The NoMad Restaurant - LA
An inviting space for dining throughout the day and evening, The NoMad’s sunlit, casually-elegant restaurant and bar are on the ground floor of the hotel. It sits beneath the building’s original, 1920s blue and gold Italianate ceiling which has been meticulously restored to its full grandeur. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are all served in the space, with the Giannini Bar connected for a pre- or post-meal drink.

The decor is fabulous and the music was charming! Stellar experience overall
16$ burger was small. If a burger and a slider had a a baby it would be this. No fries on the side either. All you get for 16$ is a burger. Pass.
Beautiful restaurant, great food and awesome vibes. 10 for 10 would recommend
Outstanding food, beautiful location, great service
The hostess was lovely. But our waitress seemed confused, annoyed and unpolished, but nice. It was a drag to not be able to order a small ceasar. Only a large entree size. That's pretty basic. And the kitchen was not accomodating. We had to continuously ask for iced tea over and over again. Again, pretty basic. Perhaps a little light music playing in the background would be nice. Pretty dining room! Thanks.
went for breakfast and both service and food were poor. The best item on their menu is the pancakes. If I had to bet they were short people both in the dining room and kitchen.
Great service. Food was aesthetically pleasing as well as delicious.
lovely location, good service, very bad menu, needs to be updated, there was nothing any of our party really wanted to eat.
The fried chicken was removed from the menu! I was a bit disappointed, but the service was amazing. The ambience and restaurant is unlike anywhere else in LA. Wish the food was a bit better though! For the price, it was a little disappointing..
Birthday celebration service and food didn’t disappoint i will recommend to friends who attend the music Center to have dinner at Nomad
Ambiance is amazing- service was a little slow but this was due to servers goal to achieve excellence.
The menu is small but fabulous. Excellent food. The waiters weren't great about checking in and they seemed mentally "checked out," but not rude in any way. Worth a meal!
The food was very nice. However being located in the hotel lobby it has a nice vibe but more of a lobby bar than a restaurant
Beautiful interior. Delicious food. Central location in downtown
Best dish was the Nomad chicken. In general, the food was excellent. The lighting was so low, it was hard to see the food, not to mention the menus. The service was surprisingly slow and incomplete. Although my cousin and I were amongst the first to be seated, almost everyone in our area had orders taken before us. I had to wave my credit card in the air to get our bill, the table was never wiped, our water was never refilled. I suppose there were not enough servers for the number of tables, but in a first-class restaurant, I've seldom encountered this kind of non-attentive, slow service.
Great experience at NoMad - perfect lunch in a cool setting (old Bank of Italy building that’s been converted to a hotel / restaurant). Service was solid, food very good and a fun atmosphere. Recommend if you’re looking for something special in downtown LA.
Venue is beautiful. Food is always good. Service was incredible slow and when i was ready to order our server just walked away from us. She just set our wine glasses down and walked away.
It took forever for us to order and for us to get our wine...they should leave the bottle at our table if they’re short staffed.
Great food except for overdressed , soggy salad and radishes almost inedibly soaked in vinegar on main dish . But desserts delicious and steak and mashed potatoes to die for . Service super slow though
The Nomad is a lovely hotel. This restaurant is situated in the middle of the first floor. While lovely, the food was plain, the menu limited, the flavor missing and the vegetables notably out of season. The prices, for what was offered, were exorbitant and I don’t mind paying for good food. A two egg breakfast which consisted of two fried eggs, two plain pieces of toast (no butter or jelly), two slices of tomato, 3 slices of avocado and some leaves thrown on the plate without dressing was $30. In addition, the restaurant tacks on a 4 percent charge for “health insurance” for their employees.... a ploy to guilt patrons which inevitably comes out of the employees tip money. Anyone who had their head on straight would include their health care in the prices instead of adding this BS excuse to charge more. I am fairly certain the employees see a drop in their tips because it seems to be included already in the check. I would NOT recommend this restaurant.
