   We made a last minute booking for NYE dinner. You're never confident when making a rushed booking, however we couldn't be more pleased! I don't like to visit the same places, but would definitely return here!

   The Mole & Chicken is a great pub and I'd recommend it. Lovely food, great atmosphere, the only slight criticism I have is that the service tailed off a bit as our lunch went on.

   Even though our online booking didn’t appear to be know to the Mole & Chicken on arrival and being told the kitchen had closed the barman checked with the chef and he agreed to reopen the kitchen for us. There was no restrictions in our choices from the menu and the food was excellent. Some might have expected a less than expected service due to the re opening of the kitchen but I’m pleased to say this wasn’t so. Excellent food and service

   Food was really good and flavours throughout were perfect. Can't fault the menu. On arrival it took several minutes before we were greeted, albeit there were only two people at the bar and had to get up to pay as once service was over we were left to our own devices. Nothing serious, just took a star away as it was a special night out for us.

   Fantastic food and great staff very pleasant and polite and made to feel very welcome even dog friendly.

   Service slow and had to chase drinks. Food is OK but have had better meals there before. Seems to be going though a less successful time. Hope it improves as setting and ambience have been very good.

   I’ve been twice now and both times the food was exceptional. Absolutely delicious. Any time I have friends to visit I’ll be bringing them here. Not sat outside yet, but looking forward to enjoying the amazing view when we do.

    Three of us had a one course al fesco lunch on Bank Holiday Monday. The food (we had ordered two different fish dishes between us) was very pleasant and well cooked. The service was very slow, which didn't matter greatly to us, but it clearly also affected others. Perhaps they had underestimated demand – it was a beautiful day.
