to any of our friends - very nice change of pace.

This is my second time to dine at Oak Room. The menu selection is extensive and it offers more than steaks. The nightly specials sounded amazing though I opted for a ribeye off the menu which was terrific. I recommend this restaurant for its great food and it’s dark, quiet, romantic atmosphere.

We have been patrons of restaurant for some time now. To be honest, we hunted down our server Heather, who previously worked at The Bugler. As our guide on what to eat and drink, Heather knows what to recommend. The chef and cooks, produce food that is not only delicious but beautifully presented and generous proportions. Shout out to Faith, their hostess, who acknowledged us and commented she had missed seeing us.

Bar service was slow…… not the waiters fault. It was not packed and we had muse before drinks and appetizers came out moments after the drinks—- to give you an idea of the wait on drinks. We were in no hurry, but management might consider helping the one bar tender when she gets behind. She is only one person.

Food was great! Service was a bit slow, but not terrible. It took about an hour and 20 minutes from start to finish. Really delicious steaks and the cheesecake was amazing. FYI they charge for all sides, even steak sauce. Overall, great experience and we will definitely be back.

Server was helpful and attentive. A member of our party requested a dish be prepared to accommodate a food allergy and the chef did a wonderful job with the dish. The quiet surroundings allowed for easy conversation. We had a lovely evening and recommend the Oak Room for a fine dining experience.

Husband’s steak was a poor cut of meat, very fatty-way beyond good marbling, and was also extremely salty. The pasta dish I had looked beautiful but was tasteless. The truffle fries were good, as was their cheesecake! Our waiter was so nice and accommodating so cheers to Alan. Just wish the food had matched the high prices!

We had a fabulous experience at the Oak Room starting with the bar. We had cocktails and while we did, the bartender shared information about the menu and even went the extra step to ask the chef about our questions. Service at the bar was quick and the cocktails were delicious. We were seated right at our reservation time and had a quiet booth in a quiet part of the restaurant that felt very private and relaxing. My husband had the prime cap and a baked potato which he loved and I had the special - Jambalaya. it was loaded with perfectly cooked lobster, shrimp, mussels, chicken and andouille sausage over saffron rice. I didn't add any sides because it was a huge amount of food. Heather provided us perfect service - can't imagine what could have been better. We can't wait to come back.

Amazing anniversary dinner at the oak room. Hannah our server was incredible and helped guide us to just the right options for us. We will certainly go back to the oak room when in Hot Springs. Great value for the quality of the cuisine, service and wine selection.

We had a delicious dinner. The rib eye was great and cooked the way we wanted. The braised short ribs were delicious. The sauce was fantastic. You must try the brussel sprouts, out of this world! Heather, our waitress was very professional, knew the menu and did not hover!

Nice restaurant, good service. Food was pretty good but not top tier quality steakhouse. Filet was pretty good. My husband’s halibut special was over cooked and overpriced at $65. The other two in our group felt about the same about their entrees-pretty good not great. Mussels appetizers was probably the best part of our meal and the cocktails were nice.
