The Melting Pot - Maple Shade NJ Ratings and Reviews
Really great resteraunt and good and our server, I think his name was jarod he was beyond awesome. Made us a number two out of blondies for the desert after hearing it was our two year dating aniversary. All night he was very kind and even cracking jokes made for a very nice experience.
My wife and I were going for our anniversary. We get seated the waiters was great! She explained everything. We order our food and drinks. When the drinks came they looked nice.... there was very very little alcohol and the price for a small glass was almost $10. The cheese came and went without a problem. My wife is a vegetarian the meal she ordered was with tofu, artichoke, aspargras, mushrooms and some weird looking ball of stuff. The tofu tasted like a sponge soaked in terriki with extra extra salt. The mystery ball she refused to eat it because of how it looked and how everything else tasted. My food was ok. I could of gone to another resturant and gotten more delicious food for less money. The chocolate was ok. We got our bill that was just about $200 that was for 2 4 course meals and 4 drinks. The last drink I received was a splash of juice and ice. I will never go back. I should of listened to everyone who said don't go there.
P.S. it's only cause you asked.
I have been to The Melting Pot before and had great experiences. This was my first time at this location and it was awful. It started out good but progressively got worse. My reservations were for 5:15pm and we didn't leave the restaurant till 9pm. Everything was good until the temperature started dropping, it got so cold that my nose was running. People around us were leaving too because of how cold it was. Not to mention the hair in the lobster and the fact we waited 40mins in between the main cooking and the chocolate pot. We had to take our chocolate to go because it was so cold. This was my birthday dinner from my boyfriend and I could have picked anywhere. The management ended up comping our check, which was nice but i would have preferred a better experience.
Wasn't very busy yet me and my date were forgotten about we didnt even get to experience true dessert part of our 4 course meal, yet we were charged the full rate. My date actually had to get up n go to the kitchen to locate an employee so that someone could give us our check. It was our 1st time and the menu seemed to be explained in a rush. On top of us being put in the corner away from everyone when there were bigger spacious table booths all over. Maybe then they may have remembered us. Over all the excitement n waiting so long to try I read reviews n it was nothing of what I read. I thought it was rude to bill us a full course meal and not provide that to us. No desire to return. The fondue delight was an ok choice the chicken and shrimp are horrible choices but the steak and lobster was actually good. The Cesar salad was good, and the sunrise sangria was iced up n watered down. Can't say what the chocolate was because like I said we were left in the corner forgotten about
My mother and I have been wanting to visit. It was her 84th birthday. Ii was our first visit and we had no clue on how the whole ordering process worked. Our server, Tracy was very personable and took the time to explain everything to us. Nice ambiance, great food, and fantastic service! We will surely recommend Melting Pot to others and will definitely be back!
Food is fun and a great experience for all. Desserts are the best part....and maybe next time I would do that alone!
Service is ALWAYS great at this location....just melting pot in general is quite spendy and they rarely offer any discounts.
That being said, for the price quality and quantity could be a little better.
They skimp on the expensive cuts and try and fill you up on breads and veggies.
This is the case at all Melting Pot locations though.
Awesome Experience ! I took my children here for their first time ( I had been to the one in Fort Lauderdale and Phila.) previously. Food was amazing and fun! Our waitress was helpful and sweet. It was so nice to have one in Maple Shade & not have to cross the bridge.
Thanks again :D
We've dined at several locations of The Melting Pot over the years. As always, the food was terrific and plentiful. A great location for special occasions. The only thing which was less than stellar was our server seemed to be a little overwhelmed that night. I don't know if his table load was too great for one person but he was at times not to be found. A few times, either the manager or other wait staff noticed there were plates to be cleared from our table or our drinks were getting low and took care of things. I commend those employees for stepping in. What I found a bit strange is when our server would eventually make it to our table, he was always surprised to hear that someone else had taken care of us. Certainly not a big problem, he just seemed a bit frazzled at times.
This was my husband's and my first visit, and it was second to none! Our waitress/manager was everything! She was very helpful, patient, and full of information, conversation, and laughter...we love that! The restaurant was immaculate, cozy, inviting...stellar! All of the food was fresh from appetizers to dessert! We were very pleased with the entire experience...even cooking our own food! Thanks for a fun time!
I had reservations for 5:30, we were sat at exactly 5:30. However, the total experience took over 3 1/2 hours!! Way, way, way too long to be at a sit down dinner!! I was completely dissatisfied with Joe long we had to wait between courses!! Extremely disappointed!!
You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces just good food from fresh ingredients. Dining at The Melting Pot was truly a remarkable experience. Good Friends, Good Food, Good Times! Eating and Dining are two different things. Eating is an activity. Dining, an Experience.
This is actually my fiance's favorite place to eat and experience. However, the location closest to us had shut down, and she hasnt been to one in 2 years. I decided to surprise her one weekend and drive and hour to the closest one (Maple Shade). It was fantastic, food and staff were amazing. Recommend It to anyone out there no matter what the occasion.
Always love the melting pot. A bit disapppointed on this visit. The restaurant week menu isn't worth the trip, such small portions compared to big night out.
Extremely slow and unresponsive service too, handled accordingly by the manager when we flagged her down.
