Sip a signature margarita with unique flavors such as cucumber jalepeno or aguacate (yes, we said avocado) as you watch your Tableside Guacamole made to your taste from more than a dozen fresh ingredients.
Home made tortillas, and salsas are made fresh daily to accompany an assortment of meats and seafood prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor. And save room for dessert including our pumpkin bread pudding or expresso churros.

the blueberry banana pancakes were amazing but i wish it had said that there was bacon on the pancakes because one of the girls i was eating with is vegetarian and ate a pancake with bacon and she didn’t realize it because there wasn’t a ton of light in the restaurant but other than that it was amazing:)
Food was really good, but definitely pricey (that’s expected for the establishment though). It is way too loud in the restaurant with their music. I would recommend sitting outside if you want to talk to the people you’re with. Service was A+
Love the tableside guacamole and the margaritas. Friendly, prompt service. Excellent tacos. Ran out of salmon by 630...and replaced at pricier swordfish, which was only bummer.
The Mission was very nice inside but very dark. Hard to read a menu. The food was good especially the guacamole made at the table. We had the flat iron steak, it was very good but it only came with 3 fried cheese balls, I expected more for $30 not a full meal for 1 person. I've seen it now and might go back for a drink and guac.
Normally, this is my absolute favorite restaurant in Scottsdale. The food was good as always, parts were exceptional. However, we were seated on the back patio (after requesting an inside table) right next to the closet where bussers kept going in
And out of. I recognize that it’s only a “request”, but I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance of our reservation. We had 3 kids with us, and not sure if that added to the table we received. As we dined 3-4 flies constantly landed on our food as we tried to swipe them away. Mosquitos, crummy table... all in all it was super disappointing. Mission is not cheap, and I’m happy to pay for the incredible food. But walking out with a $200 bill for that experience was tough to swallow.
Reserved a table a week in advance as we know it books up here. It’s close seating we expected that but the hostess sat us at this tiny two seater behind the hostess stand. We couldn’t even get into the booth side without moving the table. There were rags and cleaning supplies within arms reach from the table. If the hostess bent over she’d bump me. It was ridiculous. All the servers congregated there and the phone kept ringing. When I expressed my desire to move and how ridiculous to expect anyone to sit there, the hostess was extremely rude. She said fine grab your menu and waters follow me. I’d also like to add that there were several other available tables. Once we were moved we had great service from Hannah and great table side guacamole.
I have been to the Mission multiple times and have a wonderful experience every time I’m there. Service and food is always amazing. However this time around the service was a bit lack luster from our server. She was very pushy and all over the place to be honest. Leaving my friends and I quite uncomfortable and confused. Other than that, food was great! My friend’s were both there for the first time and LOVED the food.
Very dark... needed phone light to read menu!
Very loud, heard the conversations at the adjacent tables better than i could hear my husband!
The food was exceptional as was our server, Hanna! We had the table-side guacamole, Mexican street corn, mahi mahi tacos, pork shoulder tacos, mission fries, and espresso churros. Every dish was top notch. The food just made me happy!
Great Service. Great Food! Server was awesome. Her recommendations we perfect. She know food!
Beautiful restaurant with professional and friendly service. We were seated on the back patio which was quite nice in celebration of my birthday. The restaurant is fairly dark so that was my only con, but I understand it sets the ambiance. The spicy hibiscus margarita was delicious! The food itself was great. I thought the table-side guacamole was fun, but I've definitely had better. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a nice place to celebrate.
Amazing! 28th anniversary celebration with our daughters!
We were celebrating my daughters recent engagement. Food and service were great but the restaurant was very dark and warm. Will wait to go again when the weather is cooler.
We have dined at the Mission many times in the past. This time it was a bad experience. When we came in the lights were so low we couldn't see where we were going. Some hip-hop music was blaring so loud we could not hear the hostess or each other. The conditions inside were so bad we requested to move outside to the patio despite the temperature being in the 100s. The service was outstanding on the patio. The food had a few shortcomings. The pork belly tacos for two was about 1/3 fat. This was not the experience we have had at the Mission in the past.
Service: It's a good place with good staff. The manager is very friendly and approachable. He cares more about the people than his position. The waiters all help each other (you can tell there's a team attitude).
Environment:They have good music going. It's a little dark inside (saw lots of older folk using flashlights to the read the menu).
Food: The meat is very fatty (for the health inclined folk) but cooked extremely extremely well. I got pork tacos. Incredible tortillas too.
Tip: Make a reservation!!!! It gets booked later in the day.
We loved the Mission, the only bad part is very very dark. Our waitress needed my cell phone to look at my driver's license to see if I was old enough to drink. Everybody had their cell phones on, which kind of ruins the ambiance compared to if they had little lights on the table and the cell phones would not be necessary. our waitress was wonderful and so was the food!