This place is amazing , food quality was great, we had the squash Cavatelli, the Steak and the charred calamari all of them great, and to close our dinner we had the Honey and Milk dessert and the Mango bread pudding ,exquisitely done, cappuccino was also great, and the cocktails The Palomas well done. Love this place surrounded by historic building, this place used to be The Bank Of Italy.
I’ve been here several times. Food and drink are excellent though pricey. Service has generally been good but I had to ask a couple of times for iced tea I ordered with the original order and didn’t get it until I had finished eating my meal. Ambiance is lovely.
Fantastic menu. Beautiful restaurant and hotel. Great place overall. Definitely going back for more fun
Great building, with wonderful food. An outstanding dining experience! Very welcoming vibe without any pernicious attitude.
Was on a girls trip and decided to go to this place for a relaxing dinner. We had a busy day sightseeing LA and were looking forward on having a nice wholesome dinner but were not happy with the food.
They have the small and large plates concept.
I ordered a large plate of scallops with corn pudding and some veggies.
I got 3 small scallops on my plate with probably a teaspoon or little more of the corn pudding and some veggies . And just this costed $32 + tax. My friends had the same experience. We later went to another place as we were still hungry and enjoyed the meal there more.
Celebrated my birthday there with some friends. Started at the bar w a dirty martini using Mulhulland vodka ...amazing! And the bartender was so personable and was friendly, providing excellent service. My friends arrive and we sat down, starting with appetizers, then shared the scallops and chicken entrees. The chicken was the best I’ve ever tasted. We enjoyed the 1920’s Parisian ambiance and felt like we stepped back into another time and place. This is my new favorite place to come for drinks !
One Server for the entire dining area. She was rude and unattentive. Walked around with blinders on. Lunch took 90 minutes.... they must have one chef in the back.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful dining area.and also had an excellent Italian Wine.
Delicious food and cocktails. Portions are sensible.
Good food. Friendly service. Enjoyed sharing the large plates in our group. Chicken, duck especially. Creative cocktails. Menu isn't exotic, but solid. Something for everyone.
The kitchen was VERY backed up and they comped us an appetizer, but our food came out luke warm. Was a kind of pricey meal and it took 3 hours.
This past Saturday night the restaurant could not get the food out in a timely manner. We waited hours (yes hours) for our meal. The food when it did arrive was cold and not all delivered at the same time. The wait staff was trying so hard to deal with us when they clearly had no answers as to why there was no food forthcoming. We were a table for 2. The staff brought our some crudite and apologized. They even removed some items from the bill. Ive never before written a restaurant review but this was so unfortunate.
The NoMad is an LA version of NY. The service was great and the cocktails were yummy. Would definitely go back to get cocktails.
This was a wonderful first trip to Nomad. We started with a cocktail on the gorgeous rooftop bar, then came down for dinner. The food was elegant and wonderful, and the service was tops. The staff was attentive but not intrusive, and everything was just lovely. We will definitely be back.
Our first time there, loved the vibe and the food was great. The wine list is/was 150 pages long, it took a while trying to decide which wine to have that was not over $200 per bottle
It was very over priced. $62.00 for a chicken??? I t was very delicious but definitely not $62.00. Drinks were EXCELLENT!
This was our first visit to the restaurant/hotel before a show downtown. The renovated hotel looked great. Great decorating and theme. We had multiple people attending to us and everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks were great. My wife had a tropical bourbon drink that was quite the display. Our server recommended the heirloom / buratta salad and she was right. The pesto was a great add and was tasty. She had the branzino and I had the hangar steak. Cooked perfectly and great flavor on both. No room for dessert. We'll be back. Thanks.
Great food and cocktails, although a little on the pricier side. The hotel is so beautiful and will definitely go back.
I wish they kept the fantastic "Pastry Cart"!!!! That was so great!
My friend and I met for lunch at the Nomad. We enjoyed the historical setting and the preservation and beautiful decor. The food was okay. Truffle oil was a bit overpowering on two of our dishes but the fries were perfect. Our disappointment was with the tea service. Choices were not offered so we both opted for green tea. We were given Jasmine which was quite strong. I'm sure dinner at the Nomad would be much more impressive.
