Melbourne has SOOO many choices of places to eat. I was looking for a restaurant with ambience, not too expensive and available last minute on a Saturday night. I found a lovely restaurant off the beaten path. The gentlemen who sat me was very attentive. I was dining alone and he sat me so I could watch the whole restaurant. The food was fabulous. I gave this a 4 star instead of 5 because my salad and dinner were served together. This may be a cultural thing but..... Have already suggested it to others.

A fabulous dining experience. Excellent 10/10 service from a wonderful waitress (from Columbia via New York). The most pillow like fluffy gnocchi I’ve ever eaten! Will be back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food was amazing. Really, really delicious. Service was lovely and the setting is very cool. Kinda tucked away, it has a special feel. Very much enjoyed our dinner there.

The Moat is a favourite place to either dine or just have a drink. It’s got a great vibe, staff are happy and attentive, food is so tasty.

I met my fiancée here for our first date and i took her here after i proposed because we love this place for the food and ambience. I left them a note in the booking about the post engagement dinner and they were very kind to give us a nice corner table and also served some complimentary food. The service is always great

Had a lovely dining experience at the Moat. It's perfect for the long lunch. Great food, no pressure to leave as soon as you're finished, and lovely staff.

We love this restaurant - it's one of our favorites! Always exceptional service and food. A little bit let down by the fact we has specifically requested a table in the main dining room and we had booked weeks ago, to make sure this occurred, but we were sadly seated in the anteroom.... We had taken someone along who hadn't been there before and we knew she would LOVE the main dining room, but not to be.... Still, highly recommend this restaurant. Despite the small menu, the food never disappoints, and the service is always 10/10 or better... (would love to see an occasional dessert special though..... ) Thanks The Moat!
