We go a couple times a year for a little night out from the kids and it never disappoints!
Our sever was amazing & may be the best service we have ever had. Never once did we ask for anything!!
Great place. Great food.
Wonderful special dinner and great server..Stacey
Ava did a great job!
The experience was nice. My only complaint is that I paid $40 to get roses and the roses looked really cheap like roses you’d get from gas station. Some were limp and it wasn’t really pretty like I expected it to be.
Other than that the food was good and so were the desserts.
We've periodically dined at The Melting Pot - Wilmington DE for close to 20 years and have visited other Melting Pots across the country. This was our first visit to the Wilmington franchise since the pandemic and the experience has declined significantly. The quality of meats/cuts of meats has dropped while prices remain high. Service quality has also significantly declined. Staffing levels are well below normal and the existing staff is harried and stretched thin. Tables remained uncleared for long periods of time and servers were overtaxed to be able to reasonably take care of patrons. This fundamentally alters the dining experience - to the point where the price now exceeds the perceived value. I hope they get these issues resolved - we usually love the restaurant and experience.
lots of fun but menu is confusing initially. service was excellent which saved the day.
Goodfood. Nice experience.
We had excellent service despite a reservation that was fairly late. The waitstaff was wonderful to us, and we had a blast.
Very poor service and reduced amenities made for a night that simply couldn’t be saved. This location used to be much better.
We were seated 15 minutes before our reservation in a cute corner booth. The food was amazing!!! 10/10 food. Our waiter was awesome too(shout out to Jake!) and honestly made the evening for us. A little bit expensive, but for special occasions, definitely worth it.
Went for an anniversary dinner and we were pleasantly surprised to receive a "happy anniversary" card from the staff. It was a nice touch. Everything else was fantastic, from the food to the service. Everyone we encountered was great.
Jake, our server, was outstanding! He was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. Definitely will be back!
The food was good and the service was outstanding.
Are server was signing a lot and made us feel like we were bothering him. The receptionist and manager had great personality and were very helpful
My daughters enjoy the best and made her birthday beautiful
Awesome! We love going here for date night !
Service was poor whenever we ordered drinks or refills 15-30 min wait. Desserts missing ingredients and was told couldn’t find them and that was it no offer to change it up or if we were okay with it. Server would say if you need more of the dippers let me know but would never return in time to find out if we did or not and if we waited the cheese or chocolate would of burned
Great place for a wedding anniversary date night, always great food, great drinks and wonderful service.
Our server Ava was terrific from the start. Very nice and professional. She was a little overwhelmed being busy, so we had a couple hiccups w timely service, BUT I have to be honest, this wasn't to her doing. She was very pleasant
Everything was great as always. The filet was very tough and chewy. We did let the manager know
What an amazing experience! We will definitely be going back again.
We had a Great time.
The French break for the cheese was stale. We brought it to the attention of the manager. Otherwise everything was great
We had a great time and the food was delicious! Highly recommend.
I've worked for Melting Pot and frequent as many locations as possible and I gotta say, this one's the best. We had one of the last available reservations for MDW- 8:45pm, and being in the industry, our party of 4 was very aware of the work ahead of our server at the end of, what we assumed, was a very long work week. You can tell a lot about an establishment by how the servers respond to the pressures of their job and our server, Jake, was hands down the coolest and most easy-going server I've ever had, the manager was sweet enough to drop some Free chocolate covered strawberries at our table, which was so unbelievably generous. We were there for 2.5 hours and left with a new bestie named Jake! If you're lucky enough to get him as a server, ask him to make his special *off menu* Dark Chocolate Snickers fondue. Actually, just let him do his thing with everything you order, you will not be disappointed!
Wonderful, quiet evening with great food.
Love this place.
Little pricey but a good time...
A wonderful family night out to celebrate my son’s graduation. Staff was efficient without rushing and made you feel welcome. Definitely a splurge, but we all had a great time.
