Definitely worth a visit!!! Service was exceptional. Food awesome. Wine menu a bit overpriced. Liked the fact that gratuity included in pricing. Definitely have desert!!
Food is amazing, restaurant is vibrant and energizing at all times of day, service is friendly and knowledgeable. Our waiter hit the perfect note of describing high cuisine with no condescension, since he obviously had no way of knowing how much we knew about food techniques.

Very innovative, unique, and great tasting cuisine. Love the food! They also feature great tasting and unique cocktails. It’s a bit pricy, but the restaurant has a “no tip” policy, so price value is fine. I highly recommend The Bar at the Modern.
Delicious but wish the portions were just a little bit larger!! Excellent service. The butter and bread were heavenly. Apps and entrees tasty!!
The service was great. The food, however, was very greasy. I had the sea scallops that were heavily burdened by a mayonnaise and were both oily and too rich; my wife had the butternut squash (which was more pesto shells with butternut squash than vice versa), which was also heavily oiled, as was the pesto sauce. Our server was fantastic, but could not make up for the kitchens missteps.
I would give it another try as I do with all well regarded restaurants where we were disappointed.
We had a very nice experience at the The Modern. We ate at the bar and the service, food and drinks were all top shelf.

Once again I choose The Modern for my birthday. This time, at my son’s urging, we booked the Bar Room.
We missed our waitress from last year Paula, in the Dining Room, but our waiters and servers could not have been better at suggestions and recommendations. Kudos to them for knowing all the answers to our dietary questions (Vegan diner) without running back and forth to the kitchen.
Every dish was a delight to feast on, both with our eyes and taste buds. From the bright green and delicious broccoli soup, to the beautiful shreds of the Brussel sprout salad. The seared scallops with the almonds, cauliflower and brown butter sauce was so multilayered with flavors I was in heaven from the first bite to the last!
The Happy Birthday mini cupcake with ice cream and the specialty teas should have been the icing on the evening, but the sweet hostess Emily, saw us looking into the beautiful kitchen and invited us in for a tour. Now THAT was a delightful way to end The Modern experience.
