The Melting Pot - Louisville
We go here every year for my sons birthday. They did not disappoint. The server was amazing and the food wonderful. Can’t wait to go again
Birthday celebration and it was wonderful!
Very slow service; no water refills; rushed us through dessert because closing time was nearing. Had to remove remaining food from griddle because the waiter took so long to return to remove it and provide dessert. Given that we were charged a premium because it was New Year's, we'll probably not return on such an occasion. Very mediocre experience....
It was fantastic and even though we had to leave early the server was attentive and provided a great experience.
We celebrate NYE at the Melting Pot almost every year. It’s become a tradition. This year did not disappoint. All of the corses were excellent and our server, Melanie B did an excellent job!
Here is our favorite place for the special celebrations, we love the foods and ambiance.
Lovely experience worth every dollar. Food was exceptional.
The meals & cocktails were mediocre but deserts were excellence. I would come back for deserts only & nothing else.
My husband and I took our 12 and 14 year old daughters here for the first time. My 14 year old eats everything, but my 12 year old is very picky so she just ate off our plates, and we only ordered portions for 3 people. It was still soooo much food. Everything was good snd the service was great.
Great time, great date night, Melanie is the BEST server!!!
Amazing as always
So over priced. Food was flavorless. Refused us salt and pepper. Rushed us to order. Place was dead and now I see why.
The food was incredible as was our server, but it is very pricy to eat here. One thing I would change would be your music selection, which was WAY TOO loud. Why have loud music piped in for a romantic evening?
It was our 25 year anniversary, but the restaurant didn't do anything special for it, which was disappoointing.
Birthday dinner for my fiancé and everything was good, my first time here, not hers, but overall was very nice place, I just think the price isn’t worth the value for what you get, mainly the entrees seem over priced and my Caesar salad was sub par compared to other places of the same price. I would recommend to others to try it out, just not my cup of tea, but the service was good and friendly.
Overall a great experience! It was so fun to cook your own food and to just enjoy being with my partner! Great romantic ambiance! Desert was phenomenal!
I have been to The Melting Pot on several occasions over the years. The food is always good and well worth the price. The service was the only issue this time as our server failed to bring a sauce when asked and was not very attentive to our table. I mentioned to the wait staff that it was our 17th anniversary and got nothing, not even a congratulation from the staff. I would go back again, as this seems to be the exception and not the rule with the service we normally get.
Consistently good food and good service. Really fun spot for groups and special occasions.
Fantastic service and delicious food. Date night was a success!
Good, but with COVID precautions it looses some ambience
Excellent service and food
Always great.
We came to the Melting Pot for the Thursdate special to celebrate my birthday. I was sooo excited to try a couple new menu items and spend some quiet time with my husband. We have 5 kids and quiet time is rare.
We were seated right next to the bar. On the corner. It has to be the loudest table in the restaurant. Every couple of minutes someone screamed “corner!”... don’t even get me started on staff conversations and ice shaking. It was just awful. We spent most of the dinner coming up with jokes just to keep me from crying.
My husband booked online but then called to tell them he wanted the Thursday special for my birthday and I guess they didn’t get it relayed properly. The whole thing just felt like a very expensive fast food restaurant. The lighting was bright, the service was fast (in the way that makes you feel rushed- not in the way you want it to be fast) and our peaceful night out at a relaxing dinner never happened. This was literally all I wanted for my birthday and it was awful. Next time I’ll just bring the kids. Might as well.
I’m not even sure them yelling “corner” is effective. I was standing up from the booth when someone yelled “corner” and immediately was in my face. There just has to be a better way. At $145 for two people, it just shouldn’t have been like that.
Basically the only thing that saved us just giving up was that the waiter was very nice and attentive.
I visited during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was a real treat as we've not gone to indoor restaurants many times since the before-time. I appreciated Melting Pot's precautions and felt as comfortable as one can be while eating in the same room as any number of strangers. What interesting times we live in.
The food was great. Service, prompt and organized. I hope the pandemic is over soon, but if not, we won't be afraid to dine-in again at Melting Pot.
As always, great food.
High-priced menu, but definitely good food and service. Staff very friendly and informative!
Robert made date night so much fun! It was my fiance's first time ever going to The Melting Pot and he already can't wait to go back. Robert was always available without being intrusive to our conversation and he kept the tabletop spotless. Courses were timed perfectly so we never felt rushed or forgotten.
Make sure you request Robert when you visit!!
My family was on vacation and we really enjoyed the whole process it was my first time as well. Staff were kind and very informative
We purchased the Fondue Experience for Two...four courses. First of all, you get a lot of food! The cheese fondue, plus salad, plus entree, plus dessert was a lot. We got the fiesta blend for the cheese fondue which was my husband’s choice and pretty standard queso. It came with chips, breads, and fresh veggies with apple to dip. Salad was your typical salad. I ordered the Land and Sea entree which consisted of shrimp, salmon, chicken, sirloin steak. My husband ordered the Pacific Rim which consisted of shrimp, filet, duck, and Ahi Tuna. Broccoli, potatoes, and mushrooms were the vegetable sides. Seasonings on the meat and chicken and duck was nicely done. Our fondue was Caribbean Jerk flavor picked by husband. If you like your food boiled, that’s what it is. It’s a broth boil. For the chocolate dessert fondue I chose the yin-yang. Wonderful blend of white and dark chocolate with strawberries, bananas, pineapple, marshmallow, Rice Krispie treats, brownie and blondie bites and pound cake bites for dipping. Our server was always checking on us to see if we needed refills on anything. If I go back, I think I would try the skillet cooking method instead of the broth boil. Other than that, it was something different to try!
Date night and as always the experience was awesome. Social distancing allowed us to feel like we had the place to ourselves! Our waiter did a fantastic job with pacing and provided terrific service. We highly recommend this place
The Melting Pot is always a great experience. This visit did not disappoint. The food was delicious. The only miss was the cocktails we had we just so so...but it's worth noting that we are very particular about our cocktails. My second drink was a beer and all was good.
We took the kids just for dessert part of their back to school dinner. It was great we all enjoyed it.
Great service. Loved “ grill your own” option. 2 16 year olds on a date treated exceptionally well.
Great service and delicious food!
The food was excellent as always. The service was very slow and left a lot to be desired. Perhaps because a large tip is automatically included in the bill? I had to beg to get my water glass refilled once the entire night.
Our service was very good. The server checked on us often, and brought everything we asked for. The food was fresh and delicious. Dining here is always a fantastic experience.
Our party of 4 had a great evening there. Food was great. They abided by COVID protocols to a tee. Our server was very prompt at all times even though he was training someone. Whoever made our excellent cocktails should be commended. My son said his was the best he’s ever had ( YIng Yan ) and mine was superb (blueberry lemon drop). The sweet additions to our dessert fondue was very praiseworthy. The macarons were scrumptious and the the cream puffs were the bomb ! The cheesecake would have been perfect if it were just plain or chocolate. We were celebrating just being married and they gave us a little surprise, which was thoughtful. Our 2 guests had never been there before and had thought it was going to be over rated but were in for a wonderful surprise. They said it was the best meal they ever had. They were making plans to come back again.
Another lovely meal at the Melting Pot. Always an enjoyable dining experience.
Generally have good experiences here but the waitress excessively rushed us through the entire service. And I was hurt we were not asked about, or congratulated for, the special occasion we were celebrating- even though every table around us was given this courtesy (and I specifically mentioned it in the reservation). Took the wind out of the sails of the celebration to be ushered along so quickly.
Anniversary
It was my one year anniversary and we had the best time. Amazing service and excellent food. We will definitely be back!
