    First of all, we had a great evening and plan to return next tine there’s a special occasion. Our seats were comfortable, we had a great view of the room, and during the day we would have also seen Central Park. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. I would have liked mine to be hot when it arrived, but I chose to let that go. The wait staff were amazing and I know they would have corrected it. Three of them toffees to take a photo for our anniversary, and made sure we were pleased with the result. They brought us a lovely Happy Anniversary dessert.

    Service was fine. Given the price, we expected more from the food. Quantity was fine. Our chicken was somewhat over done and came with an indescribable sauce. Charcuterie board came with a lot of confit and just did not look appealing.

    Sparse ambience but wonderful cuisine. Ordered a steamed black sea bass that was succulent and well presented. My wife had the crab cakes which were also excellent.

    Unfortunately, the service and experience do not do justice to the lovely setting and great chef. It was lacking in sophistication and ease. The view is lovely, so if you reserve well in advance you may score a window seat -- although there were multiple tables that came available next to the window, and we had requested one, sadly we were not given the opportunity to enjoy one, instead they were held for regulars and donors who had been given the private option to reserve and have those tables. I explained it was a very poignant occasion to celebrate my recently deceased father, but was not given one of the available windowside tables. I adore Bill Telepan's food, however the institutional setting has lowered it to something lackluster. Our server was friendly, but the service in general lacked personality and confidence. Many servers were wearing masks on their chins, which is pointless and inelegant, and the clearing / resetting was poorly timed and brusque.

    Food and waiter were excellent. I didn’t grant a higher rating because we were seated by the kitchen door. When I asked for another table(there were over six unoccupied), we were told that those tables had been reserved. We had a leisurely dinner with fantastic food and drink and excellent service. Needless to say, when we left, those unoccupied tables were still without diners. If that’s the way they treat members, I’d hate to see how they treat people who are not members.

    To begin, we were seated near the large windows with a view of the park; my guests were so impressed. Grace our server was wonderful helping to advise gluten free items for our party. Not only was the food delicious (beet salad and chicken were my choices), the attentive service and atmosphere made the meal very special.

    Our group of 3 arrived about 5 minutes early and were seated immediately. The tables were well spaced, with plenty of room. The view of Central Park was lovely from our seats. Our waiter was very friendly but could have been more attentive. After placing our orders, the waiter asked if we wanted bread and butter and we said "Yes." He forgot to bring it to us. Since we were absorbed in our conversation, we didn't realize that the bread was missing until halfway through our meal. Our meals arrived fairly quickly, which was nice. One order was for the Grass-Fed BLT Burger (28.00) The plate had a nice mound of fries to accompany the burger and the diner liked it. One order was for the 898 Squash plate (27.00) The diner said that it was delicious. One order was for the Manet/Degas Poisson (45.00). Of the 3 meals, this one was somewhat disappointing. The plate had a small piece of sole, which was tasty but had a chunk of lemon in it, a tiny piece of lobster which tasted good but begged for a bit more, a small scoop of mashed potatoes also tasting good, and about 10 string beans which were standard fare. The skimpy servings stood out in contrast to the other diner's plates. Considering the price of this meal, there should have been a more generous serving of at least the vegetables. We also ordered a bottle of white Alsace wine (60.00), which was very nice. Overall, this was an enjoyable setting with good to adequate meals which could have been even better if the waiter had been more attentive to service and the kitchen more attentive to the portions on plates. I would return in the future but wouldn't say that this was a favorite restaurant. It's best feature is its location in the Met.

    Excellent menu options with ability to vary, i.e. adding steel trout protein to an app salad for entree. Extremely happy. A bit pricey but you get quality. We will come back for more masterpieces in culture and sustenance.

    From the time you step off the elevator, you feel you've entered into a delightful environment. The restaurant did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and professional. The menu is designed to please most pallets, without being overwhelming. Our waiter went above & beyond to make our experience top off a wonderful afternoon at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

    I requested the window seating and even though there were many tables available the host didn’t provide one for us. She didn’t give us a clear reason why we couldn’t have one. There was a lot of noise in the restaurant. The food was not very good. Overall, the service or the food was satisfactory. I don’t plan on visiting again.

    Go for the view… Otherwise I would not recommend this restaurant. Unfortunately the “welcome” by the very rude and condescending “hostess” set the tone and made us just wanting to leave right away. Fortunately we ended up having a friendly waiter and lunch was ok.

    Very disappointing! Don’t go at 3pm because they won’t make the famous Madeleine’s- they should it take it the menu then!. Dinner was lacking low portion. Won’t go back not worth the money.

    The seating was the best. Plenty of space and privacy between tables. The wait staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful. The pricing was expensive, but not a surprise given the ambience and view. In all, a very pleasant dining experience. Next time I will try the members balcony. RAG
