Perfect Sunday brunch. The Bloody Mary was not fancy but it was the beat one if have ever had in my life. The food was outstanding.
Great food and service. My husband and I are vegetarian and there was plenty of options (or modifications offered to make them vegetarian). Our server was attentive and helpful with explains dishes.
Would recommend it.
Slow service even though there were few customers. Servings of food were too small for the cost
Yikes! Sorry we fell short of your expectations during your visit. We try our best to make each guest truly happy when they are with us and we're bummed we couldn't make you a fan of ours. Striking that balance between the high costs of goods our industry is facing and what we charge to maintain our business is a careful balancing act. Nonetheless, we hope you enjoyed your show at TPAC after your short time with us. Wish you the best!
Seated quickly. Quiet nice ambiance. WAiter personable and informative. Ordered beer, espresso martini and gin and tonic. All were good. Only ate appetizers and were full. Food was delicious. Talented chef.
The food was great! The atmosphere and service was wonderful! We had a very enjoyable brunch !
Visited Nashville for the weekend. This was a recommendation from a friend!! Everyone’s brunch was DELICIOUS and the Bloody Marys were perfect! Highly recommend !
My husband and I wanted to try a new spot for brunch and booked Mockingbird. We went on a Saturday and being from Nashville, we should have known it was going to be full of bachelorette parties. I think we would have preferred a more chill, calm environment but that could have been on us for not doing our research!
The staff was friendly, which was a plus. They were out of cinnamon rolls and doughnuts by 1:00 pm on a Saturday, which was definitely a bummer considering the brunch scene is usually popular. My husband ordered the taco which is the size of a burrito. I ordered the 'Merica, which is a simple breakfast. We also shared an order of biscuits.
Overall, the food was good but I'm on the fence on whether or not I'd go back!
Pretty good food with a more interesting drink menu such as tang mimosas. The decor is eclectic and fun as well. Only negative was that we made a reservation online for myself and my husband since the place is usually booked up in advance and were seated in the loud bachelorette section as the only 2 person table in a room of 3 different 8+ person bachelorette groups. Needless to say it was very difficult to converse and relax in that atmosphere especially considering the rest of the restaurant had plenty of seating.
we really loved the shared plates and the ambiance! would definitely come back again!
Slow slow service. Mediocre food. Nice server but dinghy. It was not busy
Oh no! Sorry we didn't wow you during your visit. However, name calling is kinda not what we're into so we are going to ignore the part of your review that calls one of our team members "dinghy". We're all human and you may need to be reminded that it is imperative that we treat each other with the same respect you'd like to be shown. Best of luck on your dining adventures- and remember.....please be nice :)
This is my favorite dinner place in Nashville! I love taking friends from out of town here.
Katygrace, you are awesome! Thank you for your patronage and for being a fantastic guest each and every visit!
I ate at the Mockingbird a few years ago and loved it and couldn't wait to go back. This trip it was a total disappointment .. food ordered by entire party was not good, we weren't told that the kitchen closed at 9:00 pm so dessert was not an option. They brought the check and we asked to see the menu to be told "sorry the kitchen is closed".
The food was amazing! Our server Austin was attentive and very mice. Will definitely eat here again! Try the Thatchos!
We are fans of Austin's, too! He is a great guy and we are stoked that he is part of our team. Thank you for the kind words and the 5 stars, you flocking rock! p.s.- Can every guest be as nice and kind as y'all were, please? It would make our day so much more fantastic if so. Keep spreading light and love! <3
Food and service was outstanding!! Price was great especially considering the unique and fresh ingredients. Very creative and fun menu. Staff went above and beyond to make our evening memorable. Highly recommend!!+
A treat to discover. Wonderful food and atmosphere and service; and the proprietor was extremely welcoming and gracious, and went out of his way to see that we had a memorable experience, as well as a great meal and service.
The best Hot Brown ever! This place is so cute and the food was phenomenal! Would absolutely recommend.
We dined upstairs and enjoyed the view of the surrounding neighborhood. (The ubiquitous party buses are more fun to see from a distance!) The restaurant was not crowded but the service was a little bit uneven with lag times between drinks and food courses. We did not mind as the ambience was congenial. The setting was comfortable with good lighting and plenty of space between tables. Overall the food was delicious, though one member of our party felt the pork chop was just a bit overcooked. An order of the gemelli pasta was delicious, and large enough to feed a small army, and the burger won rave reviews from a person in our group who loves her "burgahs."
We enjoyed our time at the Mockingbird. The food was delicious and the service was prompt and attentive. The restaurant was very crowded, thus very noisy, but it did not detract from our experience. The "Pasta la Vista" dish was outstanding. It was unique and flavorful. My only regret is that I could not finish as the portion was so huge. We also ordered the El Hungry German, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
Great food, great ambience, great service.
Stopped in for brunch. Wife and I both had incredible food. Flavours were extremely well balanced, each ingredient contributed to overall delight. I was happy with craft beer selection and wife was happy to see some non boring, non-alc options. Great service, nice facility. It was standout experience on a trip filled with great meals.
Delicious! And if you sit upstairs on the porch, you can enjoy views of Nashville!
Anna G, You ROCK! Thank you for the kind words! Keep being awesome!
This was such a cute place for dinner and drinks. The decor was so cute and the food was amazing. The staff were lovely and we would definitely eat here again.
