The Melting Pot - Midtown NC
Our Charlotte restaurant is located in the Midtown neighborhood. Close to all Uptown hotels, Bank of America Stadium, Spectrum Center, Blumenthal Performing Arts center.
The experience is great in a group and romantic for couples. The intimate location provides a casually elegant, intimate atmosphere. The relaxing four-course experience begins with a cheese fondue prepared table side. A fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood and vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh and delicious and all entrées are accompanied by an array of dipping sauces to add to the flavorful fun. Chocolate fondue is the finale.
Everything was amazing like always
Always love to dine in at melting pot. Staff is wonderful food is amazing
Love this place.
Nice table . Server was very good .
Nice and intimate. Me and my guy had a great time
Delicious meal, flavors were excellent! Beware of portions, ended up splitting the four course meal between the two of us and there was still plenty of food! Would definitely go here for a dinner again!
Our server, Sam was amazing!!!
Me and my wife went here for her birthday I purchased the “Ultimate Date Night” package. When she saw the table she was so surprised as it had rose petals spread all over the table and a vase of roses ready for her also had a bottle of champagne. Our waiter was super nice and took the time to explain everything and answer any questions we had and also checked in on us to make sure we were ok. The manager even stopped in a few times to make sure we were taken care of. The food was good and the atmosphere was relaxing and we had a good time! The only thing I would complain about was table space as we felt we were elbow to elbow. But over all she had a wonderful experience and a great birthday celebration
We planned ahead to have dinner two hours prior to a concert, which is typically enough time. Reservations for 6, seated at 630 out at 810. Overall it was fine, but we were rushed by not being seated on time.
Christina was our waitress and she was AWESOME!
Great food, service and a fun meal to cook together!
It was our 2 year anniversary and they had a hand written card congratulating us. The sever was amazing. The food was great and the service was fast and efficient they weren’t pushy just efficient.
Great meal food was great plenty of it. Did not disappoint service was excellent. We’re not rushed we were there for about 2 hours from appetizers to dessert
Great Food, service.
It was my Niece’s birthday. Her first dinner at The Melting Pot.
Great experience, we will be back.
Great experience as usual!
Rashan was awesome, he provided the best service I have ever had there.
We definitely enjoyed it. However, we found it to be extremely out of our price range for an average run of the mill night out. We probably will not be back unless it is for like a very special occasion such as a graduation or something.
Everything was fantastic
The cheese dip and dippers were great. The chocolate fondue and fruit dippers were great. We were not a fan of having to cook our own entree though. For that price even though it was restaurant week. It was a nice experience once but doubtful we’d ever go back. And we drove 45 minutes to get there.
It was my boy friends birthday and he had never been to the Melting Pot. This location exceeded his expectations! Our waiter did a fantastic job at explaining the whole experience and gave great recommendations. We have plans to come back to this locations for a future date night.
food and service was excellent as usual but we were seated downstairs in the party room next to a large party of 12 women celebrating a birthday and the noise level was so high for the 4 of us we could not talk without almost yelling at each other. Never had this problem before and it dampened our evening but the food and services great.
Great queens feast deal. Food was good. Turtle choc fondue is to die for! Our server was great.
Group of friends went out for restaurant week. We really enjoyed it. We did the restaurant week menu and Even though the price was lower for the event the food was plentiful. Our server was fabulous and took great care of us. Plus the experience is always fun choosing cheese, cooking styles and desserts. Great time. Thank you melting pot!
It was great! Brandon was AWESOME!
I'm saddened to write this review because I have been a customer of TMP for over 15 years. While I feel like the Melting Pot is still great, I may not return for Restaurant Week. The first issue is that our server did not even take the time to ask if we had been there before, she didn't make much eye contact- nor did we feel like she was interested in setting the tone for a great night. We felt extremely rushed this time. They moved our cheeses to the side to make room for the cooking broth, which obviously made the cheese harden and where we couldn't even finish them. After years and years of going to TMP, they now decided to take the salad course off restaurant week. While some people may not care, for us regulars we were a bit annoyed because we are still spending at least $35 for consistency. I felt like since the manager knows us, he would help us understand and consider making our experience better but nothing happened. With my husband being in this industry, I realize that restaurant week is tough, but i also know that it is important to make all customers, especially regulars, feel like VIP's. Our server came back to ask if we knew what dessert we wanted the moment we got our 2nd course, and checked back 4x after when clearly we were wanting to take our time and enjoy our meals Again, we felt extremely rushed.
The Melting Pot, is sort of, your home away from home. Although it's a sit down, dine in restauraunt, you still get to ensure your food is made "with love". Me and my wife went to celebrate a new job, and an anniversary, and couldn't have been happier. Our server was relatively new (1 month) but sounded like an expert and gave us an incredible recommendation for MoJo style!
First time with that, and certainly won't be the last.
Great food and service. Excellent wine too
Always a fun time. Nice slower paced meal with time to enjoy friends and food.
The food was wonderful as always and the service was great!
Excellent fondue! Love this place!
Fantastic food and service! Looking forward to the next time.
Great place! Service was wonderful and we will for sure be back!
It was our 15th Anniversary and the staff helped me prepare surprises for my wife in advance. I ordered Champaign, Roses, and Chocolate Covered Strawberries. I also purchased a gift and dropped it off 1 day in advance of my reservation. The staff went out of their way to ensure this was a magnificent experience...And, it WAS!!! This was possibly the best dining experience that we have ever had and we have dined all over the world!!! Thank you so much!!!
Good place for teenagers and people who don’t eat out much. Great for people who enjoy Benihana and other “gimmick” restaurants. Tables were either next to busy large party or down a dark, narrow corridor.
The service was nice, but overall a poor value. Pretty expensive - $150 for two people.
Food was very good and so was the service!
Great experience !!
Doug was a great waiter, he has the Melting Pot down and gave great recommendations
Ryan was great, as usual.
