WELCOME TO THE MULE.
We’re not your traditional Mexican place. We just happen to think that tacos are a dish best served fun, with a side of liquor. Welcome to The Mule, where tacos, tequila and bourbon come to play.

Located in one of London's most treasured spaces, we think we’ll be your new favourite lunch spot, your regular late-night haunt and your go-to destination for a good drink. Our bartenders have crafted a bourbon- and tequila-focused cocktail menu that will surprise and fascinate, and we also have a variety of beers on tap.

And don’t forget the food. From Baja wings to Brussels Sprouts tacos, chef Matthew Kershaw’s menu offers an approachable and fresh twist on your favourite flavours from way down south. Our tacos range from classic Mexican to weird-and-wild-you’ve-gotta-try-this. All of our food is 100% gluten-free and we offer a variety of fare that is sure to delight your vegetarian and vegan side.

We came to The Mule for our anniversary dinner and had such a great time! Cool downtown vibes, creative tacos (all gluten free — bless!), and fantastic service even in a packed house. I think our server was Allie - she was an absolute gem and full of great recommendations. They have a recently refreshed menu so lots of great options. We started with Miguel’s Tuna Crudo - super fresh, but watch out for the sneaky heat… had me taking off my sweater mid-bite 😂 Tried almost every taco on the menu and loved them all. At $7 each, they’re filling enough that 2–3 will do the trick. Drinks are a little pricey but so worth it. We’ll definitely be back!

Didn’t acknowledge that it was a birthday booking. Long service time. Didn’t get plates just tacos on a steel holder lol

Had 3 vegan tacos - love the Brussel sprout and sweet potato and the new cauliflower taco is great!

A fabulous first visit! Everything just works. The cocktails, the bartenders knowledge of tequila and was able to answer all our questions, the food was incredible.

Love the Mule! I was sad to see the black bean dip taken off the menu and a change to the fried chicken taco, but the Nashville sauce is so good. A regular destination for me and my friends that I’ll keep coming back to. Can’t wait to sit on the patio!

Was in town for a tournament and just had to make sure I try The Mule. The tacos were absolutely delicious! Flavour was 10/10. I'm gluten and dairy free and while a couple of them contain dairy, I had ample options!

Fantastic atmosphere and great food, drink selection. Food was excellent. Service very accommodating but could definitely be more attentive. Table seldom, if ever, cleared, water never refilled, took forever to receive check. However overall a wonderful time.

It was nice to have a Celiac safe restaurant where we didn't have to worry about cross-contamination and where the staff understands the safety protocols. Adi, our server was very patient and responded to questions appropriately. His service was excellent. We also had 2 extra people request to join us at the last minute; the restaurant was very accommodating despite being busy. Again, excellent customer service.
