The hamburger and the special fish for the day (striped bass) were very good. The service was also responsive. The view is exceptional. The table distance between tables is very good.

An inventive menu befitting the new Rockefeller wing and fresh curatorial approaches we experienced the day we went. Bravo. Pricey but we felt inspired to treat ourselves after the visual and intellectual buffet in the galleries.

We had a lovely lunch at the Metropolitan Museum Dining Room. The lobster “roll” was delicious and filling although it was an appetizer. My friends enjoyed the salmon entrée and soft shell crabs. For dessert, we loved the rhubarb Pavlova. Service was excellent and they did not rush us at all.

It is a lovely room and conveofor a museum day. The food is good, although the menu is limited, and it feels very expect for what it is. Service is slow.

Excellent food and ambience. The beet salad was a standout, but everything was good. My mushroom and fresh pea pasta needed salt and was uneven in temperature, but otherwise it was a wonderful lunch.