Thank you for the stellar review!
Incredible hot brown & blte ! The food was so delicious we can’t wait to go back and try more things!
Thank you for the great review! We appreciate it! :)
Bunny, our waiter made our brunch experience fabulous! He is a riot and certainly added to the appeal of our visit to the Mockingbird. This venue was recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed!!! The outside seating was lovely and the food over the top! I had the OMG BLT and it was that and more. Another in our party had an open faced sandwich with gruyere that looked divine!
This review just made our day (and Bunny's)! Thank you for spreading love, kindness and great reviews. We appreciate it!
I highly recommend The Mockingbird Nashville as it truly exceeded my expectations. You must start with the bagel bombs- OMG delish! I had the Curry Chicken sandwich. It was SO good. The hash, tots dish and Pork Breakfast sandwich were enjoyed as well. The place is super cute for a photo op and the staff could not be better. Make a reservation...there is a line to get in 1/2 hour before they open for brunch.
Thank you for this review! It warms our heart! Hope to see you again soon! xo, The 'Birds
We ate there for dinner on Thursday night Sept. 30th. The food and service were excellent. I wish I knew the name of our server Chris? because everything he recommended was delicious. He new the menu very well and had excellent recommendations. the bird chicken dish was awesome as were the 3 dip and belly appetizer. I would definitely return my next trip to Nashville.
Thank You, Kurt! Chris is a treasure, we're stoked you enjoyed his company as much as we do!
I'm so glad we found Mockingbird. The food was great, as was the service. Try the Tatchos and the Brussels Sprouts, for sure.
We're also glad you found us! :) Thank you for the visit and your awesome review!
We went here for my wife’s birthday and the food, drinks and appetizer were amazing. The dessert was the only things that was not necessarily up to par, but everything else was amazing.
Thank you for trusting us with your celebration meal, glad we were able to show y'all a good time! Be well!
Great place for brunch! Friendly, efficient staff bringing you great food! Banana bread was incredible and stuffed bagels were so good. I loved my BLT with an egg added, and it had the best local bacon. Bentons! I think.
Menu always has cool names for dishes.
Always our favorite place for happy hour and dinners, too.
Just the best, most beautifully decorated place.
Debbie! You are an absolute delight and we love having you visit us. Each and every time you bring smiles to all of our faces! THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME! <3
In short: enjoyable and would return.
Service was kind if somewhat inattentive. Our waitress was very good, incredibly nice and personable with excellent recommendations. Didn’t get silverware for a few minutes after apps arrived, then hate to wait on more with entrees because they took ours. Not bad, just slightly inconvenient.
Apps were terrific. Had the pimento arancini and grilled Brie cheese with chimichurri. Could eat both everyday.
Wife had the short rib noodles for an entree, I had the fried chicken thighs with chorizo gravy. Both were good, but not necessarily memorable. Just didn’t have strong, bold flavors.
Ordered desserts for fun, but didn’t finish either because they were big and we were already full. Butter cake was odd, but delicious. Never had anything quite like it. Banana cream pie was outstanding, I would come back just for it.
Value was a little steep, but not outrageous for Nashville. It was very loud upstairs. A group of 20 something girls were behind us and they screamed regularly. Not a big deal to us, but this place definitely appeals to that kind of group. Just a warning if that’s not for you.
Food and service were good. Tables were very close together, a table of 6 next to us was a little uncomfortable.
Food was great and the service was wonderful!
We had an amazing meal in the patio and can’t wait to come back the next time we are in Nashville.
Thank you for the nice review! We'll be here waiting with open wings for y'all!
We enjoyed a last minute brunch at The Mockingbird. The menu has a variety of dishes that are creative and flavorful. We had a hard time deciding what to order! Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal completely. Our server was pleasant and the atmosphere is fun. My only complaint would be the bar service. It took forever to get out the beverages. However we would definitely dine here again!
Exceeded our Expectations! Will be back next time in Nashville! 😘
This was our first time going there. The food was some of the best I have had in Nashville! It was very flavorful. We will be back!
The Mockingbird restaurant is similar to its name. It's a place that wants to be hip and trendy and on the cutting edge of culinary arts, but it ends up being tired, crowded, noisy and despite the cute names, mundane in its approach to food. The décor looks beat up, the staff was trying hard, the front of the house was sour and dyspeptic and clearly overworked. The ceilings are so low as to be uncomfortable for anyone over 5'8". The food was like cruise food, designed to be pretty but uninspired and bland. I had a Kentucky Brown sandwich with glutinous cheese sauce, what appeared to be Turkey roll, way overcooked bacon and a dangerous looking tomato. My wife had 2 eggs over easy with sausage and potatoes - hard to cook badly unless you undercook the eggs, overcook the sausage and add enough grease to the potatoes to turn them into a soggy mess. Save your $50 for breakfast and go to Waffle House, better value, better food.
The food and service were both wonderful! On the pricey side, so maybe a spot for a celebration or date night! The tables were pretty close together but our waiter seemed to notice that we were a little uncomfortable with the lack of distance and moved our table! Great experience!
Wonderful service, beautiful ambiance, delicious food. Portions are big—- we couldn’t finish our dinner. A little pricey for the quality, but it make sense for portion size, being downtown and for the vibe. Overall would love to come back!
