The Mission - Kierland Commons
Sip a signature margarita with unique flavors such as cucumber jalepeno or aguacate (yes, we said avocado) as you watch your Tableside Guacamole made to your taste from more than a dozen fresh ingredients.
Home made tortillas, sauces and salsas are made fresh daily to accompany an assortment of meats and seafood prepared on a Plancha or a grill using pecan and mesquite wood that instills a rich flavor. And save room for dessert including our pumpkin bread pudding or expresso churros.

Great vibe had kids service very accommodating a little loud
Congratulations to the architects and design team
Beautiful restaurant and great food. We enjoyed the pork belly tacos and the churro and milkshake dessert. Friendly service.
Been to most of the Kierland Commons restaurants but had not tried the Mission. Man, sorry we were tardy. Think it might be the best restaurant there. Our food was delicious, our waitress excellent and the place was very cool inside. Loved everything about it!
Arrived 15 minutes early to our reservation, very slow, many empty tables. Hostess, with a bad attitude, refused to seat us until our reservation time. We told her we would go somewhere else and she gave me a “no show” on Open Table. Probably will not ever go back.
Had to wait 15 minutes to sit because we were early for reservations. Waitress was great, food was okay but extremely overpriced
We visit Scottsdale often, and this was one of the best meals we have had. Amazing blend of spices and ingredients! Highly recommend the Mission Kieland location
Friend was in town and we had a great time catching up over great cocktails and amazing food. Service was outstanding as always!!!
Food was good but waitress was "too chatty". She talked too much and it was hard to tell her what I wanted because she would never stop.
Also, too much emphasis on "sell-ups". If I want something I will order it. I do not want to be pressured to order something.
Food was mediocre. Extremely small serving sizes. Definitely not worth the money. So many other great restaurant in area with better food and value.
Unfortunately, this restaurant missed the mark. The Maitre'd forgot about us after we checked in leaving us at the bar with premade Margaritas. Not okay for an authentic restaurant.
My meal, the scallops, came out different than mentioned on the menu. The table-side avocado dip was made at the table next to us and there was nobody there!
I will not be returning to this restaurant.
We came to celebrate our anniversary and had a wonderful time. It was a little loud but the food was delicious.
First date 😊
Visited Scottsdale last week and had such a great meal and service (from Brett) that my wife and I went back and had a second fantastic meal and great service from Todd. Dinner menu is diverse and the wine list has plenty of great paring options.
Great food, spectacular in fact. Service was great until we wanted desert and the server was absent. We sat for 20 minutes and didn’t see anybody. Once we finally received our bill we waited and waited again to pay! Too many other great restaurants to try rather than settle for this.
Food was very good but the atmosphere was terrible. I know people talk and enjoy themselves but the noise level is ridiculously loud.
The food and service were nothing to write home about, we will be taking Mission off our places to dine out in Scottsdale. Where there are many other better places to spend your money for an evening dinner out.
We met friends their. Our food was great but our waitress was very clipped and short with us. She new her stuff but had a very rigid personality. No show of friendliness or caring, really. We probably will not return. We love Old Town location.
Wonderful salmon perfectly prepared! I loved my skinny version of the margarita too! Definitely will be bay!
Mission is a very good restaurant, beautiful room, good food but small portions.
The service was not good. Server not attentive nor timely. Very noisy, don't plan on having a conversation.
We enjoyed every minute of our dining experience. The server was very knowledgeable and made recommendations when asked. The young man who made our tableside guacamole was very meticulous and obviously took pride in the end result. The food was all delicious- the only problem is that we don’t live in the area so we have to wait until we are visiting again to come back😂
Food is typically very good here. However, the service has been fairly poor the past 3 times we’ve dined there.
Long wait times between seeing our server, to waiting 15 minutes for drinks to show up with the food for which we ordered them, dirty lates sitting in front of us for a very time after we finished eating, and no one checking on us during our lunch or dinner.
Spent a few days in Scottsdale and this was definitely my favorite meal. Came here for Sunday Brunch and the chilaquiles were amazing! Great service and all around wonderful experience.
I celebrated my birthday there and they made me feel super special! Everything was delicious! Can’t wait to visit again.
Too noisy, too dark, too pricey, menu too trendy. Many better choices all around.
Jaime was our server — he’s excellent. Food was perfect, as always!
I wish you could help with the noise level. At a minimum you could turn the music down a little. (A new selection of music would also help)
Place was busy and noisy. The waiter had the menu memorized and speaking so fast, we could not understand all he was suggesting due to the loud music. Enjoyed the tableside guacamole. The person preparing that dish seemed friendly. My swordfish was not fresh probably frozen.
Base music was all you could hear. Service was slow. Food was good.
Beautiful restaurant! The food was outstanding (including an appetizer “guacamole dip” assembled at the table. We would definitely eat here again!
Great food and amazing staff
Service was very poor. We were in for our daughters birthday and felt very rushed. My husband asked for a glass of wine to have with his steak and it arrived once he had finished his food. We wanted a special evening and we weren’t impressed with the service
Probably the most beautiful restaurant we’ve been in a long time in the Scottsdale area it’s well done
Excellent food and amazing service! The roasted poblano grits were so yummy and the tacos were soooo good!
35 minutes to get seated with a reservation & plenty of open seats. Seated next to loud group when other seats were available. One hour from when we sat down until we got our entree & the kitchen made a mistake. Waiter was very responsive but after a great experience there a year ago, the dining experience was very disappointing.
Awesome food and presentation! Eager to please staff
Wow. The worst service we’ve ever had a restaurant. 20 minutes for water. Waitress kept on making excuses but took 45 minutes before taking our order. then another 20 minutes for drinks and my husband had a beer from a can. We went on a suggestion of a friend and were so disappointed. Skirt steak was so tough s steak knife couldn’t cut through it. Our whole meal was comped but I still would never recommend. Go to old town instead.
We LOVE The Mission! We’re in town once a year and always make it a point to have some meal here. I already can’t wait until next year.
The Mission - Kierland is a great place to get a sampling of the cuisine of Spain, Mexico, Central America and South America. We visit often and have yet to be disappointed. Several types of DELICIOIUS margaritas! Great chips and salsa to start, but don't go there without ordering the Tableside Guacamole! Ask for Juanita, she makes the best guacamole I've evr tasted! The tacos are great (several to choose from). The chorizo porchetta is fantastic! But, my favorite item is the Creekstone Filet! Yummmmmm!
