They did not have our reservation and questioned us on which place we reserved since there are two locations. I showed them it was Helena location. The waitress was very nice and helpful. The food was salty and not very good.

We love the elegant ambience of this grand old place. The staff are favorites and the 4 wines selected for us by Sye were outstanding. Malina and Rachael served up an amazing appetizer of chicken scewers in a delicious peant sauce. A wonderful evening. Always a pleasure and very good for conversation. Staff was helpful and wonderful. Only one waiter for the entire restaurant was surprising. Food was a flop. My steak was way overcooked, I sent it back ( which is very rare for me to do). They brought me a new one and it was awful in flavor and still not at the correct temperature. The setting could have been enhanced with some light music, the lights to the chandeliers were off which was disappointing. I hope they turn it around.

Went here for girls’ night to celebrate our birthdays and had incredible service, delicious food and drinks. The menu was very creative and we each ordered something different. Our waitress, Jess, had previously worked at a winery and helped us select a wonderful wine. Cocktails were lovely and presented beautifully. It was a spectacular evening.

I love the Original Montana Club and will always support it as a dues paying member and now as a stock owner in the cooperative cooperative. It’s a shame that some things in the menu weren’t available but that happens. There were a couple of events going on up stairs with people moving between floors and depending on where they landed the noise level was at times intrusive to conversations. Lastly, I realize times have changed, but it still bothers me that people don’t dress for the venue they are dining in or partying in. Shorts, backpacks, tee shirts seems to be the attire of attendees. It’s a shame to see the old girl (the Montana Club) disrespected as the unique, historical place it is.

We were celebrating a birthday that night. We had a table for two by the balcony. Staff opened the window/door for us so we could watch people below walking through the city. Staff were attentive and the food was excellent. I felt like we were in Paris!

We had a very nice time and a great meal at the Montana club. And a really nice surprise because they had live music. It was exceptionally nice music that was jazzy and bluesy. I hope we can be so lucky again.

The problem wasn't a bad experience, it was NO experience. We showed up precisely at our reservation time and were told there was a wedding dinner going on and they were not open for any reservations! Father's day. Nearby restaurants booked solid. Most local online restaurants booked as well. Not exactly what we expected.

We are so sorry you were unable to dine with us. We called all booked customer in the morning to let them know we had to cancel their reservations in advance. The day in question the head chef came down with the flu and we had 2 other events booked out for the day that were planned out more than a year. We did not have enough staff to be able to cover two events and regular service without the chef. We hope that you can consider this and that we did indeed try and contact you ahead of time

Worst service ever! We had our anniversary dinner here and waited 2 hours for our food. Our waitress only came to us about 4 times within that timeframe. The food was even worse than the wait and the drinks were way overpriced. Would not recommend to anyone.

Over all not very impressed. Server and other employees were friendly. They only had 2 options for soda drinks, Sprite and Coke. No diet- no iced tea. Dinner for three took over 30 min to get out to the table and there were only 3 tables occupied. Food was ok... honestly I thought the bacon wrapped filet was better at a catered even I went to at the airport. Building was cool because it's historic, but needs a lot more restoring. I wish I was able to find a reason to return, but I didn't.

We have eaten at Montana Club at least 3 times and previously we have had good meals with decent service although they always seemed a little unorganized. However, this last meal the restaurant had a very off night. Our waitress was delayed getting to our table, took our drink and food orders, and then disappeared. An hour later there was no sign of our waitress, our cocktails or our food. After having a conversation with the bartended, they made efforts to make amends to us and comped our cocktails and a dessert. We received numerous reassurances that our food was being plated and on its way shortly. However, when my ragu with gnocchi arrived, it was cold and the gnocchi wasn't properly cooked. The cocktails were good as was the cheesecake with fruit compote that we had for dessert. And the bartended was our hero for trying to salvage the evening for us while our waitress remained absent for the remainder of our evening. Although The Montana Club has an excellent prime rib on Saturdays and a similarly excellent prime dip sandwich (available all nights) it will be awhile before we test out this restaurant again.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the Montana Club. Delicious apps and dinner. The little gold chairs could use at least a cushion upgrade, and maybe some leg tightening, but other than that, it was wonderful, and will go back again.

The ambience was bright for an evening event. The menu options were very limiting and when the food arrived it wasn’t good. The gnocchi was over cooked and soggy. The steaks were not cooked to correct temperature.

Went for Easter brunch. The food wasn’t great with limited options. The server indicated the buffet included bottomless mimosas, it did not. The bartender was great. Overall it was underwhelming and overpriced.

Made a reservation using the OpenTable app and arrived there for my reservation. The hostess told me that she could not see my reservation and that they were not accepting the reservations anymore because they were full. I had a confirmation email of the reservation and everything which I showed however I was still refused to be seated. I understand that somewhere they forgot to update their availability online however their lack of doing so resulted in additional reservations. The hostess was rude and their was no effort to try to seat me because of their error.
