Love this place!! Amazing food and awesome wine list! Don't miss out on this gem!
Tremendous food and atmosphere! The staff is on point and fun!!
Hands down, Telluride’s best! Killer food, amazing cocktails, great service with a super cool ambiance.
Fabulous dining experience from start to finish!
Soup (cashew cauliflower) was esp. good but the Salmon and Duck were perfect too. Skip the bread pudding though - too gluey.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Best restaurant we’ve been too so far in T’Ride.
First time dining at The National. Really enjoyed the meal!
Food was delicious as we tried a nice variety on Bill’s recommendations! Place was lively and very pretty inside. Perfect family outing on our last night of vacation! Will definitely come back next year...
One of the best dining experiences I have had in the past year. Don’t miss it!
Food was spectacular! Drinks were fabulous! We love David and Marin!!
The National never disappoints on any level!!
An excellent spot for dinner or drink in Telluride !!
We sat at the bar and had a great experience
Went for New Year's Eve.Menu was prix fixe ( a little o n the high side) but turned out to be the best meal I have had in a long time. It was worth every penny. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We had an absolutely wonderful meal there last night! Love the ambiance and they were totally able to accommodate and understand a gluten allergy! The beef tenderloin was delicious and my husband loved the duck! We will make a reservation there as soon as we boo our next trip to Telluride!!
Terrible waiter! But the rest of the experience was good. Great ambiance.
Excellent restaurant. Prefer a less pretentious menu with a few more traditional options
The service was perfect, the Duck was the best I have had in years.
The National is consistently splendid. Food and service are excellent.
We have been looking forward to trying this new addition to the fine dining Telluride scene. It was well worth the wait! Everything was fantastic.
Really beautiful restaurant with exceptional food and service.
Great place for an evening out with parents, group of friends, or significant others. The portions are small for the price but the food is delicious. The bread pudding is amazing.
Love the food - quite noisy and tables are close together so that is not the best part.
Well balanced menu with unique preparations. Great cocktails. Best Manhattan in Colorado. The service was outstanding and with the owners overlooking the restaurant everything runs like a top. The fish was perfect and deserts creative. This is a must when visiting telluride. I have visited the restaurant many times and have always had a great dining experience
Delish .... great service! Branzino and Margarita , YUM!
My husband and I were excited to try this place out on our ski trip to Telluride. Simple menu with some nice options. They seem to cater to everyone. Vegan options. Butternut Squash appetizer was the best thing we ordered. Followed by the homemade tagliatelle with clams. My only complaint the music it reminded me of what I would hear at a hotel lobby in South Beach Miami. The decor and ambiance are very warm. Rustic brick wall.
Food and service are always top notch. Highly recommended.
The entry stairs was crowded with people waiting to be seated. And this crowding of the main entry steps is dangerous and could have folks that were drinking cause an accident. It appeared that the restaurant or "open table" over booked the evening of Dec. 12th at 7:30. Many tables appeared small and crowded seating. We declined a table at the top of the stairs that was about 16 inches wide. We would not recommend the National to any of our friends. We are local full time residents of Telluride. My wife and I were very disappointed in our reservation and left due to the small table offered and where it was placed.
It was great. The food was awesome.
Other than the waiting for our food and the poor service, the food itself was very good.
I think buffers on bottoms of table or in the ceiling would help noise levels. It’s crazy loud as tables are close together. Love the seating but you are at the mercy of loud talkers. Love the menu and food! Our service was great too!!
As usual, the food was great and innovative. Definitely recommend the lobster risotto entree and the maple cinnamon bread pudding for dessert. The Mellot sancere was delicious. Only quibble is that for a restaurant that was half full because it is off-season it was quite noisy and hard to have a discussion with my table mate.
I’ve been a frequent visitor to Telluride for many years and now I’m a homeowner there. I’m sort of a foodie and have dined at many great restaurants across the country. The National has rapidly become my favorite restaurant in town. Great ambiance with a hip bar area, nice menu with selections for every food preference. The dishes are well prepared, with very ample portions and delicious flavor combinations. Servers are attentive but not intrusive. Awesome wine selection at very reasonable prices (you’ll pay about 2x retail price compared to 3-4x at comparable restaurants). Overall, The National gets my vote as the top dining experience in Telluride!
Food very inconsistent. Scollops not done, not seared, and had mushy texture. Ran out of main dishes
Small menu and few choices. Many of the dishes at the National featured garlic or truffle oil which I feel overpowers almost any ingredient. Appetizers where the best part of the meal.
The National is an outstanding addition to Telluride. The food is always delicious, the wine selection is broad and the ambience is the best in town! Diamond Dave is an added plus and not only mixes the drinks but also the music.
Excellent food & service! Very loud small space, but the food is fabulous!
Love the restaurant’s design and ambience. While very noisy, we had an excellent meal and great wine paired by the Somm. Our server George was also wonderful. We’ll be back!
First time to The National but it won't be our last. Wow! Hands down in my top 3 in Telluride/MV, and we've been to all of them a lot. Very cool space, friendly staff and the food....OMG! Just wow! On your next trip to Telluride, make sure you plan a night for The National. I promise you won't regret it and will be telling all your friends how good it was
Really great place! It’s small but that makes it feel very exclusive and close. The food was great and the drinks were even better. Really loved trying their different craft cocktails and our food was delicious. Steak and frites is a must!
I had the scallops and was very satisfied.
Rock shrimp for an appetizer was amazing!!!
I had a vegan with me and she loved it as muscular as I did!!
Pleasantly surprised. The food was great, prices decent for Telluride. We look forward to returning.
