   We enjoyed our time at the Milling room. We were a few minutes late, but they graciously held our table. Also, I have a garlic allergy, and usually, it is a problem, but they were able to serve me everything I ordered without any problem. Loved the vibes and the ambient. I will go back once I go back to NYC

   We ordered bread because the meal seemed to be taking a long time to arrive. Our waiter asked us if toast was acceptable but I told him not to toast the bread because the two children at the table were starving waiting for our entrees. Unfortunately, our meals beat the bread coming out to the table and the waitstaff could not understand our annoyance with the bread coming out after our entrees. Luckily, the portions of the gnocchi were so minuscule that the late arrival of the bread allowed two of the diners at our table to be somewhat satiated. The chicken, although flavorful, was rubbery and not what we had expected. The bathrooms were nice, although the men’s restroom literally is like a ski jump ramp. The restaurant has a beautiful main dining room which truly is a surprise upon entering.

    We enjoyed the evening very much. The overall experience was very good. My one criticism was that the chocolate raspberry cake, though tasty, was very difficult to eat. It was so hard one couldn’t put a spoon through it.

    I met a friend for brunch at Milling Room, already one of my favorite UWS restaurants. For brunch you get the best of the lovely, light and airy room. The service there is always friendly, warm and attentive without being intrusive. And OMG, I loved my meal - simple poached eggs on a bed of roast Brussels sprouts and heirloom carrots. I skipped the Hollandaise because - well, the obvious reasons. And I didn’t miss it at all. The vegetables were so perfectly roasted and layered. Honestly, I think it’s my new favorite dish.

    First time here and we really like it. The food was excellent and the back room with glass ceiling was cool. We had the gnocchi with truffle mushrooms, the rib eye steak with creamy peppercorn sauce and the roast chicken. All was great.

    I’ve eaten here a bunch but this was far and away the tastiest of all my experiences. Menu was different. Execution was on point. Had a great vibe. I’d be happy to go back.

    Ambience is cool and interesting. Our waiter went out of his way to get me the Salmon Tartar without cilantro, which was one of the best I’ve ever had. Everything was divine and I would put Milling Room on “ your must try” list .

    Ruth looked after us very well! We had limited time for a bite to eat and our timeline was met perfectly and we did not feel rushed. We'll be going back to The Milling Room for a more leisurely meal as soon as we can.

    I have never had a disappointing meal at the Milling Room. I always exceeds my expectations. I highly recommend it. We had the octopus, excellent. A lovely salad with pears and hazelnuts, I had the duck breast, cooked to perfection. There were four of us and we each ordered something different. The chicken, amazing the branzino with saffron, and the short rib. All so delicious. I can’t wait to go back.

    Took them 30 minutes after the reservation time to seat us. Also included a pre fixed menu for Valentines which they didn’t communicate in the open table’s messages / description. And the manager was very aggressive communicating that they didn’t have any flexibility. On the bright side, the hosts, waiters/waitresses are awesome and welcoming and the food is great.

    Our server acted as though we were a chore. She was rude and unapologetic. Our reservation was at 7:15 but we didn’t get our drinks until 7:55 and only then after speaking to the manager. We tipped her 18% despite the bad service and she couldn’t be bothered to thank us. She simply walked away.

    A delightful place to have dinner. I found the music volume too loud and asked for it to be lowered twice. It was a little hard to hear conversation at our table. Otherwise I loved the atmosphere.

    This place used to be great. Came last night for my birthday with another couple. It was the worst service I've had in a long time. We had to ask the wait staff to clear our dinner plates, and another waiter for dessert menus. Our waitress only came back to give us our check. Service has been going down over the last couple of years, but last night was the worst. I will not be coming back.

    Executive Chef Ryan Cantwell is a culinary wizard. My wife and I agreed that this was one of the best meals we ever had. From presentation to taste was 5 star . His menu is amazingly created. Ali our server was delightful and funny. His knowledge of the Chef's creations was helpful in guiding us to our choices. I highly recommend The Milling Room and we will certainly return.
