My wife ordered the pork belly which was a small portion of pork with gravy and potatoes. No crackling. Salad was placed on the plate amongst the gravy. I had the parmi. It and my chips were cold and additionally my chips tasted old and dry. My salad was in a cup which would have been a preferred serving compared to my wife’s salad and gravy.

The food was good, but unfortunately it took a long time for our order to be taken from when we first sat down at the table.

4 people. 3 x flathead were moust but batter was soggy. 1 x steak, perfect. Salad was disappointing. Way too much lettuce for rest of salad. Overall a good meal.

We are regulars at Cab Sports once a week when we can. One main reason is the quality of staff. However the menu has not changed except for the occasional line each month. We have now changed seasons how about changing the menu to keep up to date.

Easy to book a table. Booking and service progress tracked accurately by their system. Meals were high quality and service the same

The food overall was quite disappointing compared to previous visits over the past 6 years. The oysters kilpatrick which my husband & I shared, was drowned in sauce. I ‘think’ the oysters themselves were quite nice but unfortunately they could not shine as they were overpowered by the thick, sweet sauce, that was difficult to remove. I had the pork belly for mains. It was an odd combination of flavours that did not really work. The pork belly and the crackling were great, but it was served with a tomato, red onion & cucumber salad that had none of the acidity to cut through the fat of the pork belly. It was in fact very bland. The supposed jus served with the pork was just a pork gravy… way too thick. An Asian bent would have been much more welcome, but it could also have been served with roast vegetables, to take best advantage of the gravy! My husband had the rib fillet (medium rare) with mashed potato and salad. The steak was cooked nicely but the mash was dreadful as it was lump and gluey. The service as always was brilliant. We love all the wait staff and on this occasion we had the lovely Jenny looking after us. We will be back as it is our ‘local’ but the food needs to get back to where it was a few years back.

Service was good and prompt. Unfortunately this visit 3 out of the 4 meals ...Pork Belly and Steak not that great. I had Honey Soya Chicken and rice it was lovely.
