Great service and very nice waitress. It was my sister in law ‘s Birthday and they brought us extra portions for the chocolate and gave her chocolate covered strawberries to go which was a nice added surprise.

I guess it's my fault for not really researching this place. I was not aware that you had to cook your own food. When we found that out, we were really upset. We were also disapointed when the bill came. If I wanted to spend 100 cooking my own food, I would've just stayed home for that. Our waitress was very nice, and the cheese fondue was great, and the chocolate fondue wasn't bad either. The food wasn't worth the price, very small portions, 50 dollars for 3 different chopped up steaks that fit on a plate as big as a dollar bill was not enough. I made a reservation for the day after Valentine's day, we got there 30 minuets before our reservation, it wasn't busy at all, but they made us wait. A family of 4 walked in right after us without a reservation, and they took them immediately. We sat down around 815 and we didn't leave this place until almost 10pm. The service was extremely slow for it not being busy. The other funny thing was, our waitress asked us if we would like any more desert dippers and we asked for more bananas, and brownies, she brought us a tiny little plate with 4 little tiny slices of the end of a banana and a small brownie cut into 4 pieces. I was expecting her to bring us more, so ibwant sure why she even bothered to ask. We ended up getting out of there after that. I wouldn't recommend the melting pot to anyone. I'm actually sorry that we wasted our time and our money here.

First time there to celebrate my Birthday. Did the 4 course meal. I chose the Cajun n the mojo cooking sauce. Had the Dark Dulche for dessert. Great food, great service, and they gave us 2 glasses of Champaign. For my bday. Stuffed and pleased. Make your reservation now!

This was my first time dining at the melting pot and the experience was great. If you would like to try something different and you like fondue then I would recommend the melting pot.

I was highly disappointed that my bill was overstated by nearly $50. Upon catching the mistake, the overcharge was removed.

Also, on of the hostesses had my sports coat balled up as she removed it from the closet next to the hostess station. This infuriated me as the jacket was brand new.

I’ve dined at melting pot locations in the past but this is my first time in maple shade. I made a reservation for me and my wife and the wait time was short considering the restaurant was crowded when we arrived. There was good beer and good food, I left with a full stomach. The servers Jess and Allison(in training at the time) were attentive and very helpful explaining the menu and how things work there. I’d recommend requesting either of them as your servers should you choose to eat here. The price is up there but I believe it’s worth it for a quiet evening with good food.

Our waiter seemed as though he was struggling to keep up with all of his tables throughout the night, so we didn’t mind if he forgot to bring us something or took a little longer than usual.
However, he took a very long time to bring us our broths after we were done our cheese. So it took almost 45 min after our cheese to get our entree.
While trying to finish up our entree, our waiter tried to rush us to finish so that we could get our dessert and then did the same thing during our dessert so that we could get out of there... even though we were waiting on him all night.

My boyfriend and I love Melting Pot - we’ve had good experiences with this location. However, this past visit wasn’t that good at all. Our server seemed too busy to care about service. For starters, she brought me the wrong wine - I had to ask the manager walking by to replace it since reminding our server twice didn’t work. When it came time for dessert, she forgot to bring a menu — after reminding her, she said she would “look around” for one. We had to look for dessert by googling the menu.... It wasn’t a good visit, and I’m really disappointed, because I wanted my boyfriend to enjoy his dinner that night. Would have been better with another server.

Food was ok but we were seated under a large ac vent. Not the one with fins but a straight pipe. The ac was pumping on this cold winters day. Server was friendly but was weighted down by what they called a buddy crowd. I think the experience is fun but no dinner should take 4 hours to get through.

From the ease of making the reservation,to the courteous confirming call for the reservation it was just one of best dining experiences. The staff was friendly and helpful for all of our questions about the menu selections. It was our first time there and it didn't disappoint. The menu was plentiful with selections and we chose the 4 course selection. From appetizer to dessert it was complete with flavor and appearance. The layout of the restaurant was spacious and even some private space for couples. The bar area was inviting and ready for people. Our waiter Ryan made it
a fun time and took care of us in every way for the completion of a great night. We will always keep The Melting Pot in our view for all of our family and friends meal gatherings.

