The Milling Room features seasonal locally-sourced American cuisine by Chef Marcus Ware, served in a sky lit dining room and lively tavern-inspired bar in the heart of the Upper West Side.

-Dining experiences in our restaurant are limited to 75 minutes for parties up to 2 guests and are limited to 90 minutes for parties 3+.
-We are accepting reservations Indoors (Standard) and outdoors.
-Our hours of operation for dinner are Wednesday-Sunday 4:30 pm - 9:30 pm,
-We have a 10 minute grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 10 minutes after your reservation time otherwise, we will release your table.
-We require a credit card to hold this reservation due to limited availability. Any cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation time or no-shows will be charged a $35 per person cancellation fee. The restaurant will modify this based on weather conditions.

To start I had the Roasted Artichoke Soup which was light in flavor but had a pleasing taste. For my main course I had the Ora King Salmon which I requested to be cooked medium rare and it was moist and had a good flavor. The dessert was the only disappointment. It was their version of Sticky Toffee Pudding which did not resemble in appearance or taste the ones I had in Ireland as well as other places in the United States.

Specials of the day were excellent. I was a bit disappointed in the wine by glass selection.
This was our first visit to the Milling Room. I would go back.

Asked for bread four times. Food was great. Hurried service. Two of the six meals came five minutes after everyone else. Gluten free chicken meal was served with pasta and had to be sent back. Expensive for not being perfect

We enjoy brunch here on Mother's Day. Considering how busy it was service was excellent. The dining room is beautiful and the frosted glass ceiling let's in an abundance of natural light. The French Toast was excellent. Also we enjoyed the herb cheese omelet and the Milling Burger. Would definitely try them for dinner in the future.

Perfect pick for the Mother's day brunch. Ambience was beautiful ; of the kind not often seen in restaurants in NYC. Food was excellent and service though good, was a little slow. But let that not stop you from going to this place! This is a gem on the Upper west side! Go and enjoy!

The food, service, and pleasant outdoor seating (during the pandemic) are our reasons for returning to the Milling Room for special occasions. The indoor space is too loud for me. The strip steak was very good, but too expensive compared to the rest of the menu.

Appetizers, Pasta, Salmon tartare, artichoke soup all outstanding. Chicken main course is inspired, and the vegetarian lemon asparagus entrée is a hidden gem. Leave room for the desserts, because the berry vacherin, though tiny, is worth the trip alone, and the others don't disappoint, either.

Love the ambience of the large, high-ceiling room. Tables were spaced apart, smart for COVID-19. Service was just right for frequency without being cloying. Food was “clean,” well-presented, delicious. We told our waiter that it was a little drafty, and a few moments later, he had made the adjustment for us!

I never get to come here enough. It's incredibly charming and good value for the neighborhood, with options for all tastes and needs, delicious cocktails, friendly and knowledgeable wait staff, and a safe, relaxed, elegant atmosphere. Perfect for romantic dinners or intimate catch ups.

I love The Milling Room...it might be my favorite restaurant on the UWS. I ate there on 4/9/21 and it was my first time eating inside since COVID began. It was such a treat! I love the space in the restaurant, with the vaulted ceilings. They also had plastic dividers in between the tables. We never felt like we were near anyone and they were full at 50%. The food was delicious and the service was on point.

Lovely. Other than for my incredible company, the experience was defined by the deliciousness of the food. Everything was spot on... Including the Cabernet Sauvignon from South Africa recommended by the Sommelier. He was passionate and knowledgeable... and he was right. A great experience overall. Will definitely come back, hopefully to be able to dine inside next time.

This was my second visit. I had been there once before the pandemic with a friend. This time, we ordered specials: shared a mushroom dish as appetizer which was good but too big even for two people as it was just mushrooms and nothing else. Main course was the cod that was fresh, with a skin that was browned and seasoned deliciously. But the Brussel sprouts as the only accompaniment were half cooked and not very good. When well done, they can be so delicious but in this case, they were chewy and not well seasoned, leaving the sense of an uncooked kale dish. The ambiance of the Mill Room is wonderful, even in Covid times, and the service was impeccable.