Food was good. However, the restaurant was SO dark you could not read the menu without a cellphone flashlight. When dinner was served, you could not see what you were eating. There was no color, everything served looked brown or dark brown. This impacted all other aspects of the experience.
Great food. Slightly dark and noisy inside but worth the wait
The food is fantastic and the service was great. The lighting in the restaurant was very poor and we all had to use our phones to read the menu and see our food. The staff knows that it is too dark and were constantly reminded guests to watch their step down the ramp area by the hostess stand.
I’m all for ambiance however this was ridiculous. Next time I will sit on the patio where there is actually light.
Told the staff the my girlfriend was gluten free and they served cross contamination food. She got sick at the restaurant. They b Ed a GF menu
Chic restaurant which was highly reccomend. We found it to be more concerned with image then food quality. The cocktails were expensive for their lack of craftsmanship. The food was plated in a precious fashion but missed on flavor devolpment . It was very dark, we like a dimly lit sexy room but it was so dark you couldn't read the menu. Overall the service was prompt and friendly. I'm not sure we'd go back or reccomend it to others who care about their food more than being in "the scene".
Everything was absolutely delicious and our server, Hanna, was the best server I’ve ever had at any restaurant! She made the experience so much more enjoyable and special for our group celebrating a bride to be.
Hostess and wait staff were rude. Awful service. Will never go back.
Overpriced!!! Small portions, not worth value. Food is meh. Back patio has huge black fan eyesore, employees walking in/out back gate, left open to alleyway! Poor experience
Had a wonderful dinner with delicious food. Highly recommend.
Every time we are in Scottsdale, we eat a meal at The Mission. Tonight, my husband and I shared pork tacos and a mixed pepper appetizer. Very tasty.
We sat outside on a gorgeous day and did the Sunday Pig Out, all you can eat pork tacos with all the fixings. Great deal. We also had the tableside guacamole. All of the food was amazing and the drinks weren't bad either. 😉
Great service and food amazing as always!!
The food was excellent and the patio was so quaint! I wish we didn’t live states away as I’d love to go back!
Over-priced for average food
Service was subpar
Pork tacos are out of this world! Service was exceptional and food came out so fast. Table side prepared guacamole was delicious! Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting!
Our dinner at Mission was delicious and food as well as creativity was high quality!! Our server Cole was amazing !!!
4 of us had dinner at The Mission the other evening. We had table side guacamole that was good and fun to share. I had the short rib tacos, my husband had the Brussels sprouts tacos. Both had great flavor. Our dining companions had the scallops and salmon entrees and enjoyed them. I had a blood orange margarita that was so so....not bad, but nothing special for $14. Our complaint is that it was so dark it was hard to read the menu and to see what we were eating. Part of the joy of eating is visual, and that component was completely missing. Maybe it was to be the effect of dining in an old mission.....prior to the invention of electricity.
Exceptional food & ambience. Already planning a return voyage with friends
Our server Abeer was terrific and took care of us all evening.
Food and restaurant were super.
We took family that was in from out of town to the Mission which we’ve been to probably around 25 times over the past few years we live in Arcadia our experience started with the hostess being extremely rude and not sitting us because we were eight minutes early when the entire restaurant was empty because our reservations were at 5:45 she made us wait for the 10 minutes until exactly 545 for us to sit down and proceeded to seat many people before us. Next she proceeded to seat us at a table that was entirely too small for seven people then they moved us and wouldn’t give us an extra table to attach so four of us had to cram in onto one side on the booths the entire time we had dinner the other table that we actually needed no one ever sat at next our waiter came and gave our entire table one menu and said that he was looking for more menus for us now you must remember we had seven people in our group having a very expensive dinner together he proceeded to find menus two at a time and brought them over to the table once we have our menus we couldn’t even read them because it’s so dark in the restaurant which I know that is what you all are going for and that’s fine we used our phones but when the waiter came back he was irritated at how bright our table was with us looking at the phones and tried to place our phones on water glasses to light up the table which was not enough light for us after that we proceeded to get our food which was very average when it usually is absolutely delicious so I’m not sure if it was just an off night for you guys or if this is how the restaurant has become I am hoping that it was just an off night
Celebrating Mother’s Day!
Had a great lunch. I had the pazole which was wonderful, guacamole was also very good. It was beautiful day and we sat outside. Very enjoyable.
The food was very good! I had a glass of Black Magic Cabernet it was not good. They need to improve their wine by the glass selection. It was a little too dark in the restaurant.
Food is really good and service was too. We had to ask to move to the patio as the noise level is so loud inside there is no way to have a conversation with anyone you are dining with! Also the lighting is really strange and it is dark to the point of being distracting.
