Just had another great visit to The Mule in Port Dover! Drinks, appies, tacos & service were great as always! Fabulous place for celiacs as everything gluten free, but also fabulous place for anyone who loves good food, drinks & service! Shout out to Mackenzie & Megan & all the staff - great service!

Excellent, as always. Having Celiac Disease, it’s vital I feel confident eating safe food. Thanks to The Mule! Service and food always great. I understand why the Port Dover menu was reduced. It’s a tricky balance to keep a business afloat. However, we do miss the bottles of Prosecco, which would be easy for the restaurant to store. The calamari and other wonderful menu items that are missing I can work around. I’m just so dang happy to be here with ya.

Went for my Birthday. Out of my group I ordered first and didn't recieve my meal until the rest of the group was nearly half the way through their meals. My meal and drinks were compensated and my nephews each got a free dessert on the house which was much appreciated. Service in general was bad though, we had to ask for napkins twice, and my brother said he would have had at least two more beers if he was asked but they never did except once. Also, wasn't offered hot sauces until everyone basically had eaten half their tacos as well. And they were out of fries.

This was a lovely experience for 5 women after The Lighthouse Theatre Production. We all ordered the tacos in various preferences and thoroughly enjoyed them. I felt the nachos were a little small for a shareable appetizer. Overall we were happy with the service and ambiance! Good job ladies!!!!

Our waitress seemed overwhelmed with our party of 14 and did not receive any help from other staff. She wasn’t very pleasant. The food was ok. A little heavy handed with the pickled jalapeños on every dish which were all spicey. there was not an option to decline the jalapeños especially on the kids and seniors dishes. If you don’t like heat you’ll have to ask for no jalapeños (this wasn’t written on the menu anywhere). The tacos were tiny, the queso was runny and the bean dip portion was miniscule. They didn’t have brisket which is what everyone wanted to order so i’d recommend calling ahead to see what they have if you want something in particular on the day you will be eating there. The loaded fries was very good as were the margaritas. We probably won’t eat here again as we cook this type of food better at home and for 1/8 the price.

Make the trip to the Mule in Hamilton where there is way better service. The food was great as always however it took 45 minutes to receive our food and another 45 minutes and having to ask 3 times to get our bill. They do not prioritize good customer service here.
