We are big melting pot fans but tonight did not live up to the usual standard. Despite making our reservation a month ago we were sat at a table in the lobby. We asked about a different table and were told that was all that was available. During the course of our dinner many other tables sat unused. We could have easily been sat at a table within the restaurant where we weren’t freezing by the door or had people hovering over us waiting for their table. Also, we have gluten and dairy allergies which MP ALWAYS takes such good care of and tonight our server did not take the usual precautions we’re used to. Had we not been aware of what we can and cannot have we would have absolutely eaten things we shouldn’t have. This is not the typical standard that melting pot prides itself on.

My first time here but other people in my group have been here before. Great experience it’s definitely something different than anywhere else in Pittsburgh. Food was great. Party of 8 they accommodated us all to be at same tables put together. You do spend a lot of time because it’s a 4 course meal which was nice. I really wish I would have remembered our servers name because she was amazing!! I did order the birthday package which came with a teddy bear balloons, box of chocolate and it said it was supposed to come with a picture and frame but the host only took our group pic on my phone.. so not sure why there website says it comes with a photo and frame… we did run into a bad start in the beginning but the manager fixed it right away! Overall I would definitely go back.

It was a neat experience-however, my friend whom sat across from me had steam in her face for at least 2 hours out of the 3 hours we were there from the pots on the center of the table. The bathrooms were disgusting-trash over flowing, toilet paper ran out and one of the stalls was unusable because it needed cleaned and apparently there was no staff assigned to the bathroom although I was in there with a staff member who could see how bad it was. For the price I think that is unacceptable.

This was our first time eating at the melting pot and it was wonderful! Elijah was out water and he was phenomenal! My husband had celiac disease and he was very knowledgeable in the allergy and what was safe. The food was really delicious! We will definitely be coming back.

We had a really great experience at The Melting Pot. Our server was very knowledgeable in gluten free foods and was able to easily substitute when something wasn’t gluten free. The Melting Pot is probably the safest I have felt eating in the last 17 years since being diagnosed with celiacs. They even have gluten free bread, cookies, and brownies, which is so rare!

Ate here with my girlfriend for Valentine’s Day and I can say that this place never disappoints. Their food is some of the best out there. I do have to say it is a little pricey but you do get a lot for your buck. If you are looking for a restaurant that has really good food and a really good experience then this is definitely the place to go.
