The NoMad Restaurant - LA
An inviting space for dining throughout the day and evening, The NoMad’s sunlit, casually-elegant restaurant and bar are on the ground floor of the hotel. It sits beneath the building’s original, 1920s blue and gold Italianate ceiling which has been meticulously restored to its full grandeur. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all served in the space, with the Giannini Bar connected for a pre- or post-meal drink.

Been wanting to try the restaurant after coming for drinks and loving the ambiance but the food is completely over priced for what you get. My scallops and rice dish tasted like something I would get at a chain restaurant, not a nicer dining experience. And despite making a reservation, we felt like we were shoved into a random corner of the downstairs restaurant area. Too many great restaurants in DTLA to come here again. Would rather go to our staples, Terroni or Le Petit Paris.
We brought 5 out of town associates to dinner device was very professional ad attentive without interrupting our conversation. Food was very god mean was very good
One of the best hidden gems in DTLA... love the art deco setting and the food is fabulous! Great cocktail menu to get you started.
Great room, fantastic service, and love the charred calamari and the roasted chicken.
This is my 3rd visit to LA Nomad and I've enjoyed it each time, very classy setting. The food is innovative and tasty.
Lovely room, good food, very comfortable noise level for easy conversation
Food was not impressive... at all, neither was service. French fries arrived before any drinks. The waitress never showed up after taking the order, we had to ask the the server pouring that water (a few times) about or drinks. The ceviche was very bland, kale salad was ok, calamari had too much spice, steak was ok and the chicken was way too salty.
Very limited but well curated menu. Two thumbs up.
loved everything about it except that out was freezing and the portion s could be bigger considering the price .
Fantastic food, service and ambiance.
Will definitely return.
The atmosphere is lovely, Service outstanding and the food delish! Try the chicken and rice.
The food and ambience were spectacular. However
We're here to celebrate birthday. But we don't even have a piece of cake. How awful!
Food was exceptional
Great NYE - what a wonderful night in a wonderful hotel. Food was outstanding.
The food was exceptional - probably the best I've ever had. The mixed drinks were strong and served its purpose. The ambience was spectacular as well. The only reason why "I would not recommend to a friend" was because it was extremely expensive and I would probably not go back because of that (but happy I tried it at least once).
Great location and historical aspect ! Pre fixe menu for Christmas OK thought it would be more seasonal.
Everything was incredible. Loved the food and the service.
Great Christmas prix fixe. Dessert was impeccable. Great wine selection and the truffle pasta lived up to expectations. Only issue was over salting with both the scallops and the cauliflower soup. But well worth the cost for the experience.
Great restaurant. We went there for Christmas dinner. Usually, restaurants have a hard time with holiday dinners. NoMad did not. Service was great. Food came out perfect. Except...the scallops. They were gritty, like sandy gritty, like not cleaned properly. This is a no-no for a restaurant of this caliber. Also, they charge 4% to your bill for health insurance for their employees. That's cheesy. This is a responsibility of the employer. Can you imagine going to a car wash or a store, or any other service industry and they had the same charge? They write on the menu that if you don't want to pay it, simply inform your server. Uh-huh. Yeah right. Who's going to do that? Other than that, it was good. I just gave the server 4% less on his tip.
Fun, celebratory atmosphere with great staff and tons of happy customers.
Great place for a holiday dinner with friends. Very festive!
Nomad is a perfect spot to get a great dining experience set amongst a beautiful architectural interior and a great crowd. The staff here are wonderful and the restaurant’s location means that you can always end your meal with a toast on the rooftop and take in the view.
Excellent service, every time. The food and wine selections are outstanding.
While the converted Bank has a wonderful ambiance, the service attentive, but also distracted, I was surprised by the prices and the meal portion (e.g., $20 for a burger the size of a slider). I think it would be better for drinks and apps - I think the others were pleased with their entrees, but everyone was reaching for the appetizer fries after their meal, so I'm thinking there's was a small portion as well, and the trip to the bathrooms are a just to see the old timer vault.
Perfect service and ambiance. Love the food and can’t beat those drinks. I live few blocks away so hangout here often and each time it has been a better experience
Unfortunately the service was extremely poor. Second time there will def not be going back.
The hostess was not very friendly. The server was great. Food is quite expensive and the portions are tiny. The drinks are amazing though and it is a very stylish venue. The seating is very awkward if you sit on the couches because it is lower than the actual dining chairs.
Food was good, dining area lighting was a bit too bright, good ambience, and service was shotty. Slow and never refilled my water glass.
I brought 5 of my girlfriends to The NoMad this last Saturday night for the first time. It was our annual girls holiday dinner. It was a fantastic experience. The food, service and ambience were great! I would highly recommend!
The food, ambiance, and service is terrific at this restaurant.
Birthday lunch - great!
Nomad restaurant is a great experience but extra special at Christmas!!!! Cozy, festive and delicious.
Superb! Ambiance, service, piped music, cocktails and food on point!
Beautiful restaurant and the Hanger steak was the best ever.
The room and the menu keep us coming back but, frankly, the service is always subpar-- long waits for menus and beverages despite the place being half empty for brunch. Dinner seems to be on a rotating service basis as we needed to flag people down to get refills and a dessert menu. Still, we always eat well at Nomad although we would love for you to bring back the Baked Alaska and the chicken for two with the fricassee.
Extremely overpriced for amount of food and quality. $40 corkage. Slow. Ridiculous health insurance surcharge. Just go for a cocktail and enjoy the ambiance.
