Home made tortillas, and salsas are made fresh daily to accompany an assortment of meats and seafood prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor. And save room for dessert including our pumpkin bread pudding or expresso churros.

Hands down the best experience and dinner I have ever been to! Our waiter (I think his name was Mar) was the BEST... request him any chance you get. He picked our food for us, drinks, gave the best suggestions, knew there entire menu and the story behind each item and we left so happy/full. I will be back to here any time I come to visit.
By far the best meal and experience we had in Arizona. Sarah, our server, was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable of menu and gave great wine and food suggestions. Food was incredible! Highly recommend
Loved the atmosphere. It was crowded but they did a nice job of keeping it organized with an intimate feel. Food was excellent and unique. Loved the Brussel Sprout Tacos!
Wow best Mexican fusion food I ever ate, I will be back to try more on the menu
We had the best meal and the best time! Such a fun place!
Always consistently good!
Everything was spectacular!! Service, food and ambiance. Highly recommend
Great food and atmosphere!
We had an incredible meal and overall experience at The Mission. Everything from the service (sorry, cannot remember our wonderful Sri Lankan-descended server ), the ambiance, and, of course, the food was memorable.
The salsa for the chips, the "made-at-your-table-your-way" guacamole was tasty. But that was just the beginning. As far as the meals-we had the shrimp appetizer, the "Russian-roulette" pepper appetizer (that really "hurt" both of us for a while), the honey/pepper polenta, mahi-mahi tacos, and my indescribably delicious Kobe Dog smothered with some gemisch of peppers, sauce, bacon, and soft brioche pieces. Finally, we both had alcoholic beverages that were excellent.
All-in-all, it was truly a memorable meal and event. We'll certainly go back again!
Always top shelf. Stop every time we are in PHX.
Over priced for the portion sizes
We eat here every time we visit Scottsdale and they never disappoint. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding, even on a very busy Valentine's Day Friday. Cocktails are special. Thank you!
Great food & service. Beautiful restaurant. Very dark
Blown away! Rich was an excellent server. The food was amazing! Sexy place! Great music!
We had made reservations a month in advance and glad we did. Our waitress, Amanda, was exceptional! Our entrees were divine! Our friends visiting us from New York absolutely loved their meal and the ambiance! I had read quite a few negative reviews and was really concerned prior to going; however, glad we went!
Terrible. Never got the meal they forgot us. Never again.
The food was outstanding and the table side guacamole was the best guacamole we’ve ever had. Service was excellent through and through. A bit pricey, but the quality of the food and service made up for the price. Sometimes you get what you pay for and this was one of those times.
We had 10 in our party. One received the wrong steak. They took it back to fix the order, the server admitted she made a mistake. After about 15 minutes we called the server over to check on the status of his new steak. They overcooked it and we’re going to cook a third steak. By the time they brought it out, the other 9 of us were done eating so he had them put his steak in a to go box to take back to his hotel. Not a good experience.
Welcoming environment with a unique modern take on Mexican food. Service was also as welcoming and great!
We heard the Mission was a must while in Scottsdale. It is very dark inside, but your eyes adjust and it was fairly pleasant (candle-lit). Although, I noted we wanted to be seated on the patio in the reservation, they sat us inside anyways. Margaritas were great, but very expensive ($15/drink). Table-side guacamole was delicious (ordered medium heat with no cheese). We both ordered tacos (one skirt steak and one mahi-mahi) and shared them. Although small, they were filling and delicious. The waitress strongly encouraged us both to get a side, but that ended up being way too much food (just got us to spend more). I got the street corn off the cob (very good) and my girlfriend got the papas y chorizo (just ok). Overall a solid experience, just be ready to drop some dough.
We enjoyed a nice Sunday brunch. Their guacamole and waffles are delicious and this place is beautiful!
Celebrating my husband’s first Marathon
The service, food, and ambiance were wonderful. My only wish would be that the tables were not so close together. But, we’ll be back!
Outstanding food, service and margaritas. The guacamole is the best I have ever had.
Our waiter seemed to be lost--so I took extra care to carefully explain that we EACH wished to order the pork tacos--eg 2 orders. I clarified it more than once. He finally brought us ONE order-I asked where the other order was--he thought we only ordered ONE. We started eating. Another waiter stopped and wanted to know how things were--I told him we would like to have the rest of our order. He said he would take care of it. Some time later the original waiter stopped and asked if we were finished---I told him we finished 1/2 our order -could we PLEASE have the rest. Again confusion. The other waiter also stopped by again and seemed surprised we never got the rest of our order! This was repeated until I was really tired of the whole thing. We got the other half of our order approximately 1 hour after we initially received the first part of our order. I do not know what is happening at the Mission--I have dined there for years and recommended it for food and service---Something is seriously amiss--the owner needs to get some well trained staff or he is in trouble. I would recommend only if the person did not mind sitting at the bar where the service is always very good.
Our server was the best. I believe her name was Lexi. Food, drinks, and service was outstanding.
Very well-prepared and authentic dishes in a lively and low-light environment. Loved the drink options, and the staff is friendly and professional.
The Mission has very delicious food! It’s a bit pricey but a nice place to go occasionally. The Guac is the best!! Taco’s outstanding!! We sat on back patio outside, very nice.
My coworkers and I thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the Mission. Our server recommended dining family style to try the pork shoulder tacos, the duck empanada and a small variety of other items. We also tried several of the types of margaritas, all of which were delicious but some were a little overpriced for their size and strength. The only reason I am not giving the Mission 4 stars is because we initially were turned away from the restaurant when trying to walk in without a reservation. We were given a minimum wait time of 45 minutes, despite many open tables. We walked out of the restaurant, logged on to OpenTable, and grabbed one of the MANY open time slots that were available within 10 minutes of our initial request for a table. We then walked back in and said we now have a reservation and were seated immediately. I would recommend the hostesses to take the "free" walk-in business rather than wait for all guests to book a reservation via OpenTable for which the restaurant is then charged a fee for facilitating.
This is a very good latin/Mexican inspired restaurant in a great location. The drinks are very good, the tableside guacamole excellent and the overall menu inventive. The sides on the menu are some of the best features and much more than you would expect (especially the green beans). I did not give it full 5 stars everywhere because there were some minor execution flaws and at this price point for Mexican food, it should be perfect.
Wonderful food, great ambience and fantastic service.
Excellent quality, very flavorful. I had Mahi tacos, small portion, but really good. Husband had pork tacos, nice portion, loved it. Best quacamole!! Worth it.
Amazing food and great atmosphere!
Great experience, food and drinks. Exceptional service from Hannah.
The Mission was outstanding by every measure. Cocktails, wine, table side guacamole, salads, entrees, and desert were perfect! We were celebrating a very special birthday and our server, Cole, made our evening fantastic. Cole is one of the very best servers we’ve ever experienced!
This Place Is A Must!!!!
Very noisy. Not very accommodating staff except for one manager. Dark! So dark you need a flashlight to eat your food.
Complicated dishes. So many ingredients in them that you don’t know what u r eating.
Who wants to dine in a dark, noisy place? Not me.
Busy, trendy, higher end experience. A bit too dark but the service was excellent and the food quality top notch. Table side guacamole was great.
Meeting up with family.
Loved the Mission, outstanding food, service and atmosphere. The margaritas were top notch and the Brussels sprout tacos were amazing!
