   We were so excited for Hopkinsville to have elevated dining. Sure, the prices might be higher than your typical chain in Hopkinsville, but the food makes it worth it. Especially considering that you’re supporting a locally owned business. This is a wonderful spot for a date night or special occasion without having to drive out of town. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. The beer list has some really interesting selections, and the cocktails are fantastic. We can’t wait to go back!

   Had dinner at The Mixer prior to going to see The Music Man at the Alhambra theater. Tried the Rueben Egg Rolls for the first time, OMG, they were so good! Also, enjoyed the Potstickers. Had the Wedge Salad with chicken for dinner and finished with cheesecake for desert. All of the food was great.

   We were going to the theatre. They had a theatre menu, we ordered drinks abd were served quickly. Great old fashioned and martinis. The burger and the salmon are a favorite. The fried okra app totally craveable. Locally owned. Beautiful historic building.

    Food was meh and overpriced for what you got. Salmon was not seasoned. Pork chop special was not special. Chicken sandwich and hamburger was good but not so good it was worth the price tag. I don’t mind paying extra for good food but I want it worth it. We had to wait over an hour for the food to arrive. Service was good and ambience good but I won’t be going back.

    Good food and great atmosphere. This was our first visit and luckily, we made a reservation as few customers were turned away. We will return but will try something else instead of the hamburgers as they were good, but a little dry. The fried okra & peppers amazing.

    We love driving up to Hopkinsville to eat at the Mixer. Although the menu doesn't change much, it just seems to get better every time. Our waitress, can't remember her name but it starts with a C, always gets our table and she is fun, friendly and very efficient. The food is amazing, I especially love the goat cheese, brulee and steak salad. The drinks are top notch and reasonably priced for what you get. Great bartenders. The manager stopped to chat as I admired the whiskey poster in the back of the room. Just absolutely love this place.

    This was probably my 5th or 6th visit to The Mixer. All the prior visits were excellent but I didn’t get that same feeling this time. Ambiance: I’ve decided I don’t like the upstairs area. It’s way too bright and we sat right under bright can lights. Not getting that cozy, date night feel. Food: the Salmon was tasty but the brussel sprouts that come with it were way too saucy and oily. Rice was good but there was some other oily sauce that was placed on the plate off to the side. Previously this entree was excellent. Not sure why it’s all saucy and oily now. Date had the risotto and same thing: fresh ingredients and decent taste but too oily. Drinks: they have a impressive craft cocktail list. The burbon drinks in the past were poured over a single cube of ice. This visit they were disappointingly served over regular ice cubes. When I mentioned this to the server I was corrected and was told these drinks did not come with the single cube. Ok, guess they’ve gotten rid of that but that’s too bad, it was a nice touch. I won’t write off the Mixer just yet but I won’t be as excited for my next visit.

We believe consistency is key in everything we do, if your first few experiences were excellent, we of course do not want anything to damper that! Food is the biggest part of that philosophy, we will touch base with our kitchen to ensure that each entree is plated consistantly, with our desired level of quality. We do allow requests for seating, if you prefer downstairs, we will absolutely accomodate that request if at all possible (which would rarely be a problem).

    I live in Hopkinsville Ky, where this restaurant is located. We don’t have a large selection of dining options without driving to a nearby town. The Mixer is the closest thing we have to a fine dining establishment, and it does not disappoint! The food, service, and atmosphere is phenomenal! It is fairly pricey for this area, but you honestly get what you pay for and in no way did it disappoint! One of the best steaks I’ve ever had! Would highly recommend, and we will definitely be going back.

    Everything was great. Food and service was excellent. Very friendly atmosphere. Not to complain but, we had the misfortune to have the first table as you come in the door. It was very cold when the door was opened and blew cold air in. Maybe suggest a double door.

    We’ve dined many times at The Mixer has never been disappointed..This time how’re my husbands steak was slightly over cooked..Not complain to server worthy especially on NYE.. It was still a pleasant experience .. The only thing I will say is I wish they had better dessert options such as Tiramisu

    The Mixer is a favorite of mine. The food never disappoints and the service is superb. Their lattes and specialty drinks make it unique and are always delicious. Heather and Graham are gems and I so thankful for their restaurant and dedication to downtown Hopkinsville.
