We enjoyed our dinner! Service was slightly slow,we wish we were checked on more but its okay! It was quiet and thats all we cared about!
Melting Pot was the only place with available reservations when we decided to go out to dinner on New Years Eve, grateful for that . Hostess, waitress and assistant manager were all great. Food quality was good, however, they were “out of” two of the cooking methods. I don’t know that much about fondue, but I didn’t really enjoy boiling the meat! The cheese fondue and the chocolate were fantastic! Most disappointing was no unsweetened ice tea? That’s was a little suspect.
The NYE four course dinner was inequality priced for the amount of food that was served. The details of the dinner should have been explained on the website and/or from the Melting Pot employee that called to confirm the reservation, not once but twice. Our server was not observant and honestly did not seem friendly at all. They failed to check on our party numerous times. The whole experience seemed misleading. I would not recommend to anyone.
This will be our last time at Melting Pot. We chose to come here and celebrate New Year’s Eve, and for the amount of money we paid, it was an absolute waist.
We were rushed from course to course, could not enjoy the food. The server was friendly but not helpful, did not explain the food brought out, the sauces, the cooking times, nothing.
To be expected to pay for the special menu of $70 per person, I expect to be able to enjoy it.
We felt like we were just a number and they just wanted us to eat as fast as possible to turn the table. We ended up putting our food in to go boxes, and leaving.
Please note the last time we were there the AC was out and miserable and that was a $300 meal I never got to eat either because we left. This was the last chance, there will not be another. Ever.
New Years Eve
For the first time in 20+ years that we have been visiting Melting Pot (100+ visits), we had our first bad experience. Manager and hostess lied, got caught and had to fix it. The service was good, but the food was salty (they for some reason premade our cheeses and was slightly salty, and the mojo broth was really salty….so not sure if they had the kitchen alter the food or not)…but we have never had this experience before and will never go back to this melting pot.
We would have given a better rating, however, they were out of allot of the protein and we were suppose to get more tuna because of it and we did not
Fantastic meal, great service our waiter was Ares and he was on point!
It was a dining experience. Lots of varied foods. Tasty. Nice atmosphere.
The service and food were both amazing. The restaurant was quiet and our two-seated booth was perfect for a sweet anniversary dinner. I would highly recommend this location!
Very nice staff very on top of everything and even moved us to a more quiet area when requested. Overall great experience
Awesome first time experience
It was Terrible
Nice quiet night. The service was great, as was the food, but the wine list is entry level. No higher end wines served at least at this location. Overall not bad at all.
The experience was awesome as usually. Had a family that has never been before and loved the experience.
Amazing experience for a first timer! Very attentive writer and service.
It was mediocre in all senses. We had the bar tender as our waiter and he was too busy making drinks to keep tabs on us. Drinks were left empty and it took over 3 hours for the meal to complete. Don’t go unless you have a whole night to kill with no other plans after.
Service was slow and awful. Best cheese we’ve ever had but my husband water glass sat empty for over 45 minutes and no one checked back. Then we had to ask foe water twice and it was his only drink. Server left tongs on our table. Waited
40 minutes after we got sat for anyone to take our drink order and we had a reservation.
The food tasted great! The ambiance and service was poor compared to experiences I have had at other locations. Recommend a smoother style of music, volume down slightly, and encourage the servers to check in on customers a bit more often.
Our server was good but not the best. I think he just had too many tables which would cause our service to have delays. The meal took us 2 hours. We didn't even have a main course (we did 2 cheese, salads, and dessert). We were seated in the very back in a section we didn't even know existed and it had zero ambiance compared to the main restaurant. If we go back, I will be sure to ask to be seated in the main restaurant.
It was a great night celebrating my daughter’s 18th birthday. Food was off the chain as well as service. 6 people with drinks $450.00. A little pricey, but worth it for the food and service.
The seating on our booth was sunken in so that the table came up too high. We then found multiple hairs in our napkin. We were never asked if we wanted another cocktail so that was money lost on the restaurant. All in all the service and experience was lacking. We will not be going back.
Ares (?) our server made my daughter’s 18th birthday celebration a total success. His attentiveness and warm and jovial service was exceptional.
The worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant!! Floors were filthy tables were dirty staff was awful. This restaurant is why COVID-19 it is getting out of control It was so dirty I was disgusted and left. I would rather starve then go back to restaurant when I complained about how dirty the poor my service was the hostess at the front Door just laughed and said sorry !! There so unprofessional very bad example for a great town like Pensacola!! Take my advice go to Whataburger before you go to this place at least there you’ll feel safe!
Kayala was awesome as our waitress! Best experience we have ever had at a Melting Pot!
So good. Unique and eclectic dining experience with strong service from Abby.
Great service and always love the interactive experience
The drink pour was really small. Half a martini glass
Our server Ashley was amazing! Food was great and atmosphere made for a wonderful date night.
Used to be good. No more. Service was EXTREMELY SLOW!
Love the whole celebratory feeling of a night at the Melting Pot. Always a lovely ambiance and good service. The main course really needs to be of a higher quality, but the cheese fondue is outstanding!
If I could give zero stars I would. It was the worst dining experience ever. Our table was ignored all night. We were there several hours waiting for our food. There were tables that came way after us that finished their meals before we did. The cheese was burning and our waiter would walk by and never acknowledged it. He checked in on the table across from constantly and completely ignored us. He was rude when we were asking questions about the menu. Foe the amount of money that is charged I expect better service. The manager was kind and apologetic but only invited us back (no thank you) gave $50 in Gift cards and a pathetic slice of cheesecake. I have been to other Melting Pots and they mix the cheese and broth and chocolate in front of you. I have always been well taken care of. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location. Go anywhere else for dinner.
Our waitress, Summer, was one of the best servers I’ve encountered in a long time. She was happy, helpful, and did a great job explaining everything and making it fit for us.
Inattentive service, under new management (probably because the service wasnt good to begin with), air temperature could not be changed as it was too cold inside the restaurant, meat was chewy and not tender no matter how we decided to cook it, waited 15 minutes after the restaurant opened without any explanation as to why our table (which we reserved) was not ready, dinner table was wobbly and sticky (we had to ask the hostess to clean the entire table for us)....I would never return to this restaurant.
When the restaurant opened at 5pm for our 5pm reservation.... the lobby filled with all the patrons for their 5pm reservations..... and we stood there for almost 15 minutes including a wedding party with some elderly people. I've never seen an empty restaurant make everyone wait in the lobby during their reservation time......Not cool!
Just arrived in Orange Beach after a long drive. Grabbed a last minute reservation for party of 5. Worth the drive. Melting Pot never disappoints and our servers suggestions were on point.
I told my fiancé there for the first time and he was so impressed. The staff were all amazing and the food was delicious. He will be recommending the place to everyone he knows
Overall you’re paying for the experience, not the food. I don’t understand how the food was worth $35. How do you give me four little slices per person of chicken, which in reality would be one chicken breast yet charge me $35 even with the added selection of meats it’s not worth the price.
Overall: It’s the Applebee’s of date restaurants.
Food: We had just the cheese pot before leaving: melted cheese good, stale food platter bad.
Drinks: I had a mule. my guess is it was pre-made.
Service: Our waiter was attentive and respectful, but his electric tablet made it look like he was looking at his phone while he engaged with us.
Ambiance: we were seated in an isolated section of the restaurant which had booths, one painting and no exterior exits. A very visible white security camera stared at me the whole time.
Price: cheese pot, two drinks: $48.31, though I believe that includes the tip (my credit charge is still pending).
