A really great meal. The food was original, interesting and just generally fantastic. Easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in the local area. Also a very good wine list. Some dishes may appear small at first glance, but they all have little extra's that meant myself and my dining partner were happily full by the end.

The food at the Feathers was outstanding. I had the lamb three ways and my daughter had the salmon wellington. Both terrific. What was less than stellar was the children running around the hotel in circles, bustling past our table loudly yelling over their shoulders to the kids bringing up the rear. Then a hotel guest came wandering through the dining room in nothing but a towel. I understand it is a hotel but when you are paying for a nice meal out with your loved ones, the last thing you want is to feel like you're seated in the middle of a hotel lobby with all the chaos and noise that inspires.

The restaurant, staff and food were absolutely fabulous. I would highly recommend eating at this restaurant. We stayed in the hotel and it made a perfect end to our stay. Breakfast in the Next is also amazing. Well done to the management, chef and staff. We will definitely be coming back.

Lovely dining room and menu choices. Food took ages to appear and steak was lukewarm. Would describe service as efficient verging on officious, somewhat patronising. There was a trainee with the main waiter which was fine but the main waiter was loud, authoritative and created an obnoxious vibe in the calm dining room.
