Limited menu, terrible cocktails. Didn’t feel like Mercer.
We had a lovely dinner. The fried artichoke appetizer was really great!
We were treated very well by the management! Thank you for making our experience a good one!
I took my friends to The Mercer OTR to celebrate their birthday. This was my first trip back since it was reopened with the new menu. This was my husband and my favorite place prior to Covid. We have been hesitant to return since the changes. I recently saw the bruschetta back on the menu and decided to reserve for our girls night out.
Dinner was still amazing! The bruschetta is exactly as I remembered. The risotto also thankfully returned to the menu. The new dishes were delicious. I still miss the porterhouse steak but I was not disappointed. My husband was so jealous. Looks like a date night is in our future!
The food was excellent and the restaurant is beautiful! Our server was attentive but could have been more knowledgeable about their new menu and better at keeping our wine glasses filled. Would recommend!
I like the new “Bistro vibe”
Pre-FCC dining as our parking pass is in the Mercer garage. We enjoyed dining in the bar. Great service and food. There were quite a few FCC fans dining and timing worked well. We will be back before the next match.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner - the pappardelle bolognese and the salmon were both delicious, and Dominic provided excellent service. Also enjoyed the Mercer Manhattan, very tasty. The bar area looked to be a cool place to stop in just for drinks. We'll definitely be back.
Wow. The Mercer is back en force.
The bar is real.
The food is divine.
The service is professional and engaged.
I plan to be here several times a month.
Caned chairs just like Parisian restaurants/bistros, and pieces of the same ambiance.
Totally comfortable yet chic interior.
Recommend the salmon, salads, and cocktails.
Overall, dining at The Mercer was a lovely experience for our anniversary dinner. The service was impeccable and warm and attentive but not intrusive. The dishes were well-balanced and mostly right-sized. I do have to admit that I probably went in with unreasonably high expectations about the food. Just speaking for me personally, although the food was lovely, the menu felt a bit small and the main courses and flavors were not as innovative as I'd hoped--again, I think I probably went in with unrealistically high expectations.
That being said, I would absolutely go again and explore the menu a bit more.
Small menu, limited choices - a bit underwhelming. However, the food we ordered was very good.
We’ve been here many times in the past. We’ll give it a few months before returning.
Glad it’s back - with great craft cocktails, friendly staff and tempting menu, so we had to try multiple items to share.
Great food and drinks
Excellent food with a nice, quiet atmosphere. Our server was attentive and our food came at a good pace so we didn’t feel rushed.
Outstanding restaurant. Food was amazing and the services were overall outstanding.
Service was excellent. Salmon was amazing.
The banquets with glass partitions between them make for a quiet and cozy setting. There were 4 of us eating 3 different entrees and all were happy with them. Salads were especially good. And don't miss the Allez baguettes with salted butter!
We have been patrons of the Mercer for years. We celebrate special occasions there as well as dine before attending the Ensemble. We were happy to hear they had reopened and decided to celebrate our release from the shut dwn at the Mercer.
I called to find that most of out favorite ppl were no longer employed there but we were interested to explore the changes. Our server, Dante, was very gd and the food was excellent from apps to main course. But, when we got out checks we weere amazed. One Stoli drink was $17.00 the cost for the bread outrageous and the app?? The coffee was not up to their previous standard (no French press) and weak.
I ask to speak to the manager and Matt came to our table and actually LISTENED to our issues and he made it right. This is very gd customer service and we will be back.
Delicious food though I felt that warm olives should never be pitted, and the black ones should be more like unpitted kalamata. I’m a picky olive person.
Great service and wonderful atmosphere. But they need to add more new things to menu. Food is always good.
I loved The Mercer pre-pandemic and was excited to go back. I was pretty disappointed. Mediocre food for a premium price. A very small Amish chicken breast with a sparse sprinkle of mushrooms and asparagus and 5 not very tasty gnocchi for $29. Bread service consisted of 3 small slices for 2 people. I dunno - I hope they get it back to where they were in 2019...
The entire experience was phenomenal. Shoutout to the new bar manager Enisa!
So glad to be back at the Mercer. Always good
Perfect in every way!!!
The staff went above and beyond, with great service and recommendations. Food was wonderful and I was so glad to see them open.
Fries are still some of the best in town!! Glad they are re-opened.
The revamped menu is a winner! We were a party of three and we all ordered different items. Every dish was amazing. Service was great. Love the ambiance. The Mercer is now one of our favorite restaurants!
Excellent food and a fantastic staff. Delish cocktails too!
This was our first visit back since the pandemic. Our service from A. J. was excellent as was the dinner.
Here for a graduation dinner. Service was very friendly and attentive without being too much, food and wine were great with servers who knew everything about it, ambiance was good. Worth the trip!
Open table app showed more vegan/vegetarian options.
When we got to the restaurant, they actually had no entrees or options. What they did have was salads and vegetable side items. I was let down by this.
Other than that, enjoyed the experience.
Server, Hannah, was attentive, knew menu very well, and was friendly without being hovering. Good job Hannah!
GM stopped by a couple times to make sure all was well, thank you. Food was cooked perfectly and came out of kitchen hot and well presented. We were impressed.
This place is dead. There is no atmosphere and the service unfortunately was bad. Not a single vegetarian dish on the menu (besides the normal salad options).
Food was just “ok”.
Birthday celebration. Melissa is absolutely amazing and extremely attentive. Great food and atmosphere. Made you feel welcome
Fine menu offerings, helpful, attentive, not intrusive service, delicious food and beverages.
Fabulous food, service, friendly staff
Our server was not very prompt. She forgot about the butter and the special salt with the bread.
Amazing experience. The head chef must be a genius. From the service to the actual food: 10/10! Thank you. My girlfriend and I were impressed.
It was good to back in otr. Drinks and service were outstanding. The food wasn’t quite as good as I expected but it was still a good meal. It was great to be back in one of our favorite places.
