The Muddy Duck is here to make a statement – to offer something a little bit different. So whilst our pub and restaurant live quite happily under one roof, we’re shamelessly two faced in trying to create spaces that contrast one another. The pub and beer garden are intended as somewhere to enjoy a pint and grab a bite to eat. If you want to opt for a fuller dining experience, our restaurant or terrace is where you should head. Our focus is wholeheartedly on great quality ingredients throughout, leaving fussy, pretentious menus well alone – to be enjoyed in a relaxed setting, run by a locally grown team! We make no bones that we’ve done some very deliberate things in the hope we’ll become the best of the brace and to see you returning to us time and time again… And if you think that’s just another piece of PR spiel, we hope we look forward to proving you wrong!

A group of girls getting together from Abingdon to Bedford, so a midway point. Absolutely loved it - great service, lovely atmosphere, and those crackling nibbles..... wow

The best Sunday roast in a restaurant that I have had . The very generous portion of beef was excellent,. The vegetables you could not fault. Great service , Lovely ambiance, with lots of family chatter around .
