The menu is very confusing for first-time visitors. Our server was not at all helpful in explaining the numerous options and generally non-communicative. Though the experience was fun, this restaurant was overall a poor value and WAY overpriced for what it is. The next time I wish to spend $200 on a meal for a family of four, I'll go to a restaurant where I don't have to prepare the food myself.

It was overall great experience, You go on dates for moments and the experience. Only thing, wish there was more portion of meats. For the price already, I think adding some more meat would not hurt. Overall loved it !

Way overpriced. For three people, we had cheese fondue and an entree plus 2 alcoholic drinks and it was $152 before tip. The entree was boiled in a water based mixture not oil. We should have chosen the grilled format. Our server was fine, but he should have explained the boiling effect. It was like putting a small piece of meat into a vat of clear soup.

Well… the food cane out good besides some of the steak meat was very “tendony” but the service was so bad. The waitress we had didnt even introduce herself of take the time to listen to us when we were ordering. When she did bring the food she sort of just slapped it down and alot of times it was an aggressive thing it seemed like. When she went to take the pot away she didnt close the lid all the way & it ended up splashing my husband with hot boiling liquid and she didnt even apologize to us for it. While making the Cheese she was splashing it EVERYWHERE and was banging the fork on the side of the pot(which i know youre not suppose to do) She was quick in and out. Usually the waitresses/waiters take their time and are super nice but this time it was just terrible for servise. I definitely expected more.

Absolutely wonderful experience! My partner and I are both vegan and were amazed with all the delicious vegan fondue options from start to finish! Our server Christina was absolutely wonderful and kindly checked in with the chefs to make sure everything we got was safe for us to eat. She was super knowledgeable and friendly! The ambiance was wonderful and everything was so clean and inviting. Will definitely be returning here in the future.

Dinner at the Melting Pot for a Birthday. Service was below what previous experiences have been. Seemed unprepared for our table of 6. Food quality was down as well. Limited options to swap herb crusted chicken for plain chicken, no tortilla chips for the fiesta fondue, tiny little slice of potato for the veggie tray, and more. Drink refills were slow. You can make your money on alcohol, but gave up as she didn’t come around often.

My friend and I went to celebrate her birthday and everyone and everything was great! The bartender was so friendly and gave great wine recommendations and our waitress, Bailey S, was amazing! She gave excellent menu recommendations and really made us feel welcome and helped us enjoy our experience. The manager even came over to check on us and wish my friend a Happy Birthday. I will definitely go back thanks to the wonderful service and tasty food!

When your paying the prices they are charging if you want extra of something there should not be any "pushback" from the wait staff...We've been going to the OG melting Pot in OakBrook Terrance up until it closed.. we know our way around a fondue pot.

This was one of the worst experiences I have had. We waited 30 minutes after our reservation time and were attempted to be seated at a tiny table next to the kitchen for my birthday dinner. We requested a different table and then 10 minutes later we’re taken to the same table. We were not provided menus and, after we received them, our waitress did not show up for 15 minutes. We finally received the wine we ordered about 30 after we sat and the cheese course another 30 minutes later. We finally decided to leave since we had not received our main course nor could we find our waitress after an hour and 15 minutes of being seated (1 hour and 45 minutes from our reservation time). The carpet was dirty with lettuce and other food on the ground. We have been here many times for years but this was a horrible experience.

We went for New Year’s Eve, and the food was great! The server was very nice as well, however, she was most certainly on some kind of good drugs or something. Perhaps the crack rock. Legitimately was concerned with this girl. The place was nice, it did smell a little fishy. Overall, we would consider returning with a different server for sure, and a less busy night.

Wait staff was a overly insistent on certain options - adamant that we must boil the filet, chicken, etc. in vegetable broth - and that grilling was such a ridiculous option no one had done it in 9 years (except for the people across from us grilling away while we ordered.) Boiled filet?! Weird experience.
