Classic Irish cuisine from chef Sean Smith in the Kildare countryside.

Sean’s mouth-watering new menu is as always sourced locally with some ingredients even grown on the very grounds of the Cliff at Lyons Estate. Food lovers will enjoy classics such as Roast Rib of Beef, Cherry Valley Duck Breast and Oven Baked Baby Turbot with sides of seasonal vegetables, mini Seafood platters and of course for something a bit sweet, Whiskey & Orange Ice Cream or Chocolate Fondant with Salted Caramel Ice Cream.

The Mill restaurant is the heart of Cliff at Lyons, with huge double-height ceilings, warm open fire and windows that open up to a terrace beside the mill race and waterfall. Here, you will find a relaxed style of dining where it is easy to enjoy a lunch or dinner with friends or family. The illuminated waterfall provides a unique back drop to this airy and spacious room.

                                                    Wonderful experience except for one little thing - I asked for tap water (this is only thing I drink) and I was very annoyed to find out - after the fact - that I was charged €5.50 per bottle of water - was it tap water??? I don’t know - was it? When I was in service industry many years ago, it was illegal to refuse or to charge for tap water!

                                                    Going to The Mill was a superb experience fir our 3 year anniversary we were well look after, we started with a cocktail in the lounge before dinner , then went down to beautiful dining room with the sound if the cascading water of the mill just outside. Lovely dinner, best guinness bread I ever tasted. Service is discreet and attentive. Its not cheap but well worth it for special occasion

                                                    The Mill is such a lovely escape from reality! The drive up is beautiful! The menu has something for everyone! I had the scallops and John Dory, it was excellent! Staff are friendly without being too intrusive!

                                                    Dining at The Mill, Lyons estate, Kildare, is a lovely experience. The venue is beautiful, food is delicious & staff attentive but not invasive. Highly recommend for a special occasion.
