The Mill Restaurant
Appropriately named after the sawmill that was originally established by John Finlay in 1897, The Mill Restaurant and Caboolture Sports Club was built on the very grounds that once processed timber for the region.
Enjoy a great range of express specials from the Mill Express for lunch and dinner in conjunction with the a-la-carte main menu!
My husband and I often come in for diner. Always happy with the service and food. Sunday night we took some family members with us and we had a good night. They enjoyed the experience too.
The meals were fine but the line up to order was very long, about half hr wait to order. The childrens room has now moved to the other side of the hotel and next to a smoking room. We were there at 5pm and were made to put our name down on a waiting list and given a buzzer for when it was our childrens turn to play. In 2 and a half hrs they never got to play. Overall very unhappy with the way this place is set up.
The ambiance was friendly and welcoming. The staff were accommodating and helpful. There was a buy 1 get 1 free deal making the 200g steak only $10 which even though it was from the hotplate was good value.
Followed by the comedy club a great evening.
Unfortunately the salmon was dry from being overcooked, and the salad tasted a bit funny, chips were great..
My daughters meal was also too dry and the prawns stuffed in the steak made them taste like prawn
Best steak i have had, and a great price to boot!, cooked to perfection.
The place was noisy , expensive. The food was below average. Coles cafeteria with Hilton prices.
Great value and always great atmosphere . Booking recommended especially Wednesday night !
Thanks for a lovely easy to book dining experience. Our only fault was the chips for the buffet meals were cold by the time we got back to the table however, the children's meals chips were hot and delicious. Such a lovely place to have a family get together.
Great food - 2 for 1 deal great value
Great food always, love the atmosphere and value for money
Great place for children and meals for them are good value
My tapas seafood was very disappointing oysters not fresh prawns so tough and the chips were awful would not order again
My Mum treated us all and was upset with the food quality
Will not return for a while maybe wait for my mum to visit from NSW
I don't mind going here for ease of dining out. Caboolture doesn't have many places where the whole family can go for a meal, at reasonable prices. close to home and food generally good. I think I prefer the bistro, rather then the restaurant though, due to time to receive meal.
Our experience with the actual restaurant was fantastic but the reception staff at the front of the Caboolture Sports Club were very vague with directions to the restaurant and also the general running of it. This isn’t the restaurants fault, very much reception staff, but could the restaurant advise reception staff of better directions. We ended up near the pizza cafe as directed, then had to walk pretty much the entire club to find the restaurant. Lucky the club is small.
While we enjoyed ourselves and our meals, my husband and I both ordered our steaks medium rare, his came out perfectly done and mine was verging on well done. The spot light directly over the table was a bit harsh, I don’t know if you can dim them a bit or maybe set the tables off centre. Staff were friendly and efficient. We would definitely come back.
Pork belly was lovely salad was superb. Service was nice and quick as well.
Had a great night except it was cold where we were sitting and my dinner went cold very quickly. We had trouble lighting the candles on the cake due to the cold air conditioning blowing on the table. The service was great and the staff very friendly.
Food was great & an impressive number of gluten free options. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Prices good. We went Saturday night which was very busy. Glad I booked. There was a long wait for food which they told us when we ordered. It was noisy due to how busy it was. Overall though it was a good night.
We had such a lovely meal. With 3 young boys the kids eat free is great value. My partner and I had the chicken mignon and garlic prawns. It was delicious. Thank you, we had a lovely evening.
The best quality cooked steak , it was amazing and the salad was a simple garden salad with a beautiful light dressing, can’t speak highly enough of The Mill we will definitely be back for more.
I can see why Cab Sports won club of the year, love this place
The food was excellent. Apart from waiting so long in line to get served it was very good. The service was good. The noise was huge. If you are in the restaurant you cannot hear the person on the microphone. Overall was very good. Would we go there again hell yes.
North Lakes is better, service is better, and food was fresher.
The food tasted great and the serves were generous and well priced. I had trouble finding staff to show me what table was reserved for me. Overall great value.
Food was excellent but serving size way too much. Neither of us could eat more than half that plate and that was pushing it!
I really like the Mill, but they need to think about having more than one person at the register . Waiting 10/15 mins in a line to be served is ridiculous.
The upgrades are amazing! Doesn’t even feel like a sports club!
Nice meal and pleasant surroundings. Well worth taking the time to visit/
Food was delicious. But the wait was very long. We waited over an hour for meals and were surrounded by some rather intoxicated people as it had gotten quite late.
We would definitely return but would try and book an earlier table.
The menu was well presented and had a nice mix of seafood, meat and pasta. I had the grilled barramundi and it was done to perfection.
I liked the option of having a side salad instead of chips and the dessert bar had wide variety of sweets. The Blueberry Cheesecake was wonderful.
All up, it was a lovely dining experience.
Over a 1 hour wait for main meals.
Not good enough
Went Wednesday night for 2 for 1 deal. Service was really good but food was not up to scratch. Will try on another night to see if it was a one off though. Overall club was good, clean and had a very good vibe
Poor disgusting service and food! No one seems to take any pride in working at this establishment
Celebrating Losar - Tibetan/Nepali new year.
Apart from the wait for food we had a lovely evening. Food was well presented with very good proportions.
First time here since moving around the corner! Sorry we didn't come sooner.. place was awesome, great deals & even better food!! We've become regulars :)
Food was tasteless and costed a bit more than expected
We had the gnocchi as usual, and now that it is finished, we will be a while before we are back. Please put it on the menu permanently. We all just loved it.
This is the second time I have eaten at the Caboolture Sports Club. I have found it very good value for money. Very good surrounds. Very helpful staff. Overall 5/5
Have been several times for dinner can not complain about the food is always good
Size off meals is excellent
Good meals and we all had a nice time
The Mill would have to rate as one of the best quality food outlets my wife and I have visited in a
long time . Value for money it rates 10/10 and we certainly recommend it to anyone we know.
The staff are one of the best assets the Club has and certainly make any evening very pleasant.
Just keep up the good work and we will not leave you.
Cheers Clarry and Jan.
