The Nook Chophouse - Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Good food, nice staff and friendly service. Found the restaurant ambience and decor pretty dated and was under the impression there was live music (from this site) we were disheartened to find out they do not have that.

Incredible service, incredible food, and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond in helping us celebrate our anniversary.

Faristo took great care of us. The food was delicious and definitely worth the visit. Try sitting in front of the fireplace, it's a great setting for a romantic (and meaty) dinner!

The experience we had at the Nook was extraordinary. The service was superb, the ambiance was perfect and the food was superb- nothing better exists! We were so pleased with our experience. Thank you all at the Nook!

Best dish was osso bucco with scallops which was outstanding!

Celebrated our 40th anniversary at the Lodge, dinner was amazing.

My wife and I dined with reservations and we were seated on time. We didn’t see anyone to order for 20 minutes. We ordered appetizers without drinks, and entree’s at the same time. Appetizers came after 20 minutes. We waited 35 minutes for entree’s and then 35 minutes on the final check. I complained about the service to the person removing my plates, and low and behold the waiter appeared with a dessert menu, which I declined. He then said dessert was free. I declined. He then said could he wrap up some desserts, and I declined. He brought the check without apology but said he discounted the meal 50%. I said that wasn’t necessary. I didn’t want free food, I wanted good service. The food actually was excellent. I canceled my reservation for the next evening. I wouldn’t bother if I was you.

I have no problems paying $60 an entree for dinner, but it must be worth it. Unfortunately, our plates were not. The bisque, breads and desserts hit the mark.

Try the tastes of SMORES dessert its decadent and delicious. Highly reccomend this restaurant as outstanding. YOU WILL LOVE THE STEAKS AND THE SMORES DESSERT!!!

The food was amazing! Our waiter was incredible, especially with helping my pregnant wife pick the right meal. We will for sure be back!

Leading off with for the price point, Nook did not deliver the value. Saying that, our meals were not horrible either. I commend Nook for making good on the poor quality of the meals. The service was great when present, and the staff friendly though very hurried. It was clear that staffing levels were too low. Our meals took a great deal of time to arrive, which contributed to the ultimate poor quality of the experience.

A perfect dinner. Don't miss the lamb rack, but everything we oredered was jus excellent! And a perfect service too.

wagyu ribeye was spectacular, side brussels a must

Great food, outstanding service

My meal of the Bison tenderloin was delicious, however my husband has the ribeye...it was undercooked, so thin they couldn’t cook it enough, over priced and not very tasty for him at all.

While the service and atmosphere was really nice, for the price it was average. Nothing special or interesting about the food. I would never go back. But the casual restaurant outside is worth a trip as the view is fantastic.

Outstanding steak. Very friendly and good service.

They tried to originally seat us at what was probably the very worst table in the very large restaurant right next to the door. We asked to be moved and ended up not much farther away but it was acceptable. My husband quite enjoyed his tenderloin and I was very pleasantly surprised at how light and delicious my halibut dinner tasted.

Traditional steak house flair with consistent quality & service you would expect from Fairmont. Very pricey as expected but our waiter was attentive to our needs and quick to replace my overlooked strip loin. Ambience is very dark and there is no white table cloth to match the upscale price point, which is a little disappointing to me. But food quality was very good.

I enjoyed my dinner and service, but sent the tuna dinner back to be warmed up, as the whole plate was room temperature. Otherwise, a fine experience and gracious service.

Restaurant in the Fairmont Jasper Lodge. Food and service were very good - cost is a little high since the hotel has a captive audience. This is the nicer of the 2 restaurants in the lodge that we visited.

Cozy, refined lodge dining experience. Food is superb, service is attentive and friendly. Great meat selection.

Anniversary

Food was good, but variety was too little. The asparagus was almost burnt. The steak was very good, tender and juicy. Everything were overpriced. Desert menu was too small, very few choices. The staff were cool and nice.

Having just eaten at an amazing restaurant in Parks Canada Yoho Park, my expectations were high. The presentation on the plate, burnt bacon on my steak, and plate dressing was saved by an amazing wine pairing recommendation, delicious breads, and wonderful service.

The Nook House was ok, just a little pricey for what we had, The staff were friendly and level of service good, I had the wild boar and it was over cooked and dry even though I asked for it medium rare. My husband had a rib eye and it was cooked ok but wasn’t that tasty. If I stayed at the Fairmont Jasper gain I would eat in the bar area