Everything was excellent
It was our 48th anniversary and I have an allergy to garlic and wine and the manager came over and made sure everything that I had did not have any garlic or wine in it very considerate very thoughtful and our waitress was very sweet and professional and she had only started working that week five stars loved the whole experience!!
My wife an I had a really enjoyable time, the waiter was over the top accommodating... the food was an is as always delicious. Would come back a thousand times. Not only for a special occasion the Melting Pot is great for any occasion or just having a meal with friends...
We’ve been coming to the melting pot for years, but this was the first time since COVID. The menu has seen a lot of changes which were welcome. What was not welcome was the diner style service we received. Granted, it was our servers second night on her own, but you would still have expected her to be better trained.
We sat down with drinks from the bar, so when we both ordered a water to start, our waitress seemed annoyed. Came back quickly enough with the waters but then disappeared for entirely too long. When she made her way back to our table, the announcement came that this was her second night on her own. Expectations now lowered, we proceeded to order. Fairly regular order for us at The melting pot. Classic cheddar fondue, a few salads and entrees directly off the menu. Nothing special, but we said we would not be having chocolate for dessert. Again, she scoffed.
Cheese course came out and was splattered all over the table. The waitress said she’s quite messy when she makes the cheese. Before the cheese was even warm enough to eat, our salads appeared. Seems like this will be a quick second course. We abandoned the cheese to eat the salads and ordered some drinks, knowing the cheese will stay warm. The waitress came back with the drinks and started to remove the cheese accompaniments. We informed her we weren’t quite done and to please leave them. That may have been a mistake. She went missing again for a good 15 minutes, but did show up with our full meal, salad plates and cheese still on the table, but no broth to cook anything in.
Cheese was cleared, along with salads and the cooking broth was brought out, ALONG WITH THE CHECK. Up to this point, I was going to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was just new, but brining the check before we even had a chance to begin dinner was the last of it. I guess no more drinks could be ordered. At least she told us there was no rush.
We did make a point to stop and tell a manager. Hope it helped.
Typically we visit another nearby location but this time we ended up here. The Melting Pot is visited by us for a number of reasons, such as for celebrating special events to everyday dinning. This time we indicated we were celebrating a birthday, which was not acknowledged in any way what so ever. Not even a “happy birthday!” or “thank you for celebrating with us!”. The food was not as flavorful as the many other countless times I’ve visited the franchise at other locations. The cheese seemed really lacking flavor. The server was kind and fun but did not offer an experience that one would expect at The Melting Pot. Just seemed a bit lackluster. I think the professionalism of all, including the hosts and management, should be improved. I will not be back as there is simply no reason to come back. I expect more of The Melting Pot. I will ensure I visit the location closest to me. While it wasn’t all bad, several small, important details of the experienced were missed, which were disappointing. As always, the food was fresh and overall delicious.
Bring your ID if you want a drink. I am 74 years old and had to show ID to be served. Probably should not have bothered. The portion of gin was minuscule. Sent it back. First time doing that. Not sure if the issue was with the server or the bartender. The server was inexperienced, so she deserves a pass.
Decided to head up here for our anniversary dinner. Best Decision ever. Did the big night out for 2. Kaitlyn was our server, with all the jokes and a wealth of knowledge about the menu. Husband said Ceaser salads are ruined for him since their Ceaser is so freaking good. Pine nuts were awesome!! Loved the Teriyaki sirloin, lobster tail, and chicken for our main course. Chose the turtle for the dessert and so worth it!! Candied pecans!! Fantastic night. Super friendly staff. Easy parking.
This is our 3rd time coming to this location and it just keeps getting better! The food was delicious, great atmosphere, Waiter Jake was DA BEST, The drinks on point! Definitely will be back again!!
The food and service were amazing! Melting pot has never let us down! Thank you!
As always a wonderful dinner. Our server Jake was great. The food was amazing.
