Old Town Scottsdale’s heart is beating to a Latin drum, now that The Mission has arrived and brightened the restaurant scene. Renowned Zinc Bistro Chef Matt Carter is now cooking up modern Latin cuisine blending influences from Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America. Home made Tortillas, Arepas, and Salsas are made fresh daily and all meats are prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor.

It has become a tourist trap. Stale bread. Overcooked food. Poor quality. Too bad, it used to be a great place to go.

Would avoid if possible.

Enjoyed brunch at The Mission. The shrimp tacos and guacamole made tableside are two favorites. The back patio is the best seating.

Food is always good at the Mission. We were seated and told we would have to wait for menus?? Obviously very short staffed today. Drinks took a long time to come..when questioned the server said they were likely still at the bar?? Hardly saw our server ... hopefully just a glitch in this usually great place

Tacos were very good but was disappointed in service. And beware the sides are not included. We felt we were mislead that they were part of meal.

The Mission is top of our list of restaurants to go to whenever we visit Scottsdale. It’s usually our first stop.

Amazing salsa and tableside guacamole, outstanding margaritas and sangria, and brilliant entrees—we love the pork porchetta and the skirt steak tacos.

We tolerate the sound level because we love the food!!

Booked for special Valentine's Meal while in Scottsdale on the basis of prior reviews. We were seated at a 2 top - very small table, sandwiched in shoulder-to-shoulder with two other tables. Restaurant was so dark you could not even see your food, and certainly not the menu. Server was very nice, but overwhelmed. Price very high for the quality of the food. I hate to leave bad reviews, but we will not return.

Valentine's is not the best day to judge. They were hopping with a limited menu. Service was great! Food was very tasty. Their "signature" margarita was just an expensive margarita. Place was very noisy. Want to go back on a regular day.

This was the worst—by far—meal we’ve ever had. Your price fixe Valentines menu was a horrible disappointment. Frankly, we were blindsided by it—because we don’t drink alcohol—we had to overpay (understatement) for really bad food. Wow!

Went there for Valentines Day dinner. Not aware of special day only dinner menu. WAY overpriced. Literal 50% markup from same menu items from normal dinner menu. The seating in the restaurant is too close table to table and very loud. The food and normal menu is good, but I won’t go back.

Always try to visit when in town. Great drinks! Ample portion sizes. Gluten free options!! Kale salad was excellent nice kick and huge portions. I would split a few things to try them all!