I've been to many Melting Pot restaurants, the first being in Raleigh NC. This was the first time I was in the Maple Shade restaurant. The food was great but the service was horrible. We waited way to long between entrees. Seeing tables close to us being taken care of faster and more attentively. Finally had to have another waiter bring us our dessert entree. But sure enough our waiter was back hovering for the bill to be paid. His meger tip reflected the service we received. Better to drive over to Philly for better service.

Really great service! A fun experience for our family of 4. A special treat for us to do together as a family. Even though we did the happy hour option, it still was a bit on the pricey side for us, but glad we did it as a special treat.

We really like The Melting Pot, but feel the prices are entirely too expensive. Even a child’s “combo” is $20+ dollars (not including a drink). That’s a bit outlandish. On top of paying for the entrees, you must choose a “cooking style” for each pot. Each one is $5 or $6. The entree portions are small for an adult. At the Maple Shade, NJ, location, there was an entree called, “The Main Street.” It included two small medallions each of steak and chicken, two pieces of shrimp, and two small raviolis. It was more of an appetizer size, so unless you fill up on the cheese fondue course and dessert, you will leave hungry. Our bill for two adults and two children was $180.00 (including tip). We didn’t order any alcoholic drinks. This is an exorbitant bill for a fondue restaurant, and would have been even higher had we not unknowingly visited during Restaurant Week, when the entree prices are $10 lower per person than usual! The bill for our table would have been over $200 on a normal night!! With that said, the food is good. However, except for the novelty of it, your money is better spent elsewhere. I would not go back unless there was a special or I had a discount coupon.

We have been to 3 other locations and found the cheese and dessert FONDUE to be much thicker and more appealing at those locations. Also our desert fondue finally made it's way to luke warm as we were finishing up. A bit disappointing given the cost and hour drive for a less than great experience.

Food was amazing as always! The managers are always so friendly and accommodating! The server wasn’t the friendliest, that we were used to. Maybe it was the hour? Seemed we annoyed him, didn’t tell him about our wrong order we didn’t want to make it any worse. However we ate it because the food is always enjoyable. Will return though!

We love the melting pot because it is always an event as well as a good meal. We were celebrating a special occasion and our choice of restaurant made it more special. Service and food were both excellent. It made it a plus that we were there during restaurant week. A little disappointed with the price of the dessert course. It was $20 additional for the kids just for dessert. That seems kind of steep. A little over priced over all but we enjoyed ourselves.

Our second time at this location. We were party of 4 at a double burner table so we got to have 2 different cooking pots/style for each course which was to really great, you could mix it up even more this way. We "settled" for a very early dinner on a Sunday afternoon which also worked well. You can expect to spend at least 2 hours here and by the time we were finished it was "regular" dinner hour and honestly we were all full and satisfied. We had the same server as our1st visit and she is very good...knows the menu and knows how to talk to people without being an annoyingly over-eager overly-cheerful chain restaurant server. My kids love the "cook your own food place!" They're 8 and can handle a fork. My wife and I had avoided MP for a few years because we both felt it had lost something in the experience, but our faith has been restored. We will return.

I booked for my sons birthday not knowing restaurant week started the same day. That was a pleasant surprise. Cheaper prices without skimping out on portion size. The food was delicious and the service was exceptional! Our waiter was Jared and I must say he was excellent! Very pleasant, friendly and efficient. Assistant Manager Alexis also stopped at our table to make sure we didn’t need anything. I would definitely recommend the Maple Shade Melting Pot.

The awesomeness of this evening started with a call from the restaurant explaining that they no longer offered a celebration package that was picked along with a sincere apology and an offer of a new option. This was a date night / early birthday celebration. I was worried with such a late hour reservation (9:30 pm) some quality of service would be missed out. Much to my delight I couldn’t have been more wrong. Our waiter Ryan was on top of things with each course as well as patient and helpful when we had a hard time deciding on our selection. Even though we said we had been guest previously entree selections, recommendations, and cooking times were thoroughly explained.

While the quality of food was good and the experience was nothing less than excellent I find the price point brought the total value down. Not so much that I wouldn’t do it again, but enough that it’s not feasible to do more often. In all honesty you can get a better quality, more filling dinner at a quality restaurant. I understand that you’re paying for a curated experience, however when looking at the cost analysis for the restaurant I feel they could either offer bigger portions or a lower price point.
