   A lovely pub with plenty of tables to sit at. Staff were pleasant and the food was lovely. The sea bass was very tasty for the main meal dish that we had and we shall definitely return there very soon.

   The Moody Mare is on a busy road in an isolated community, but once inside it does not impact too much on the dining experience. Reasonably priced well cooked food ensures that we will be visiting again!

   Arrived and surprisingly the large car park was almost full, looking at size of pub wondered how everyone fitted in but to our delight we were directed to a covered tepee style area. Certainly different, despite being ‘outside’ it was warm and inviting. Great service from young servers and looked after well by maître de (? The landlord). Good food and well priced

   Great welcome but menu was limited. Son in law's ribs were fine as was my husband's burger, but my ribs were fatty and did not have much sauce or fries with it. Brownie desserts were rich but very small and my cheeseboard had no butter; one of the cheeses was very dried up therefore inedible. My daughter's coke was flat but easily resolved and replaced. Been here before and had a lovely time hence return. Shame to report was disappointed on recent visit. Corner of the pub where we were, lacked atmosphere or ambience and wall lights were covered in dust.

   Food was fantastic, had both sea food and steak and both were cooked to perfection and really tasty. The only negative would have been the wait time from ordering to getting our food but it was busy so it's understandable. Th pub itself is so lovely and country feeling. The staff were brilliant, especially with my little one, who took a shine to the lovely lady serving our table. Overall fantastic evening spent at The Moody Mare and we will return.

    Great country pub, serving great classic dishes. The Sunday lunch was excellent with plenty of lovely veg. The service is friendly and efficient. I would definitely go back especially for the sticky toffee pudding yum.

    We had a fantastic evening. The waitresses were very attentive. Everyone in our party enjoyed there food. Looking forward to attending a music night in the tipi. Having a large group on a long table it is hard to talk to people.

    Lovely place, had a really nice welcoming feel to it, very spacious. Staff were lovely. Food was lush although my partners burger was still quite pink inside & the batter on my fish was a tad soggy. But this won’t stop us going back again, we’ve already decided what we will order next time 😁 highly recommend the Moody mare.

    Quiet lovely location. Was very dark maybe too Darla T our table there was no lights had to use torch from phone to read the menu and had to light the tea light on the window seal. Overall food was amazing very quick service and good value for money. Only disappointment was the menu was not the same as on this site. Would definitely recommend and come back again.

    This is my mum's favourite eatery, it's not local to us but we make the effort as it's excellent. The food was extremely good in every way. The service was superb even though they were very busy. I honestly don't know how they do food of that high quality at such a low price? Mum has a child's portion Turkey roast, which is actually quite big, she thoroughly enjoyed it and was amazed when told it was £7!

    First visit and very impressed with food and service. We sat in a giant tent area that was decorated nicely. It was a little chilly. The roasts were huge and delicious. We will be back.

    First time visiting and wasn’t overly impressed. We were seated straight away and our order taken quickly but 50 minutes later our food still had not come. Someone then came over to advise us our ticket was not handed to the kitchen. No offer of a free drink or money off the bill for the extremely long wait which we found a little disappointing. We had cokes off the tap and this was sadly flat and had to be taken back. We came with high hopes as this place has a lot of great reviews but we left disappointed

    Great friendly service as always. Made us very welcome including our dog. I left my dog bowl behind and they called me to let me know and I went back to collect it. Food and ambience lovely as always!

    Jennifer was v helpful re seating and service arrangements. roast potatoes tasted as reheated and hard as was Yorkshire pud. had difficulty tasting pork in roast 3 combo. ambience very good and attractive.

    The food was unbelievable. The atmosphere stunning. The service impeccable. 5* id give more if I could Will 100% be coming back. They even gave us a free brownie Sunday for my girlfriends birthday ! Thanks very much !!!

    Stunning appearance, really unexpected from the outside! Staff were lovely. My hubbies chair was broken and could have caused an accident had he not noticed when he did! But saying that staff were quick to replace it once told.

    Not Impressed with being fobbed off with worst table in restaurant with barely enough head room to sit. Esp after booking 10 days in advance and 'attitude' of staff when I complained saying ll other tables booked which was a lie as the maitre d heard the raised voices and hey presto another table miraculously became available..

    Sunday lunch was ok but was luke warm, good quantities however and was tasty, I have had better for approx £17 for the beef roast. Service was ok considering it was not overly busy but could have been better waited a while for drinks and starters. Overall it was ok which is a shame considering the place itself is lovely and the staff also seemed nice and polite maybe a bad day
